Which is better - BIONICLE 2015 or HERO Factory?

I was looking for the topic and the search failed me so I wasn't sure if there was one or not. (Of course I didn't have my glasses on yet.) -
Which is better - BIONICLE 2015 or HERO Factory?

The new Bionicle sets will be shown at NYC Comic Con tomorrow. -
The lighthouse looks amazing, I wish there used a purple shade on it instead of the pink but it's awesome and has an ice cream stand next to it!

Anyone going to NYC Comic Con?
Bricknblue replied to Bricknblue's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I live in Massachusetts, I'm "only" 130 miles away, but it's not cheap to get to the city and a little heads up would have been nice. Its also the only day I'm scheduled to work this week. Huw said the tickets would be mailed, then took it back right away. Then it took LEGO over two weeks to get back to me and then I'm supposed to wait in a line between 8am and noon when the EARLIEST, without traffic, my bus would get to the city is 11am. That gives me no time to actually get to the show and get the tickets before noon. It's just seems like a huge hassle to me that I'm no longer going. Four plus hour bus ride there and four plus hour bus ride back to listen to LEGO preach some BS and brag about being number one. I think I'll pass and just look for some pictures online. -
I'm curious if any fellow Eurobrickers are going to NYCCC. I won a ticket from Brickset, but at the time was told it would be mailed. Then after never hearing anything LEGO last week decided that the winners need to pick the ticket up in a three hour window that I doubt I'll be able to make. So I'd now need to stay over a night just to get my ticket and that's not cheap. So I'm wondering if anyone here was going to motivate me into going still.

Toys R US USA will have the sets for sale today or tomorrow. They had to be on hold until the 1st, we had them just sitting in the back.

I love the crazy snake tribe people, so awesome. Great helmets, buying the small ones.

Yes, they check ID and make sure to only sell the sets to females. I can't wait until we get some newer pictures because these sets look so awesome, some of my favorites of 2015.

New LEGO Fantasy Theme -- A MOC Series
Bricknblue replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's not you, it's LEGO. Look at the Hobbit set that has a dragon mold, the thing is $130 and shouldn't be more than $80-$100. I am curious to how many pieces are in one of your fantastic dragons. -
The snow plow is great. Just remember that these aren't official sets, just an idea, they can change.

Once again the mini doll sets are amazing. Love the colors, the purple leaves are amazing.
-
I like how the colors are more uniform. Love trans blue.

The lighthouse is cool and so is the hot air balloon. These are VERY prim so they will improve, hopefully more colors.

New LEGO Fantasy Theme -- A MOC Series
Bricknblue replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think the prices are laughably off, but the designs. Beautiful. Some of the best brick built dragons I have seen. -
My store? I don't just go to one store, I go to several. I usually have to leave the area to get them, but the series with the deer seemed to be around for a month, yet the newest theme has been out for months and months and months. It seems like LEGO didn't ship enough to the USA or something. I think LEGO needs to slow down and release only two series of collectables a year, not three randomly. I buy less LEGO because of the whole collectable crap makes me not go out of my way to find them, I normally only buy LEGO in the winter because I'm busy in the summer / warm months.

I agree. I thought the boat would be $100, it's what $120-$130 I know the boat pieces cost a lot but the Coast Guard one is insane. Also $40 for 220 piece cargo plane thing is nuts. And the Friends animals have been annoying. It's not just the release dates are weird, it's also like we get a ton of one series and a lot less of another. I never found the cute little deer set, seemed to be released for only a few weeks, but the penguin and lion and turtle seem to have been out forever and recently got restocked at Targets near me. However at least the Friend theme has gotten cheaper. The $10 sets doubled in piece count and the animals went from an outrageous $5 to a correct $4. But CMS China figures will go up 25%. i don't get it.

I used to buy a random set in different themes for the pieces / colors / mini figures. But the last few years I have built the sets and go "This was $X.XX?!" and it's just not worth it anymore. Having looked at the Arctic base set pictures again the whole set is one brick too short, even the mini figure looks like he barely fits in the thing. That's really sad because the base looks neat. I think the problem is sets 15-20 years ago would be sold from 1-3 years and there would only be like 100 new ones a year. We now get like 500 new sets a year and the sets are around 6months to a year, tops. So why would LEGO take their time making the sets? They are rushed out before kids get bored. The only ones that haven't been a disappointment have been Friends and Movie sets.
-
I have been having this issue for years. I will see a set and go "no" then see it for 30-40% off and still not buy it because I feel it's not even worth that. It's happening a lot know across many themes.

Spoiler warning! Come on now! Looks amazing. Nice job.

New Theme Being Announced at New York Comic Con 2014
Bricknblue replied to Pheonix1604's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think it's either a special Jurassic Park set or a new action theme. I don't think it will be a Jurassic World set because most of the time the movie makers don't want "spoilers" to be released so they are normally released last. -

I knew they would be expensive with big dinosaur molds and a license but damnnnnn..... those are some expensive sets. I was hoping for a few $20 sets with some small dinosaurs.- 1,412 replies

I like the Friends Farm sets more than most of the City Farm sets. The little Friends farm stand and tractor is a really great set. I could see LEGO making a few vehicles like one holding pigs or something, but I don't see a full on Farm theme coming any time soon.
