  1. I’m a sucker for Silver Age Batsuits, and it burned when Zebra Batman became a con exclusive and Rainbow Batman became a DLC exclusive, so Bullseye Batman would no doubt be a Brickheadz. Dang it, can’t multi quote. I would like to have seen adult Lex steal the cakes, really get the creative juices flowing. No bad taste DC line is complete without Nightwing and Tarantula vs Blockbuster in a Blüdhaven face off or Arsenal vs Cheshire with Prometheus in a hallucinogenic showdown. Includes exclusive dead cat figure.
  2. I love the scope of this. One the one hand a surreal moment from a very whimsical book, on the other one of the most notorious comic book deaths.
  3. Especially with the proposed rise in set prices.
  4. In a hypothetical scenario I would like a gold standard Batcave, but I would rather see the Hall of Doom, Fortress of Solitude, and the Justice League satellite before that. If they can do a raft of Batmobiles they can do various hero/villain hideouts. Or if they really want to stick with vehicles then there’s other characters who have rides.
  5. Call me Mr Picky but I would rather have a Black Adam figure that I can afford, or at least have a chance of owning. I would also be down for a Bugle-style DC set, heavy on the Easter eggs.
  6. It’s painful when the most exciting thing about a set is that the box design is hopeful.
  7. We are definitely at that stage though. I mean I’m not going to buy it if it’s more recycling, but at least there’s still a pulse. If it isn’t 4+ it’s about time we had another Batboat. Yeah, Miller has screwed that one. Snyderverse characters have been pretty badly cursed.
  8. We are at a rare accord I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm going with derpy. Not a fan at all. The build looks stunning, but you need the figures to finish it off.
  9. There have been a few variants in Juniors sets, like Mk7 Iron Man, Loki, Lex Luthor, and Mr Freeze. New characters-wise, we had Jason Todd. Granted he was still a Robin, but you can't win everything
  10. The disappointment stems less from the price of the set and more from the featured character. I feel it would be appreciated at this stage if Lego made a statement to the effect that they have contracted the theme back to just Batman. It might be sad news, but it’s clearly an elephant in the room and it would ease peoples expectations. There’s been subtle rebranding but nothing official. At the moment the ever part of evergreen is being stretched quite far.
  11. Well, that inaccuracy right there. The one that you especially determined to be absolutely implausible, and replied to just about everyone that if all the sets were listed under Marvel then they were going to be Marvel. Even Promobricks makes mistakes because they too are human, and that’s ok.
  12. Further proof that the Promobricks list was inaccurate. So we know that 76221 is a Flash movie tie-in Batmobile and 76220 is a Batcycle that has approximately 0 features that will appeal to existing fans. Is this a trajectory, or are they lulling us into a false sense of security only to blow us out of the water with sets the fans have actually been asking for?
  13. If only Dwayne Johnson was as passionate about Lego as he is about bringing Black Adam to our screens.
  14. Because a lot of people took Promobricks’ listings as absolute gospel, so anyone who suggested anything marginally different was categorically wrong and shut down in the usual fashion. Standard EB fare. I own 76159, guess I blotted it out. I jest, I like the Robincycle and the figures.
  15. At 456 pieces this is bigger than all of the other Batmobiles except the TLBM ones. I’d say if it’s a modded ‘89 car then there’s something else in the set.
  16. 1989 I wonder. Makes the GWP aftermarket pricing redundant
  17. Could still be offset printing, it might be whoever constructed the set ready for the photos didn’t look to see if there was an upside or didn’t know which would look better.
  18. It looks like the sticker for the eyes is upside down or not printed centrally, as they look right apart from the orientation. For a throwback to the original figure this is outstanding.
  19. It is really odd, mainly because he’s not a top tier character that has a high chance of appearing, or even an older one off. He’s not been prominent in the games or the DTV films, so I struggle to see how they managed to accidentally namedrop him. Hopefully it is as you say an inadvertent leak.
  20. So the encyclopaedia arrived today with Val-Zod not in a bubble like previous editions, but instead hiding behind an advent calendar window. The most notable thing is that there isn’t a single mention of Klarion, let alone a potential tease for the future.
  21. That’s what I meant about a hot desk, because some sets as you say have been brilliant, but other sets have been disappointing. It’s not the work of a consistent team.
  22. I get the impression that HP has a fantastic team of dedicated, top-tier designers who are well versed on the subject, while DC has a hot desk open to anyone who works at Lego. “We need a DC set, any takers?” ”I know it’s only my second day but I’ll give it a shot. What’s DC again?” ”Batman” ”Right. Any tips or source material?” ”Black, big wheels, and stud shooters are all you need. If you’re doing something big it needs a jail cell” ”On it”
  23. I remember those quite vividly with the first Technic set I had, 8054 in 1989. I also remember the various techniques employed to get those pins out, and can happily concur that they were brutal.
