Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Love that green and brown colour scheme on the Giga, that looks great! My only fault with that toy is that the head looks a bit too stubby -

For people feeling bags - what’s the easiest way to find spider-man? Is it easier to find the two heads or the string piece? also is there anywhere that has determined which bags have extra plastic bags inside? I thought it was just for capes but a lot of these seem extra thick from the outside -

I will always pick Hogwarts robes over civilian clothes but at least these particular outfits only came in sets that were £50+ ( Whomping Willow and Privet Drive) -

I just realised there’s loads of other printed tiles that could look good next to the cards too - as I’m not planning to get a complete chocolate frog collection I might also put up the Daily Prophet, Quibbler and DA list - I’ve never been really had a place for them so they always seem to be lying around -

I love love love the dorm! This promo is better than all the others for me just because it fits with the existing sets so well - it's still a useful parts pack for castle pieces and I like the builds for the beds. Also with how square the rooms can be when they are lined up it will be very easy to expand this into a full Common Room! It does look like there's an exterior wall behind the plate for the cards too and even if there isn't I've got enough of those 4x6 castle panels from the old Mos Eisley set that I can cover up any gaps and fit it right into the Chamber of Secrets tower - I think between Lockhart's classroom and the Girl's Bathroom will work. I also find it really funny that Lego were stingy with chocolate frog tiles in smaller sets only to completely unload all their excess stock into this and the polybag - I'm not definitely not complaining tho -
LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Darth Shadowthrone replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That would be so exciting! A duel-style set with Rey, dark Rey and Kylo (with stab wound?) would be a set I’d actually go out and buy aren’t there still loads of TROS sets still on shelves? Surely that’s a more likely reason for the lack of new ST sets -

Thank you for sharing these! They all make sense and seem realistic to what we can expect in a first wave, a I wonder what the mix of locations and vehicles will look like in the sets, now they are not limited to just the island there should be hopefully be some cool playsets we can expect. I think the Out of the three dinosaurs you said about I think the What Lego dinosaurs are we expecting to return in the sets? I think Blue and Rexy of course, and Lego will probably throw in a pterodactyl somewhere as well! -
This is amazing! I occasionally look back on the original Vikings theme which was amazing apart from the weird robotic-looking monsters. I didn't mind the dragon in the castle set but I much prefer it when they have molded heads so I don't have very expectations for the sea serpent. That being sad I am really looking forward to seeing that Longship, it sounds amazing! I was tempted to get the Creator pirate ship it was so good a longboat that is equally well-designed will probably be on the top of my list for next year Also I missed out on the cmf Viking because of covid but I really hope that there are 1-2 of the new helmet mold in the set, that would be amazing

Someone’s probably already brought this up but I think it would be cool if the new Mysterio bowl piece was used for crystal balls instead of the old piece that had a four stud attachment on the bottom Personally I’m feeling satisfied just having the sets I already own from this theme so I don’t mind what they make next - I’m just waiting for Gringotrs -

The 4+ Stygomoloch set is the only one I might get out of this years wave (and it would have to be at a discount!). What did you not like about it? -

I remember seeing some Eternals concept art being shared around from last year where Richard Madden's Icarus had lighter hair and was clean shaven - it seems like that was what Lego was given to work off and they were too far into the design process to change it later. Thinking about it I do wonder if Bucky from the CMF would work for Richard Madden's natural look with his beard? -

No it definitely looks more detailed with not just more pink but also more individual printed strands of pink too - I love the extra effort there -

I'm so much more interested in these figures than I first thought I would be when I heard descriptions! (back then I was only interested in what sounded like more Fantasy-based figures like Wanda, Lady Loki and Gamora) Luckily the Loki series and how good Peggy and Sam's suits are mean that I'm going to get more than half of these, with my must-buys being: Sam Wilson Captain America Captain Britain Peggy Captain Armoured Gamora Star-Lord T'Challa Scarlet Witch Sylvie and the Croc Loki and that amazing Throg (which really looks like it would fit the comedic scene of Throg beating up Loki) I wouldn't mind eventually picking up Bucky Barnes and Monica Rambeau as well as they both have some great minifigure parts and I like both characters. But Spider-Man, Zombie Cap and White Vision do nothing for me, I'm not that interested in those characters or the minifigure parts they come with. -

Thanks! I’ve found the Promobricks article and there’s some great information there I’d forgotten about because it was written so long ago - we should be getting 7 minifigures and the two not in the picture are Captain Marvel and Nick Fury! https://www.promobricks.de/lego-marvel-2021-neuheiten-2-halbjahr/118941/ Hopefully there are official pictures soon -

Are there any more details about the Marvel Advent Calendar than what we can see in that old catalogue pic? There’s already some figures included which I want so I’m really looking forward to it -

I’d have loved a cheap way to get the plastic cape piece but I guess that would be very easy to feel in a bag because of its size Also there’ll probably be a Multiverse of Madness set I’ll be interested so I’ll suppose I will get the piece that way -

Apologies if this has been said before, but is it possible that the new plastic Cape of Levitation could also be used for the Steve Rogers Spider-Man in the CMF? I swear I saw somewhere that version of the character would have a cape and the CMF comes out before the Spider-Man sets so the new cape mold could have been budgeted as part of that -

Yeah I’m not getting my hopes up that the magic pieces and cloth elements will be included, they’d have probably been made in a different part of the factory to where the main minifigure parts are made -

Maybe it will be the down-sized to the size of the chameleon piece? So one stud wide and 2-3 studs long? -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Personally I had quite a big realisation recently that after the year there will probably be no more Hogwarts sets that I want to buy. My Hogwarts currently takes up half my desk without the 2021 sets so it will take up even more space and once I have the Chamber of Secrets I don’t think there’s any other parts of Hogwarts I really need. I’m far from a completionist but this Harry Potter resurgence brought me out from a Dark Age I had begun at university. The exact same thing happened with Star Wars for me - I realised that there were no more star fighters I really NEEDED to get. But I still enjoy seeing more Star Wars sets come out and I’m sure I’ll feel the same way when there’s years more of Harry Potter I’m happy to not get. And even with that being said I will definitely get the inevitable Gringotts set -

One thing I do like about the new minifigure accessory pack is that the minifigures can be used for other displays such as Castle or even some City parts, whereas the students one had only heads and hair pieces which were useful elsewhere. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but at the Lego shop in Southampton there's some pre-packaged build-a-minifigure packs with each containing a knight, witch and wizard! Even though they have yellow heads they were put in the Harry Potter section which I thought was a nice touch - I still needed the wizard hat but had the rest of the other minifigure pieces already -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Darth Shadowthrone replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Man I'm so doing one of these orders as soon as the elephants are back in stock! Getting extra pieces to expand the Basilisk is a great idea too! (Tho I'm sure those pieces have other uses too) Does anyone know if any dinosaur parts are ever available, or dragon wings? I assume the printed parts are never available but maybe some arms / legs are? -
Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ah thanks for letting me know! That will help me reign in my (pretty wild) expectations I kinda feel like the toy leaks that have already come out are a good way to guess which are going to be the most marketed dinosaurs too: the Pyroraptor, the new feather-less raptors, the Giganontosaurus and the (Synapsid) Dimetrodon. I feel like those 4 at least wouldn't be too tricky for Lego to make, though we might get a situation like with Baryonyx where a big Dominion species isn't made until the year after (if the line keeps on going ) -

Quetzalcoatlus?! Holy megablocks, that's one of my favourite prehistoric creatures - can you imagine if Lego made a pterosaur the size of a giraffe!! Out of everything we've heard so far I'd love to see in Lego form: a Giganontasaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Plesiosaur and Mososaur -
Minions 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
Darth Shadowthrone replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really like the minions accessory-pack, I didn’t like any of the sets but wanted a Lego minion or 2 just to play around with the new pieces. Love that it comes with two minifigures too! Also judging by the lack of pages on this discussion can we assume Lego minions is going to be one of the most AFOL-unpopular themes ever made? I’m sure kids will love them anyway
