Yes for the next three years. I actually hope they put it back in theaters in at the end of the year for the anniversaries but not holding my breathe on that. Maybe a nice Edoras set for next years Two Towers anniversary and then the year after something with Gondor for The return of the King would be great.

Yeah 25 years would be next year for the Fellowship of the Ring. It would be great to see something like a Bree set or more of Hobbiton.

Your still not getting it that's ok whatever. Once again you can make the shield for whoever you want it to be you don't have to follow what they said that's the beauty of lego you can choose to make that shield for whomever you want. Just like you can buy parts and make a King figure. You don't have to follow lego's storyline you can make your own.

You are missing the fundamental point of lego and that is that you can create what you want. Example if you don't want the Queen make a King and make the barding his and the shield his it's really not that hard. That was the fun of lego when I was younger we didn't get any of that back in the 80's and 90's There where no orcs, demons, goblins etc. You had to make your own. It's called using your imagination and it seems like today we have forgotten all that and just want what we want. Life is full of things that we want and don't want. And even sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do but have to. If you don't want to buy it because it doesn't have a shield don't buy it and wait till something catches your eye or you could buy the set and make mods to it yourself and have fun with it. Personally I used to build the sets when I was younger then I would change them around and build something different and change the figs around and have fun with it because that's the point to have fun building with lego.

Strahd has a red eyed rat, that's great. The Mindflayer with molded head and molded intellect devourer is exciting. Can't wait to see the Aarakocra head also. I'm buying as many as possible. The dragonborn Paladin sound great with that new armor piece. Plus my youngest son is also very excited for these.

There is an updated details on the DnD cmf on reddit. So many new molds, prints, and some animals in there too. This will be my favorite CMF of all time. September can't come quick enough.

What makes me laugh is that years ago when we had no sets people were saying that any castle set lego makes they will buy because they just wanted some castle stuff. Now that we started getting castle stuff people have issues with every set. I mean people were literally saying the LKC was to grey, it's not like you can't add a few different colored bricks if you wanted. Obviously everyone has different tastes and it's hard to please everyone that's why I don't care that much if the set isn't good and I don't like it I won't get it. And it's fine to have opinions that's what's great about america you have the right to free speech. But I find it counter productive to say the same criticism over and over like 10 times because it accomplishes nothing. I mean yes we can all see that the set could use more animals but repeating it thousands of times does nothing and changes nothing. We have no idea what restrictions the designer had on the set. Personally I'm just going to add my own details to the set and add some more animals and be done with it. yeah I think it's great to criticize things that's how we learn but repeating things over and over and over doesn't progress anything. I think giving ideas on how to improve the set helps but at this point we aren't getting any more animals or shields so either you have to add your own or just not buy the set at this point. Hopefully lego will see the feedback and improve.

They must have been some of the parts without pictures. I do have the jay and kai one from the sets but it would be nice to have spares I'll have to look it up thanks.

Yeah the team up with Lego and Hasbro seems to be off to a great start with Optimus prime and now DnD.

Yeah but 50th is usually a big celebration thing. I would love a LOTR cmf. Obviously this was thought of for DnD a while ago but if the license for LOTR/Hobbit allows it I hope they do it. The DnD cmf sounds fantastic and I think LOTR would be great also

It's the 50th anniversary of DnD that's why we are getting the CMF and the set.

I don't have an issue with peoples opinions at all. I'm just saying some people here, on reddit, IG say the same thing over and over in the same thread and instead of using actual criticisms they say I wanted this or I wanted that it just sounds very childish. I also wish there was more figs and animals in the Town Square but I'm not so bent or mad that all I say is I want, I want, I want. We can have civil discourse and not sound so self indulgent. We all have different tastes, ideas, feelings, etc It's just the way some people do it that gets taxing to listen to or read. At this point this is the set we are getting if you don't like it don't buy it or mod it if you want. Also there are a lot of people that like the set. Constantly complaining about something isn't going to make it magically appear in this set. Lego may take note for future reference but the same arguement several times isn't going to change anything.

I really don't think that means that production costs are low. Isn't it also very greedy to say I want, I want, I want? I get what you're saying but sometimes it sounds like entitlement and not criticism. Especially with the way some people say things like I wanted at least 2 cows or I wanted a better print sounds like spoiled children not an adult conversation.

Oh yeah. I used to use plain black heads for my villains back in the 80's because we just had humans back then. Things now are amazing and all the different colors and different bricks is just crazy now.

These figs are going to be so useful for customs. I wonder what colors the Aarakocra ranger will be, might be good to go with the Black Falcons might be new mold for head or old chima mold. The Dragonborn Paladin should have some nice printing. Githyanki might use the orc hairpiece from LOTR/Hobbit. The tiefling will probably use the existing mold from the Monkie kid demons, although it says it may be new. I wonder if the Half-elf will have short or long hair. The mindflayer head should be a new mold. The hood with the anter hood piece will be great to have from the druid. Lady of pain should have a new headress piece. And might see some new molds for armor and weapons.

But they got the license and then put out the contest. So they obviously wanted the license and to do something with it. The contest for the set showed a lot of interest and they apparently already had an idea of making more because we have the CMF now. Who knows there may be more stuff coming.

Yeah but we've known the set is coming for a while now. This is just icing on the cake. My kids liked the movie they said it wasn't great but they enjoyed it. I mean people have been waiting for this for years. The CMF is going to fly off the shelves.

Way better than Animal crossing man. I will take it. We are getting 5 fortnite sets though. Plus no skin tones on the torso's is excellent and very useful. They obviously want to use this license and looks like they are putting it to good use.

Why not. And all the better for us. I'm getting all of these. This year is insane so far. Can't wait to get extras and customize figs the possibilities will be great. I'm thinking they will do more if they didn't do Drizzt. But that's me just hoping really.

I can't see them being art sets at all. I highly doubt they are display sets either. Since there are 2 parts and we are getting 4 sets this year I'm pretty sure these will be play-sets. And probably more sets next year for the second part.
