DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not the first time a set had a seemingly short lifespan, only to be extended later I wouldn’t read too deeply into that. We can start worrying if there’s no 2HY wave! -

The only things I still want from the theme are sets based on Dumbledore and Voldy’s duel and the Battle of the Department of Mysteries They’ve already done everything else I’ve ever wanted, and that used to be a looooooooong list! -

Marie from Aristocats gets a buildable figure next year (43286, $34.99)! I wonder if there’s gonna be bigger version too, like with Simba and the dalmatian before ^^ Always great to see another classic get some love! -

Always nice to see the new additions in LEGO form Interesting that microscale sets are back on the menu! -

Where to even begin Welcome to the aslume. -
Yes, but Wonka and the Oompa-loompas are clearly based on the 1971 version, and I doubt deliberately mixing elements from multiple adaptations was ever in the cards

I think that was a foregone conclusion with the project specifically being based on that version, it being more liked overall, and WB pushing it way more than the Burton re-adaptation (see the recent prequel and cartoon cross-overs) I still need to watch it since I’ve only seen the Burton version (which I’m very fond of personally) and 2023’s Wonka ^^ While I also would’ve liked a set based on the Burton film, I can easily see why they went with the 70s movie. Can’t wait to see the other minifigs (particularly Wonka) and of course the build itself!

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Personally, I think TLG should just retire both the UCS and MBS labels and call all the big D2C sets “Collector’s Edition”, like they do with the Potter D2C sets. Sets like the AT-AT, the Razor Crest, Jabba’s Sailbarge or the upcoming Death Star blur the lines between UCS and MBS to a degree where a distinction makes little sense anymore -

I’m aware why Gunn greenlit the project, but I find it very risky to have an R-rated horror film as the third entry in your cinematic universe Hopefully the gamble pays off for them! Yeahhhh, I think it speaks volumes that not even the film that revelled in referencing as many silly obscure Batman villains as it could wanted to touch that one -

That’s when they publicly announced the delay, I’m pretty sure they informed their licensing partners well before that And even if the movie still came out in May, I doubt the leakers would know more than they do know. The level of secrecy must be a lot higher than for other movies -

Maybe? Not every reference is a teaser. They often reference characters that don’t appear in sets afterwards Also, speaking of Clayface, it’s kinda weird that he gets a movie this early in the DCU. It’s like Superman! Supergirl! …Clayface…? That’d be like if the third MCU movie was about Sandman rather than Cap (let’s pretend Sandman never appeared in a movie before for the sake of the comparison) Don’t get me wrong, the movie sounds intriguing, especially with Mike Flanagan attached, but it’s a strange choice timing-wise. It can’t imagine it doing too well -

I have mixed feelings about the Death Star rumours. On the one hand, I was expecting a spherical set and accordingly prepared a spot for it. It being a much taller and wider slice guarantees to ruin these plans On the other, this sounds great for displayability reasons! It always bothered me how you could not display the previous two models with all rooms visible at the same time, unless you happen to be able to display them on a table or a pedestal in the middle of a room. I’ll reserve judgement until we see pictures ^^ -
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why not both? If it’s a hint, I guess he’s featured in a set based on ‘97 or the comics. The Doomsday sets most likely won’t get released before October, so there’s no way leakers already know about the set names, let alone the contents! We still have 5 unknown 1HY sets, so maybe he’s in one of them ^^ -

It was recently confirmed that 4 of the characters in the upcoming Brickheadz 5-pack will be the 4 champions, as suspected The 5th is the Hungarian Horntail! -

We‘ve known for a while that the F4 will heavily factor into Doomsday though, so they’re bound to reappear in sets anyway I doubt the costumes will be all that different -

Indeed After TSoD and DoD were both left empty-handed and the Infinity Saga sets started to mostly limit themselves to the same few movies, Galen Erso became by far the most likely of his characters to get a minifig ^^ -

Awesome that the „actual size“ reference box highlights Galen Erso! I see that as a personal apology to Mads Mikkelsen -

Not really. They‘ve made sets for movies that were obviously never gonna be as successful as Supes (and didn‘t have to be, due to lower budgets), and Supes is performing well. Probably not well enough to warrant sets later on, but still -

Babu Frik and The Senate, TROS edition! Dedra Meero, Lama Su, Double Death Troopers, Bly, Bacara, 327th troopers, Galactic Marines, an accurate P1 Clone Pilot, TBOBF Cad Bane, and Cobb Vanth were also ranking high on my wishlist ^^ Now I need to think who succeeds them at the top of my wishlist! Candidates include SM-33, Enoch, L3-37, Dryden Voss, Mayfeld, Qimir, Sol, Boss Nass, an updated Shaak Ti, Talzin, an Incinerator Trooper, Brutus, Carson Teva, a new Mon Mothma, and Shmi. No clue about the exact order tho -

Sim Aloo looks great with that new hat piece! Since they just call him “Imperial Dignitary”, I think he’s the only one to be included Nice to see Tagge too! -

YES YES YES!!! Finally, Mads Mikkelsen gets his long overdue minifig! Say what you will about this year of LSW, but they released the my top 3 most wanted characters all in the same year, so no complaints from me At the rate they’re fulfilling all my wishes across themes, I’m soon running out of things to clamour for -

A second set with the Fantasticar, HERBIE, and Silver Surfer would be, well, fantastic! (SaY tHaT aGaIn ) I doubt it’s gonna happen since follow-up sets are a rare commodity these days and they will save the characters for Doomsday sets ^^ The movie itself was great! Awesome to see the First Family finally being done justice -
Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nope. The set number is an Icons one (10xxx), and Disney D2C sets are in the Disney number range (43xxx). Sure, the upcoming Black Pearl has an Icons set number despite being based on a Disney property, but PotC does not fall under the general Disney theme, just like Marvel, Avatar, Indy, or Star Wars -
Imagine if the choice to do Arkham right now was partially to honour our very own aslume here The theme dies a slow death, we despair and turn into the aslume, then a ray of hope appears, only to be dashed away, and now they release the actual aslume just to mock us Of course, that’s not what happened, but I like to pretend it is Even though the designers are aware of EB, they’d never design a set with us in mind. Then again, we kinda sorta got UCS Dobby’s sock after years of joking about it…

You’re right! There are a few versions that have the monocle on the left eye, but it’s usually on the right! Interesting choice
