What’s the point of a construction toy if virtually every piece is specialised to this degree and the end result looks like any other model car? Sure, LEGO has specialised parts too, but not to this extent and it always still looks like LEGO. If this replaces Mega, I’m not sure they’ll be able to compete. For all their flaws, Mega products were still construction toys at heart.

Yesterday, they revealed a lot of August sets along with the ACs, and today it’s most of the June sets’ turn. The ACs tend to get revealed a lot earlier than other September releases tho

I saw it yesterday (just before the deluge of set pictures and after watching Andor, what a day ), and it’s easily a top contender for best post-Endgame MCU movie! There are only two things I disliked about it and I wish the spoiler tags still existed I wanna RANT!

Hey, even if we revert back to silly Spidey vehicles after this, I still see this wave as an absolute win In terms of comic-based Spidey sets, this is at least on par with the 2016 2HY wave to me (coincidentally, with some of the same characters even!). And the Spidey 2 set is an instant classic!

So many cool new pieces! The snowman and cardboard box are other highlights beside the snail and pear pieces As for the villagers, I’m glad they continue to introduce new ones, and new species to boot!

The AC is easily my favourite one yet (even without BABU FRIGGIN FRIK), but I also love the paradigm shift with new pieces introduced in ACs, and not just the SW one (see the Xmas tree suit in the City one) ACs having enough of a budget for that could have quite some potential for the future!

Creator is a theme I usually ignore, but the haunted house and unicorn sets are must-buys! Love the new ghost piece which is a cross between the previous two pieces and the other monsters are really cool too, plus the downscaled cousin to the Monster Fighters set! And the unicorn set is beyond adorable. GIMME

Also, another enchantment table! After being absent for so long we get two in the same year! A new pic of the Pickaxe Mine has surfaced too and the Spider Jockey is a Stray rather than a regular Skeleton, which is very welcome Fingers crossed for pics of the other June sets later today!

I have to say, between the Mario Kart D2C, the SMBW Bowser Castle, the Wario fig, the general variety of the 2HY wave, and possibly the Game Boy, 2025 is a strong contender for the best year the theme has had so far!

In German, there’s a saying: those declared dead live longer What an awesome comeback for the theme! Easily one of the stronger waves in quite some time, on many levels. If only DC got some love too!

Out of all the reveals, the Sonic wave is sadly the weakest The builds are decent, but the lack of new characters or even variants is very disappointing! Fingers crossed the 2026 sets will be more interesting.

Love the Christmas tree suit in the AC! Strange to see new pieces in ACs, but that’s a thing now

Kinda strange we’re getting arctic foxes before their orange counterparts, but I’ll take it! Next year maybe Not the first time we get a rare/unusual colour before a more familiar one
