LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
zoth33 replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They don't even know if this theme will sell well. The theme came out over a decade before so Lego knew it was an established well selling theme. We have no idea how well this will do and Lego has never introduced a new theme and made a CMF based off it immediately without any sales data. It just doesn't make any sense to do that theme without and data on sales or popularity. -

The theme just popped up and is not an established IP like HP, STar wars, and Marvel/DC. We don't even know how long Animal Crossing will last. -

No way the are doing animal crossing. I would say Mario before animal crossing. Fortnite is a possibility. -

Also now getting a red panda and the old Tiger is coming back to the city sets. Some great new animals to populate our builds. There should be some more animals in the jungle sets but no more info yet. -

Considering the HP set comes out in the summer it would probably be the other way around or maybe it will be a completely different color as the Beauxbatons ones are white and the horse for MTS might be brown, tan or grey. -
Red panda is great can't wait to see it. The Red panda is one of my sons favorite animals. Great to get the tiger too as I missed out the last time.

I think he's just saying making the horse or lion in that color that could be also used as a statue. Which would be easy as a there are grey horses. -
The total sets from last year I think Star wars and HP combined to make up 10% of 2023 total sets. That doesn't seem to be their target audience and I don't know why so many people say this kind of stuff without no proof. At any rate Lego has made a lot more sets for AFOLS over the last several years. I don't think you know how licensing works. Eventually someone will see what they are doing and bury them in legal battles.

All that I've heard so far is an Adult gorilla in a large set it didn't say if the baby was in the same set. We've already had the Lion and Elephant

GoH 11: Tranquil tasting [Dandelume, Avalonia]
zoth33 replied to T-86(swebrickLUG)'s topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice build. I really like the rockwork, it looks wonderful especially the part on the right side with the water on the rocks. The texturing of the wall is nicely done. The figs also look great. I wouldn't have to look at the title to know this was an Avalonian build great work.- 13 replies

Looks like we are getting Gorilla's in the city sets. Can't wait to see what other animals or birds we get. Ninjago wave for summer has another large dragon set. -

[MOC] Merchants of Baghdad, Abbasid Caliphate 819 AD
zoth33 replied to A_Goodman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
great work! I like the wall texture and the little area's that have been weathered. The little area with the water and plants looks great and is a nice touch. The figs and cart look very nice here. -
The LKC is such a great set and fun build. If you do get it you will love it. I really like making custom figs and creating MOC's for the figs that I create and now I'm trying to get my hands on some Basil the batlord from the CMF but so far no luck, probably going to have to get a scale or a small endoscope. I agree that there are many sets that I want but can't buy like some of the bigger marvel and Star wars sets but I just don't have the space or budget if I want to buy the MTS and Rivendell this year and Barad Dur also later this year.

All I do is fantasy/castle sets now. I'm building a fantasy world out of lego. So naturally I collect anything castle and I pick up sets from HP, Ninjago, Monkie kid, Star wars, Jurassic park, Marvel/DC, etc. that I like the minifigs for customizing. Also some of the sets are nice for castle/fantasy builds. I usually pick up parts from PAB and bricklink. I also only have a limited amount of space and obviously money. That's why I decided a long time ago to stop collecting Star wars. I'm still in the process of organizing all my bricks and minifigs. I have several of the LOTR/Hobbit sets still intact. I'm planning to get Rivendell this year. I only buy sets that I want for the minifigs or bricklink the figs now. I buy a lot of dragons from the Ninjago line for my fantasy world and the figs are very useful. My real issue is parts organization right now I still have a lot to sort through. I did recently buy the Viking Village but have not built it yet. I just bought more storage for my parts so hopefully I can get everything sorted by the end of the month. That should free up some space for me. I am planning on build a large display so I need to sort everything so open up space on my tables to build. I also found that the new Dreamzzz line has some great figs and new pieces. I am also planning on buying the Market coming in March. I have the LKC and the blacksmith, the 3in1 castle and can't wait for the Market. I'm trying to optimize my space with shelving and storage bins that are stackable. So basically I just buy the sets, figs, or parts that will help build my world at this point. Although there is one space city set that has a very interesting looking spaceship that I may buy and leave in the box.

Lego Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square Discussion Thread
zoth33 replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
All I'm saying is I wouldn't worry about it. If people get upset at the set then who cares there will always be people who like the set, love the set and dislike the set for various reasons. At this point the set is finalized so what we get is what we get and I'm sure people will be fine with what we get. The viking village looks great for the size and this set is larger. -
Yeah the LOTR/Hobbit sets had some great designs and figs and animals. I have 2 eagles, 2 each of the 3 wargs. I don't have smaug but I did get my youngest son Smaug for christmas a few years ago he is a fantastic looking dragon. I'm waiting on getting Rivendell. I can't wait to see pics of Barad Dur I know the figs will be great.

How are you comparing a GWP to an actual $230 set. That doesn't make any sense. Yeah they gave us one dud out the several Castle themed sets they have given us for the past few years, that doesn't mean that we should just expect crap sets from here on out. With that logic I'm assuming you think Barad Dur will be crap too? The MTS will be a fine set. I think you're reading way to much into the Majisto GWP outcome. -
yeah I understand that I voted for Viking Village Lego ran the vote still don't see anything that says Target had any say in the process.
-
Yeah I really don't think target had anything to do with the vote. Lego set up the vote and chose what to put out Target just happened to be the store here in the US that it was exclusive to there have been exclusive sets to walmart also in the US. In other countries that wasn't the case so I doubt Target had any say in what set was produced.

The build does look great. The figs also look fantastic. That is going to be one of my next purchases. -
I like the design of this and it's nice to see Roman builds. Great looking minifigs too. I supported on ideas.

Yeah I don't understand how this isn't on PAB considering how well the black falcon regular torso sells. This would be nice to see again in the minifigure bins also. -
