    Good idea's. Now we will have to wait and see if they expand on the winning heraldry with actual sets. Here's to hoping we get something in the upcoming years.

    Not sure of the budget for the set and see as it may have some specialized pieces already it may not include a modified helm. But we will have to see when the set releases and hopefully the fig parts show up on PAB.

    Yes is does look like that would be a faction they would have included in the Kingdoms era of sets.

    I just prefer something new. I like the Kraken design better than the griffin and already having the bull and crow as figs so far for me it came down to the kraken and griffin. I would have been fine with any reality based heraldry as long as it is something new we haven't seen.

    I understand that but are we seriously going to say that this has to be based on reality? I mean lego has actual dragons in sets and other fantasy creatures in their castle sets. Some of the heraldry isn't real life based either.

    This isn't real life it's lego. Dragons aren't real yet we have several different factions of them in lego form. This really isn't that big of an issue. There are plenty of fantasy settings like GOT, Baldur's gate, etc that have factions like a Griffin or Kraken. That being said Griffon would be my second choice and the crow the 3rd.

    I voted for the Kraken. I agree with @sporadic that it would be nice to have a seafaring faction with some new sets at some point. It will be interesting to see if Lego expands on the faction that does win and actually makes a set for them.

    I hope we do get more sets but we haven't heard anymore credible leaks about anything coming up. There was some small rumors of sets coming this winter with War of the Rohirrim but we haven't seen anything that would tell us that that is true. I hope that Lego makes some smaller sets. All that being said Rings of Power trailer did have some good visuals but I have no faith after season 1 with the bad writing and a lot of the characters were not good. HOTD trailer looked great though.

    Your right I have no idea what you are talking about. It seems Lego has the rights to Jacksons LOTR trilogy. I was saying I don't think they have rights to any upcoming LOTR movies yet as they are just announced. Also it all depends on the Tolkien estate and Warner bros on wether they let lego do merchandising for what they have right to. Lego can't just do whatever they want.

    It all depends on the licensing agreement and what was agreed upon with Warner bros and the Tolkien estate. We have no idea what it says but it would have to have been agreed upon to do sets from upcoming movies and since the gollum movies were just announced I'm not sure Lego has any rights to do sets off of those movies.

    I don't think you know how licensing works. Just because they are releasing LOTR set doesn't mean Lego has the rights to any upcoming movies or video games to make sets off of.

    I know they can't do it right now. I was saying hopefully in the future we can get new stories from Tolkiens world instead of telling us things we have already seen and know about Gollum.

    Ok I've seen people say 2 Gollum movies. I'm hoping they can give us new stories and just don't rehash the same storylines from the Hobbit and LOTR. Otherwise this could get really repetitive. I'm just hoping on day the Tolkien estate does let out more material so we can see more of Tolkiens world.

    It was said they are working on 2 gollum films. I think if that's true it would be a mistake as we need stories like Beren and Luthien. Stories about Morgoth or anything from the first age would be great.

    I agree I think that that was in reference to the Barad Dur set and nothing more. I think people are desperate for sets so they are taking things like that to mean something else. That being said can't wait to see the reveal tomorrow.

    That would depend on the sets that would be made in my opinion. I think that a lot of LOTR fans would like to collect some new sets and maybe update some of the older sets that came out a decade ago. If the sets that are made are good quality and have good figs I think that people would definitely buy them up.

    I really don't understand why we are getting 2 gollum movies coming. I don't think this is a good idea for LOTR. That being said I hope we get sets for the War of the Rohirrim and the Hunt for Gollum. But we don't know what lego has the rights to and if they even can make sets from those movies.

    Are you talking about War of the Rohirrim or the newly announced the Hunt for Gollum movie? The fellbeast is in the GWP

    Yeah from what we've seen it's coming in September. We haven't gotten any other rumors of anything else so far.

    The GWP sounds good. Figs will probably be a ringwraith and 2 orcs. Looks like I may have to buy day one at the store.

    Started reading a Dark Souls comic called the Willow King it's pretty good so far only 3 issues are out the 4th comes out this month.

    The Leshy looks great. I really like the antlers. The head looks fantastic with the leaf pieces and tiles. The chest looks menacing with those tooth pieces. The overall design of the Leshy is one of the best i've seen so far. I like the base also and the landscaping is also done well.

    I think it's only a matter of time. Hopefully a proper wolf mold also would be nice to have someday.
