    Is this what you used: Benzalkonium chloride also known as alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride? Its listed as very soluble in water, but somewhat slow. I think I would disassemble the whole thing then rinse and soak all the pieces in water overnight.

    What a fun, cool build and concept. A spaceship hospital! Really great work on such a large minifigure-scale spaceship. Love the ambulance shuttle and construction of the main engines. Fantastic MOC!

    If you use whatever method you prefer consistently.... If you prefer weight then use that. The point of bringing it up here was because of members posting that they think that the sets labeled as 18+ seem expensive (not to debate which method of cost/value is the best, if you're going to debate that then bring up the weights of these sets and lets compare the two methods directly instead of just saying your preferred method is inherently better than the other without doing an actual comparison). The point of bring it up was per posts like this: That was the whole point of bringing it up PPP! The heck? You say it's irrelevant to bring up PPP here and then in the same paragraph state that you think the prices are high across this "theme". That was the entire point of bringing PPP comparisons into this. I demonstrated that the 18+ theme is a bit on the higher side of a price metric and you respond to that with "don't bring this into this discussion its not relevant" while saying the same exact thing that what I said, proved? The heck is going on here.

    Unbelievable creation in sheer scale, complexity and splendor. All those angles and the flying buttresses make this classic church amazing. Legendary work there Alois!

    The best way to judge the price is by per piece. Of the 18+ sets (using Brickset 18+ tag as the Lego.com site doesn't list 18+ by theme or age) they are a bit on the high side with the Mosaics being the only ones with a really fantastic PPP ratio that is below the average/good price (~$0.06 per piece is a good to fair price). 20 sets listed as 18+, total of 164.1/20= $0.082 cents per piece average. Considering most of them are licensed content that's actually not that bad, but some of them by themselves have a steep PPP ratio. The Mosaics $0.037 per piece really shifts the average.

    Yeah and you only need to do it once. Locate a less common/rarer piece that you have in your collection, confirm color, now you know. In the Bricks and Pieces thread, even among those who are familiar with all the colors, we're still regularly asking what colors certain pieces are in member's order pics because of the discrepancy in photo color balance.

    I've been saying it for years that Bricklink should have gotten onboard with the official color names. There are those who are sticklers for terminology and say "you cannot say 'Legos'" because Lego is derived from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well" and thus cannot pluralized despite the fact that its natural to do so in a language like English for example; but then they don't adhere to the official Lego names for the colors. So don't you dare say Legos while I use some made up unofficial terms! You get what I was saying though right, pick out one of the less common pieces in your collection that's in a color that you're unsure about. Then you can more easily correctly identify the color by finding that piece through one of these parts resources. That eliminates the factor of lighting/color calibration and guessing because we know exactly what parts have been molded in what colors. For example you're unsure about Medium Blue. So click on that color in the Brickset guide and then locate a piece that you have in your possession that is in as few sets as possible (it lists the number of sets each piece is in). For example if you own this piece then you have a color to compare to, can confirm which set you got it in and can now more easily distinguish from Medium Azur (the closest neighboring color its molded in) with the lighting you have in your place. Its molded in only a few colors so you know for sure that its one or the other. No monitor/photograph/residence lighting comparison issues.

    Just a slightly funny mistake. Its a great list you've made of all the contents of all the modulars. Easy to forget the additional parts of the builds when just describing the official set names.

    Must have super wide brick separator, cannot forget. Also we need a 1x brick separator. Make it half length as well for tight spaces.

    One thing I've found useful is to go to Brickset's Color Chart and click on a color in question where it'll bring up all the parts molded in that color. You can click on each color here and it'll take you to the parts list where picking out a less common/rare piece to use as comparison is helpful. Then you know "X" piece in your collection is Medium Blue and can compare it to your other pieces under the lighting in your place. These bunch of pieces pictures are helpful as well. For example Dark Azur: Earth Green: Also keep in mind that in the list you've made some of those color names are the unofficial color names which are used mostly used on Bricklink so different websites and builders using different names for the same colors can sometimes cause further confusion. For example: "Dark blue" is officially called Earth Blue by TLG "Dark bluish grey" is Dark Stone Grey "Tan" is Brick Yellow

    Yes definitely recommend sorting by part type first. For example split up all the plate 1x1s, 1x2s, 1x3s etc with all the colors mixed together. Its easy enough to pick out the color you want from a bin of all the same part type. While sorting by color first just makes it a pain to pick out the parts among a sea of the same color. Ooo 1x3, nope 1x4, ooo 1x2, nope 1x3, visual headache.

    The roof is amazing but so are the upside down window facades/fences and arch bricks with inset tiles. Very clean and classy SNOT-work throughout and your clever use of the thin tile lines for the sand yellow corners. Fantastic creation and use of parts and techniques for a sophisticated build.

    4070 The Headlight Brick! PS you ever step on a Lego when drunk, its not nearly as bad as they say.

    That is one amazing alternate build, its more MOC than mod. That sloped roof is beautiful and your facade details and window siding is wonderful. A most excellent creation you've made.
