  1. In one review, the book sleeve was unnumbered. Maybe they got extra copies not in the 1/5000 category?
  2. Update time! I added the crane component. Here is the crane fully raised and extended. There are knobs in the back to control everything.
  3. I think the car looks great as I expected another car like the Sian, and that’s what was created. I agree that it could be a lot better with cooler functions, but LEGO targets adults looking for office décor rather than people whose main hobby is building LEGO. I feel like they are making a fair compromise by introducing a ton of new and useful parts for people who like functional models while creating a good-looking model that fits the bill as a display piece. $400 is a bit much and I think everyone can agree that it is quite expensive. I’m excited to get all the new parts (in three months ) to use for MOC building.
  4. I keep the panels in two closed bins, a medium one for smaller panels and a large one for the big panels. It's not an elegant sorting system but I never have trouble when trying to find a specific panel.
  5. You have to physically, legitimately, wait an entire week in order to let the new account you added be allowed to be set to owner. It’s ridiculous, but it was implemented to prevent hackers from stealing people’s channels. After the week passes, you should see a new option besides editor and manager where you can transfer ownership of the channel to the new account. When you sign in to that new account, you can select the channel you want to use by clicking your profile photo and looking down the pop up list. I haven’t come across the instructions yet but will update when I do.
  6. I’m disappointed with LEGO’s quality control, at least that of the Mexico factory that supplies North America. The universal joint seems to have gotten a retool, and the new mold allows an axle to go too far into the part, causing blockages and high friction. Hopefully it will be resolved later. On the other hand, those transparent pink lift arms are super neat! I don’t think I will end up using them but I want them for the cool factor. I wish there were more transparent parts in general, and now that LEGO retired polycarbonate in favor of MABS, we should see more transparent parts. To add to the transparent connector discussion, I own what may be the only known official transparent axle? I acquired a 4L axle in trans-clear that has all the LEGO markings on it. It would be super useful if it wasn’t so impossibly rare.
  7. @nerdsforprez is it calling your account a “brand account” I had to move a channel to a different account once from a brand account and it was a PITA; took three weeks! What you can do is “add an account to a team” through your brand account (add your new account), promote to editor and wait an entire week, than change that account’s role to owner. I don’t have the full instructions on me but can try to find them.
  8. It’s available at my local LEGO store, if you live near one, they often restock at different times and more frequently than the online website.
  9. I reduced the width to 13 studs since the original 17 stud width made the vehicle look ridiculous and reduced the usable height for the crane arm. I think this looks a lot better. Thoughts? I attempted making the boom but it didn’t work out. The reduced width allows me to make a better boom and that is my next step.
  10. With all the new blue panels we’ve been getting, I wouldn’t be surprised that the interior is blue.
  11. Good news, everything I ordered including the new parts is there. If you ordered right before the merger, you should receive everything.
  12. You’re right, I didn’t pay much attention to that. I will use 5L half-beams.
  13. Looks like we have similar ideas! That boom sure is impressive, do you think it will be challenging to fit it on the superstructure within the size limit?
  14. I plan to plug it in to the top holes of the beam frame and brace it via the 5L lift arms on the sides.
  15. Progress! Mini fake engine installed and working, front axle added, rear fenders added, and turntable secured.
  16. I want to participate in a contest again, I can't even remember the last time I joined... Anyways, I chose to do a mini mobile crane since the new small turntable parts encouraged me to try something new. The vehicle will almost max out the build volume and I aim to keep it at 17x39x15 (9945 cubic studs). I plan to add an extending boom, a fake engine, HOG steering, a lifting mechanism for the boom, and turntable rotation. Here is my progress: -- TechnicRCRacer
  17. My March 1st order (pre-merger) says it is shipped and I ordered a lot of the new parts, I hope they will be in the package.
  18. The only other part I can think of is the 4L rigid hose (75c04 on Rebrickable). I can’t think of anything else but that part is pretty rare (one set). Yes, I believe so. The 12 tooth gears were made as a direct replacement. This should work, you could also use non-LEGO bands if they are too loose. You could replace all of the toothed bushes that don’t require the teeth to be engaged with another part. I’ve never had a problem with toothed bushes breaking and it might be best not to replace them with newer ones. Alternate models may require more toothed functionality.
  19. The 3L bar exists in blue, but not the 4L (lightsaber) bar.
  20. I love it! The sliding platform is impressive and I love the color choice!
  21. Not happy! It's safe to say that I won't be using B&P going forward if they keep it like this. I wonder if this is to stop resellers from buying parts to sell at a higher price? I will stick to BrickLink from now on, even though they are also very slow with adding new parts.
  22. I think it looks great! For the hood, to make it look nicer, could you replace the 6x10 plate with a 6x6 tile and two 2x6 tiles?
  23. I mentioned a year ago that I was going to build a dark green supercar. The chassis is done and works well, so I am starting the bodywork. I am struggling to find a way to fill in the two large holes on each side of the back. Should I fill them or not, and what would be a good way to fill them?
  24. Not a spybotics hub — that’s a Micro Scout from the Star Wars Droid Developer Kit. Use vinegar to clean the corrosion and it should work again. Apparently you can program them with flashes of light.
