  1. Personally, I’m really glad they went with 2 rather than 5 seasons. I can’t really imagine each arc of S2 being stretched into a full season, unless they added a ton of other missions and subplots. There are some things that felt a bit rushed or happened offscreen, but 5 seasons still would’ve been overkill in my opinion Maybe 3 at the most, but it worked very well in the end.
  2. Skipping set numbers is a very common occurrence across themes. Could be a cancelled set
  3. The force has to be strong in you for you to dodge what’s headed your way. *loading a bunch of trebuchets* You must be fun at parties.
  4. Turns out, that’s from a leaked 2026 set!
  5. Most characters do, honestly They work for certain characters, but whenever they’re suggested for Sauron, Snoke, or Vader even, that must look way better in peoples’ imagination than it actually does IRL.
  6. As @Kaijumeister points out, all three book nooks so far are based on literary properties, so a Marvel one would kinda feel out of place. Moreover, we don’t really need them because we already have the black-base dioramas! The designers could make Marvel book nooks work of course, but the book nook format can also be restrictive because of the necessary walls/frame and the folding feature. I’d rather they just continue with the regular dioramas!
  7. A new pauldron piece sounds great! I never minded the cloth ones, but this could be a pretty significant improvement! If the cloth kama rumours are true, it’s kinda hilarious we got Rex and Fives shortly before they could benefit from these developments
  8. Who knows, the MTT minifig list may be incomplete still! Not getting my hopes up though. Just because we were pleasantly surprised before doesn’t mean it’s likely to happen again here
  9. S2 of Andor was great and led to a satisfying conclusion, but I’m really disappointed K2 only properly showed up in 2 episodes out of 24 in total
  10. I’m fine with Gandalf being the only minifig here as him facing the Balrog alone is part of the iconic imagery, besides there being no real space for additional minifigs And it’s not like the minifigs would’ve been new anyway!
  11. Hooray!! That’s the sad truth. The DCU will have to first prove successful before TLG will release any sets. How high the demand for sets will be a year or more after the movie’s release is anyone’s guess, but they clearly didn’t want to take the risk. If a 100$ Batman Forever Batmobile with one measly minifig is the safer option in comparison, that speaks volumes!
  12. We’re getting the Spiderverse series this year, so the earliest another Marvel series would appear is in 2027, and few people will care by then with all the Secret Wars and BTSV shenanigans going on that year
  13. Not quite, the One Piece sets haven’t leaked / been revealed yet either SW being among the last themes to be revealed is a pretty common occurrence.
  14. The TIE Avenger is the only set based on S2 I could actually see them producing, and even that’s kind of a stretch. It’s not spoilerific in the slightest, so they easily could’ve released it as a tie-in (heh) set this year, and the fact they didn’t is kind of telling And if they ever did a SW CMF, Andor characters would have low priority for multiple reasons
  15. I’d argue it still mostly is, because we clearly know which side everyone’s on, and unapologetically so (one spoilery exception aside). Sure, Saw and Luthen are more extreme than the rest of the rebels and they both did heinous things, so there of course is some moral greyness involved, but you still don’t question for a second whether they’re on the right side of the conflict (again, because of how clearly evil the Empire is). Also, we’ve had plenty of moral greyness in SW before. Han shot Greedo, Chopper is a psychopathic war criminal, we had entire episodes of TCW, TBB, and TotJ/E/U focussed on morally ambiguous characters or straight on bad guy vs worse guy stories even. Anti-heroes and anti-villains are pretty common in SW in general But I feel we’re getting sidetracked a little! There might be a hungry Rancor watching us!
  16. I mostly agree with your take, except for this part. Andor is still very clearly about good vs evil, since the Empire is arguably the most evil we’ve ever seen it on screen. Less moustache-twirly than blowing up a planet just to make a point or frying enemies with force lighthing while cackling maniacally, but still unambiguously evil in its actions and the coldness with which they are planned and conducted. Also, there is nothing wrong with good vs evil storytelling. I don’t like stories where everyone’s a morally dubious douchebag
  17. With additional pictures available, I have to say it fits in with the other two sets even more seamlessly than I thought before! The only thing that doesn’t quite gel is the 18+ packaging that looks a lot less vibrant than the 2014/15 boxart, but we knew it was gonna be an Icons set, so that’s no surprise ^^ The GWP is pretty neat, especially for a yellow box one! No minifigs, but at least it’s compatible!
  18. No, it was a joke, nobody wants that Knocking on wood, but I’m glad the theme has so far steered clear of 4+ sets, mechs, and other gimmicks like that. Sure, call the books and banners gimmicks, but those at least fit with the theme
  19. No. If there was a set, retailers would have listed it ages ago and leakers would’ve known about it too. Maybe next year, even though follow-up sets have not been done before for any of the movies
  20. The MCU version of Ben is not large enough to justify a bigfig in my opinion. He’s slightly taller than his team mates, not Hulk-sized! A new torso á la Hagrid or Egmann might work, but I did NOT like the torso design they came up with for Mr Incredible in the videogame Looks kinda ridiculous with the regular legs, like a walking croissant
  21. I think it looks great! While it’s a bit on the small side, the colour scheme pops and the interior looks fun and packed with details, just like the previous two sets Kinda crazy it feels like they didn’t skip a beat, despite the ten-year gap in-between sets!
  22. If this drawing is to be believed, then cloth kamas are back?! Better late than never, but Rex and Fives sure could’ve used them!
  23. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, but I fail to see how either set can honestly be called “garbage”, especially Barad-dûr. They have their flaws, yes, but this is needlessly harsh and ironically not very constructive feedback for a construction toy
  24. The issue is that those technically would have to be new in all likelihood. The old moulds were likely destroyed a coupla years ago and recreating them still costs a lot, even though they’d result in (near-) identical parts in the end! Expect the GWP not to feature any minifigs and you won’t be disappointed ^^
