Sad to see you go. Hope you keep building though. That has always been the fun part for me building new structures, figs, landscapes, etc. I'm a total castle guy but i find a lot of useful parts and figs in other lines like Ninjago, Marvel, DC, Elves, Nexo Knights, and Star Wars. I love creating new figs out of all the different figs out there. I too hope they come out with castle soon. But i love building my own stuff especially with my kids. I hope you find something that keeps you building. Good luck on all your en-devours. Hope to see you back here soon.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
zoth33 replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah I'm really loving all those new molds for Ninjagos new wave. The dragon hilt is so cool cant wait to get my hands on it. Even some of the villains armor and the other new swords from Ninjago will be very usefull. The dragon bone sword itself is very nice too. I'm hoping they do a wolf hilt too(great for game of thrones MOC's) and other ideas for it. That shield is fantastic also. I love customizing minifigs so all these parts are great. I hope lego keeps making new weapons and armor for a new castle theme when we get one. I think if they did what they have done so far with Ninjago and the Elves themes and apply some of the same thinking to a new castle theme it would be great and appeal to many people. A new castle theme with new plant molds, animal molds, new armor, new weapons, new factions both villains and good guys, even the same old dragon mold would be fine just in different colors than red and black, new colors for castle pieces and new building techniques could go a long way to giving castle the shot in the arm it needs to be more fresh and appeal to more people. Now is lego willing to go that far with it I don't know but I would love to see it. -
Nice little scene. I like the texturing of the walls and the figs are nicely done. The green plants in winter are a neat touch gives it a little more color.

Yeah I'm just saying overall a pretty good wave. And I think the outriders head could have been better also.

I would really like to know if all you people that are complaining of the prices of lego also find the prices to get into sporting events like baseball, football, basketball, etc crazy. Or find the price of food nowadays out of hand. And the fact that big oil companies basically have you know what to everyone for generations but we still do nothing about it. But back on point I think all these sets look great. Loving the dragons and new molds especially the weapons. Can't wait till these come out so many useful parts for my MOC's.

Get ya but I grew up with limited lego colors and very few variations on lego minifig heads and i made it work as a kid and on into my teen years. The amount of new molds and new colors and fig heads they make now is insane so I'm ok with what we get I mean the possibilities are endless and they keep getting better compared to when I was younger I made things work with limited parts, colors, and figs. I think we get a little to spoiled sometimes and expect to much. If lego was this advanced when I was a kid i would have shat myself. Being a kid now and into lego would be awesome. But maybe that's just me.

Wasn't that a flaming pumpkin head. I'm just saying I come here to get info and pics about the hobby i love the most not read people whine about what we are not getting. I just think it gets a little taxing reading through things sometimes. I get that people want accurate versions but we get what we get you can't please everyone. I don't have any idea why lego does what they do we can speculate all day. I grew up with lego in the early 80's and the brand has come a long way. I'm just excited to get all this marvel and DC stuff in lego form. I would never have thought we would have all that we have so far. The fact that we got hobbit and LOTR sets was awesome. I'm just happy getting Jurassic park and world sets and all the star wars sets just bring back memories from my childhood. Yeah of course I could sit here and nitpick sets for days about flaws but i don't have that kind of time and would rather build things but maybe that's just me.

I know everyone is complaining about the wasp figure but lego probably has a budget on the set and a $20 set which is the only set isn't going to get a new mold. So moving on I'm glad to see another antman set. I cant wait to see ghost.

Black Falcon's Fortress Re-Imagined
zoth33 replied to Mark of Falworth's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great job. Love the texturing of the towers and the base has some great landscaping to it. Nice work. -
Great job. The hull and sail are fantastic. The elemental is pretty cool

Love this. The woodwork is awesome especially with the use of the gold. The columns are great. The borders around the windows are great. I really like how you used different pieces around the windows like the flower pieces and the wheel wells and slopes. The roof is also very creative using the nexo shields.

This is so cool. I love the tower/fortress. All of the animal pens are nice. The birdcage is neat. The tent is nicely done. The hut has nice texturing. The landscaping is good, I like the brown water feature. Overall looking good nice job. -
It will be interesting to see what amazon does and where they go with LOTR. Hopefully they can expand on the movies with creative writing and production. We won't see an affect on lego castle sets for awhile considering that the show won't be out for at least 2-3 years. Still could be promising we will have to wait and see.

Nice work. I like the tilt in the tower and the texturing of the tower itself. The base is well done and i really like the way you did the trunk on the tree. And is that a wheel barrel with flowers in it?

FalconFan is a reliable source. I would do some research before you make assumptions. That aside all of those licenses would be fun to see especially godzilla.

I hope you are joking the battle of atlantis set is like $16. It is a nice army builder. And I too will be picking up at least 3 of the thestral sets.

For all the people thinking the great hall in the D2C is going to be better than the $100 one. I think that your setting yourselves up for disappointment. There is no way they are doing a more detailed great hall in the D2C. It might be in the set but not as detailed as the one we've already seen. Its just what I'm thinking. I can't wait to see the rest of the sets though.
