  1. Whoever built that took the standard 8070 car model and changed it a bit, I notice there is no rear airfoil.
  2. Interesting! It’s pretty challenging to get the tolerances right with an FDM printer, good job! What program did you use to design them?
  3. I agree with @letsbuild, this looks amazing! We might have a winner on our hands...
  4. You geared it up. That thing is gonna go super fast!
  5. I’d be careful with those red bevel gears, they are not the strongest...
  6. Hi, The competition is already heating up and so many complex and intimidating creations are being built! Here is my prototype chassis: So far, it has full independent suspension, a 2 speed gearbox, and a strange steering mechanism used with the steering wheel. I'm not quite sure if I like the front suspension, I might rework it soon. It has a fake axle engine with 4 cylinders in the back. It's a real challenge to make the suspension fit within 15 studs! Please leave any and all suggestions below, I need them! -TechnicRCRacer
  7. This solution is quite unique! Haven't started on the steering for my model and it seems most people have gone for a different route.
  8. Yay, 11x15 frame in a useful color! I also spot the 8 prong gearbox clutch in LBG instead of yellow.
  9. Correct, it’s the minifigure ring piece. They aren’t hard to find because they can be found in the wedding favor set. There isn’t much use to them, but they can come in handy in tight spots.
  10. This is exciting, I have been waiting for a contest like this! Also the timing is quite perfect, I have some of the small fenders coming in a B&P order that should be arriving any day now.
  11. That's an incredible find! Do all the motors work?
  12. I have one with the same issue. I have access to a 3D printer and am planning to design a new spring holder part.
  13. Oh, I saw the Auto Dozer in person a few months ago! Very clever design!
  14. I found that out the hard way, I dropped my copy of 9398. This car is super fast, I love it!
  15. Please upload pictures, I opened mine and it won’t return to center anymore. I thing I put the spring in incorrect.
  16. Yeah, they only appeared in one set. Be VERY careful when buying cylinders used, 9 of mine are duds.
  17. @JundisAn air tank will enable the cylinders to move faster for longer. I think it would make sense in any application if you can justify the cost (they are very expensive!)
  18. I put half-stud thick axle beams on either side to eliminate that issue and it seems to work fine on the physical model.
  19. @Jurss Whoops, I was silly and forgot to put them in the LXF file. They connect on the 9-stud long axle with the bushings and also on the lower suspension arm. I will fix the file and picture. Edit: Fixed original post!
  20. After quite a while, I have created a front suspension I am very happy with! I am so proud of it that I have created an LXF file for people to download. the setup features drive, steering, suspension, and a (disconnected) fake Inline 4 engine. It is very rigid and fits well with the Rally Car wheels. I hope to make a supercar with this suspension soon, but I have to create the rear suspension first! Bricksafe with LXF
  21. A rally car contest would be fun! Something a little bigger than 42109 and not motorized.
  22. I have a not-so-serious version of this issue with my controller. Either the remote isn’t getting the power it needs or some component is going bad, or even maybe the potentiometers in the joysticks are falling apart.
