Nice little scene. I like the roof and the tree with the vultures is great. Nice job

There is no castle theme out now so obviously no they wouldn't be designing them. The designers probably design things all the time that get shot down or have to tweak them to fit into a certain theme. Its ok to take a break sometimes. Everyone was really disappointed by the last castle wave and now that we don't have one everyone complains that there is no castle. I think that in time Lego will have a new castle theme and they are probably already designing and creating things for it now. I think everything will be fine just give it some time.

The Bear is great. The wall is fantastic, I love the texturing of it. I especially like the door on the wall. The small building is creative and the cobblestone floor is neat. I like the story as well.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
zoth33 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think you have to take into account that back in the 80's and 90's castle minifigs had limited printing and no armor printing where as today everything is very detailed with printing the armor on knights is printed like the cmf good knight and the frightening knight. Several of the kingdoms knights had printed armor and torsos. And the heads have more details with the eyes and facial expressions and facial hair. Some figs even have dual sided heads so figs are more expensive to make. I personally think the minifigs today are excellent compared to the ones from the 80's and 90's.I But yes I do agree with you that Lego knows what they are doing as far as minifig distribution. They know people like to collect them and therefore make the exclusive ones in expensive sets so people spend more. When it comes to kids my kids love playing with their figs and changing them around and mixing up the parts so I don't think lego expects kids to not just collect them. My kids haven't had issues with quality but I have had an issue with one of the cmf where the face just came off when I touched it. I do have more issues with arms cracking. Those have been my only issues so far. But that's my 2 cents.- 1,421 replies

Legoman123 Lego will never do ww1 and ww2. They have already stated that several times but there are customs lego shops like brick warriors and others that sell ww1 and ww2 style figs and accessories. Lego also does study groups with kids to find out what they like so its not like they just wing it with themes and guess what people want. Don't worry castle will be back soon. Nexoknights is only set to run three years so after next year we will see some new castle sets or maybe even sooner. Lego ran a regular castle theme while the hobbit sets were out. Just have faith.
-
We just had several waves of the hobbit and lord of the rings and they threw us some regular castle sets in with those waves. And before that se had a steady flow of castle sets with kingdoms and fantasy era. Pirates is a little more sparatic and Western hasn't been done for a while. Castle was going strong for a while so I don't get your statement unless your not counting lord of the rings and the hobbit.

Lego doesn't do anything with real wars or modern warfare.

Great build. I love the base and the tree itself is very creative. The story is great along with the figures. Overall fantastic job.

Nice little scene. I like the slope of the land and the trees. The minifig is nice, what torso did you use?
-
You just proved my point with your last statement. All I build is castle or fantasy moc's and I have been getting castle sets since I was a kid that is the theme I love the most. I understand it sucks not having a true castle theme out now but there has to be some sets you like that have good figs or parts for mocing. I think we got spoiled with all the lord of the rings, hobbit, and castle sets recently. I always find useful parts and figs in the ninjago line and star wars has some good sets too. I also find a lot of the Marvel and DC sets useful. Usually people who are into castle/fantasy are into science fiction also. All I'm trying to say is there has to some sets that you think are good. I'm not beating anyone up about it. I just find the villains from nexo knights very useful and a lot of the pieces I can use to build other projects with.

This is crazy. Just like the Walking Dead thing that Quicksilver mentioned above people are getting out of hand with all this complaining and whining about things that aren't worth it. There are so many other problems this world needs to fix first. I think people are just to sensitive now a days and cant take things or opinions for what they are. Just like Vaderfan2187's comment above about right-wing people I mean its legodalekbusters opinion not everyone has to agree with everyone. Why cant we just all get along.

I don't think this theme is bad. I love fantasy/castle, Vikings, pirates, and star wars. It's not my favorite theme either but I do think it is creative and fun. The minifigs are excellent and I find the sets fun. The colors are fine and the quality is good. My youngest son loves the theme and the show. I think lego created something new and fun that the kids like. My two sons also love Ninjago and still like the show and the sets. It will be interesting to see where this theme goes but they have definitely done a great job with the villains. I know a lot of people are upset that there is no real castle theme but like others have said pirates, space, or western themes get done with long breaks between releases. I don't like some sets out there either but I buy the ones I do like or ones I can use parts for MOC's. I think people just need to find the whatever they like and go with that and not complain about sets you don't like. Find some sets that you do like that you can use and be happy. The negativity on these forums gets out of control some times. Why cant we all be happy this is supposed to be a site to bring people together that all have the love of lego in common not why we hate things. Instead we should be enjoying the hobby we all love.
