  1. I just noticed in my copy of 42151, the 1x7 beam got a new mold where the injection point is hidden in one of the inset sections between the pinholes. No more mold marks on the top smooth surface!
  2. We talked earlier that it’s probably a recolor of the new 7L flip-flop beam. It is visible from the top of the wing.
  3. Green knob wheels will finally be available again after a very long hiatus in 10313 Wildflower Bouquet.
  4. I will be blunt: this model does not look good to me. It seems basic to build with no interesting techniques or functions.
  5. Decent parts pack; black shocks and rims are nice. Did I hear correctly that this is 50 USD or am I mistaken?
  6. I see another curious piece: look between the second and third 3x11 yellow panel on the side. It’s some sort of alternating hole pattern piece (that probably already exists) in red, which no other alternating hole piece appears in yet. I wonder what it is?
  7. If so, that’s cool that they are including those in more realistic sets. It makes it easier to see the pistons move if the top of the blocks are covered or the engine is in a hard-to-see area. This makes me think, is this set roughly the same scale as the old Technic figures?
  8. Instant buy, this looks amazing. The new corner panels are intriguing, and I love dark blue!
  9. Didn’t LEGO switch the plastic for their transparent pieces not too long ago? I think they now share the same properties (I believe it’s a new variety of ABS plastic).
  10. I assume the USA will see a very limited release of this polybag like the last one (only available as a gift with purchase), super disappointing.
  11. Just noticed the 5L beam is back in green which means it is no longer exclusive to the Mack Anthem. I count 4 7L flip flop beams and two of the 4x7 bent beams in green along with the two types of new panels. Cool!
  12. Are you talking about the thin wheels behind the treads? They exist in axle hole variant: https://rebrickable.com/parts/56903/wheel-18-x-8-with-fake-bolts-and-shallow-spokes-and-axle-hole/#part_usage
  13. I spy four new panel types, exciting for miniature cars/details!
  14. The other one has significant friction but will sag under weight. The most comparable friction is like that of Mixel joints but a little stronger.
  15. I was just looking for those as well, I can’t wait until they are available on PAB.
  16. I hypothesize that the models getting rougher has to do with expansion and contraction under different temperatures and seasons. My older models do not run very nice until I rebuild them.
  17. It definitely struggles in high gear. It’s probably normal.
  18. Just got the Airbus helicopter for $170 (normally $210) at Costco, check it out if you’re in the western USA. They have an entire aisle of LEGO including the Icons line, it’s the most I’ve ever seen there.
  19. Did you try switching batteries? The battery box will shut off when a motor is turned on when there isn’t enough power to make it move.
  20. Rebrickable has it listed as a new element ID, so I think you are right and it is no longer beveled. I wonder why?
  21. All I can think of is one ridge cut off a ribbed hose, that has enough friction to hold on to an axle end and comes in many colors.
  22. Fair point, I guess you cannot get shorter than 6L without modifying the cable. You can make longer links though.
  23. They have done a similar latch system in the past with the old flex cables, and while fragile when opened, they hold very tight and secure when closed. EDIT: I just realized we already practically have customizable links when combining flex cable, rigid hose that is 2L shorter than cable, and 2 ball socket flex cable ends.
  24. Small update: I took this to the yearly LEGO convention in my area and won a small award. We don’t really have a Technic category unfortunately so I display under the robots and mechanisms category. I am thinking about revisiting this MOC and fixing some details, especially the sides.
  25. Just wanted to share some photos I came across at a relative's house. These were taken around 1993 I believe.
