I just noticed in my copy of 42151, the 1x7 beam got a new mold where the injection point is hidden in one of the inset sections between the pinholes. No more mold marks on the top smooth surface!

42154 - 2022 Ford GT

If so, that’s cool that they are including those in more realistic sets. It makes it easier to see the pistons move if the top of the blocks are covered or the engine is in a hard-to-see area. This makes me think, is this set roughly the same scale as the old Technic figures? -

Instant buy, this looks amazing. The new corner panels are intriguing, and I love dark blue! -
Didn’t LEGO switch the plastic for their transparent pieces not too long ago? I think they now share the same properties (I believe it’s a new variety of ABS plastic).

I assume the USA will see a very limited release of this polybag like the last one (only available as a gift with purchase), super disappointing. -

Are you talking about the thin wheels behind the treads? They exist in axle hole variant: https://rebrickable.com/parts/56903/wheel-18-x-8-with-fake-bolts-and-shallow-spokes-and-axle-hole/#part_usage -
The other one has significant friction but will sag under weight. The most comparable friction is like that of Mixel joints but a little stronger.

Rebrickable has it listed as a new element ID, so I think you are right and it is no longer beveled. I wonder why?

All I can think of is one ridge cut off a ribbed hose, that has enough friction to hold on to an axle end and comes in many colors.

Fair point, I guess you cannot get shorter than 6L without modifying the cable. You can make longer links though.

They have done a similar latch system in the past with the old flex cables, and while fragile when opened, they hold very tight and secure when closed. EDIT: I just realized we already practically have customizable links when combining flex cable, rigid hose that is 2L shorter than cable, and 2 ball socket flex cable ends.
