  1. So several people here are abusing the LEGO replacement brick program? That's lovely. I know whom to blame when LEGO discontinues that service.
  2. The problem with that is we got Chima, NinjaGo, Super Agents and Elves this year, so why wouldn't there be a third (I don't count Elves) action theme for next Winter? I have a feeling the reason why we have two big waves of NinjaGo is because the second one will last into next year, that NinjaGo won't have a January release, just a sumer 2016 release, leading into the movie. Then there would need to be something new for January. This is the first year we have two complete different NinjaGo theme releases right?
  3. Without a doubt there will be new themes in January, and one will have to be an action theme to take Chima's place. I don't see LEGO launching two huge waves of NinjaGo this year and then two huge waves next year. Something big has to launch in January of next year. It might be a huge return to Castle, I'm hoping for a new Space theme, but something new will come back.
  4. I think it's somewhat of a flop because it was supposed to be the new huge theme and it never lived up to the theme it was supposed to place. However it did well enough to get like 100 sets. Some was good, a lot of it was very weak. Ninjago has dragons and buildings and little playlets and different things. Chima just had vehicles that looked like animals and that was it.
  5. We are in-between toy fairs, after this weekend it will be "Oh that looks nice, but DAMN that price!" topic.
  6. I like the cute ones from the Friends line. Just repaint them a little better and you have a System penguin.
  7. It's well known that LEGO use them for new parts. But LEGO should be worried. If the same amount of people who listen to music on a record player are the same as buy LEGO then LEGO would go broke in a week.
  8. LEGO will have that issue in about 10-20 years when 3D printing is so easy and cheap. They can't continue selling 250 piece City sets for like $40-$50USD (Nevermind Euro tax). I got all the latest Aqua Raider sets for half off (Besides the base) and they are all better than this wave. 7774 is one of the best looking subs LEGO has made. I was hoping for something like that, or the Agents sub. Heck set 7776 is the perfect example of what the new sets should be. Nice sub, a shipwreck, some divers.
  9. Road plates will never ever be made with sets again, the last sets with baseplates were police and fire stations and now even they are gone. But they can't make road plates and act like City is Town, they aren't the same. Town had some sense of size, City is just whatever size LEGO wants to make a truck. I love the snowplow, but it's MASSIVE and barely fit on a plate.
  10. I was hoping for more boats, we just get one massive boat, no smaller ones that the divers can just jump in like in the 90s. I also thought there would be a base, either underwater or on the coast. We just get some cool subs, but there should be so much more. Even Arctic got a boat, a base and a mobile base. City Space doesn't even have a tower for the shuttle. LEGO is really against any type of structure in City sets.
  11. It's a jet, privately owned by the pop star. My guess is same colors as the bus.
  12. Now that's a great idea! Would fit into the new mini figure theme and would end that stupid debate on Friends being sexist, zombies aren't "girly" at all. (Of course saying that is sexist. ) But City doesn't have a set 'storyline' with set characters like Friends does. I'm OK with City goes from Arctic to swamp to space and diving. But this pop star thing makes the line feel cheap, like very otter girly toy on the market. And I was close, I honestly am amazed I remembered it at all.
  13. I saw that too and I think it is, looks very nice. I love the hotel, but will never buy it being the cost. But it has a nice Indian feel with only a little purple which I would replace. However I'm disappointed that the Friends theme goes from the awesome "Let's save jungle animals" to returning to Lakeheart (That's the city right?) only to meet up with a rich pop star and get a bus and a limo and a hotel for the rich brat, I mean pop star, to hang out in?
  14. The NYC Toy Fair is invite only. So it wouldn't matter if you had money or not. Also I'm sure LEGO steals ideas, they are a company and that's what all companies do. It's why LEGO is so paranoid because they know their things will be stolen too. If an idea sells well for one toy, like Play Mobile, than other companies will take that idea. That's call basic business. Anyways the big City set is highly lacking. The only time we can get buildings is if it's in a $120 set?
  15. Yeah I was shocked the price was $5 for so long, but they really should only be $7, and not $8. The grey one is $15 and 2.25 of the smaller ones. I should have gone to TRU to see if they have anything left. Blue being discontinued the year Pirates comes back isn't shocking. Blue what gone for a long time then returned several years back. I would love if Lego would make a new color baseplates every few years.
  16. I don't understand why LEGO didn't just make a new head piece for the old animal. That's th only part that really needed a slight upgrade.
  17. I'm like "This looks neat" then I saw the car and was pulled in even more.
  18. In your country. In the USA they had been $3 for months and are now $2. Clearly not selling well here.
  19. I agree. With the seasonal sets this year being miniigure based I have a feeling that the pumpkin will be heading to the Halloween seasonal set.
  20. I love that set but the amount of stickers is gag worthy. There is no need to have four stickers for the part over the wheels, if there are four in the set it should be printed. Guess I should be happy they didn't use stupid huge heads. And the castle looks great, I love the greenhouse section on the left with the pumpkin.
  21. LEGO S@H has been a complete failure in the USA too ever since they changed over to a third party shipper. Almost three weeks to cancel an order?! That's insane. Make sure that your credit card isn't charged, they did that to me once. I placed an order in November 2013, it was pending on my credit card then I checked to see if it shipped, online and the woman on the phone said they had no record of it. I went "Then why the hell does my bank?!"
  22. I suggest some ivy / greenery pieces for the outside because it's too red, just a few pieces helps break it up. (It's what I do with fire stations that are very red.) Inside, just some computers and maybe a kitchen, you need a coffee machine, that's a LEGO must.
  23. Try today, the one that I was at looked like they just ripped the box open and stuck them on shelf because I bought two hotdog guys, and the box might have had 1-2 randoms taken. I was going to buy 5 different ones, but then it hit me $20 for five Chinese quality mini figures and I'll wait to see if TRU has a sale like they did last month which I missed because of a snowstorm. Yep, someone said they got them for $1.98 because of a clearance of the old ones and no one knew they were the same number. Huge YMWV on that. Don't forget it's only January, these are supposed to last until April. This is just the first shipment.
  24. They did that to me before. I think it was from some being found in a warehouse. I would call and ask, they probably would give you it.
  25. It can come back in tomorrow, they just don't have an official date.
