LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

How these goobers manage to keep an audience is a mystery to me. Apparently the story was wrong, you can in fact cry wolf 50 times and people still fall for it! Ridiculous. -

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

No. Set-specific GWP sets are reserved for big D2C sets There could be a regular GWP at some point, but definitely not so shortly after the last one! Only big themes like Star Wars have more than one GWP set a year and even those are spread as far apart as possible ^^ -
LEGO Star Wars Media Discussion - Spoiler Warning!

The most likely scenario is another studio getting the license and producing a new BF game boldly titled „Battlefront“, which is then followed by the third Battlefront II Seriously though, I hate it when games or movies have the exact same name for no good reason -

Great news!! This means they have more time to ensure quality (especially in the script and visual effects departments), can get actors to appear that otherwise might not have, Mando&Grogu and Starfighter won‘t have to compete with Doomsday and Secret Wars respectively anymore, and Brand New Day is no longer set between them and has thus more liberties with where they take that story As far as LEGO is concerned, we don‘t usually get a full spring wave anyway and the films still get released the same year, so there likely won‘t be replacement waves. If there were, we’d suddenly get more sets than we would‘ve without the delay, and that makes little sense -

I think a little fun with teasers and what not should be allowed Of course it’s annoying when it crosses the line into engagement bait, but this is harmless so far. I fondly remember when FBTB got ahold of the January 2006 set pictures and put a different funny filter over each one (like mosaic and swirly filters), only revealing the proper pictures a day or so later -

I hope you‘re prepared to keep this up for a while since we likely won‘t hear about the 2026 sets for months still Maybe late July if we‘re lucky! -

Sure, but that also depends on how you look at it. Where do you draw the line? Is last year‘s $160 Star Destroyer more geared towards kids or adults? It has all the characters you‘d need plus an anniversary minifig for collectors, is a detailed model for display, but also has play features. I‘d argue it‘s both, just like the big HP sets -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
@brickbride: That seems rather arbitrary. Disqualifying the Main Tower as a playset since it‘s also displayable and features an obscure character is rather silly to me when it also includes all the challenges, which are clearly meant as play features too. (Also ignoring that Kettleburn is the teacher for care of magical creatures and can thus be reasonably viewed as Fluffy’s caretaker. Same goes for the shopkeeper in the QSS that serves as both an incentive for collectors and to help act out the story of the set). With such vague criteria, any playset above $50 of any theme could be discredited as such. -

They have minifigs and play functions, so they‘re playsets Expensive, yes, but playsets nonetheless. What disqualifies them as playsets in your mind? -

Sounds good! If they also add a CIS higher-up like Wat Tambor or a (Super) Tactical Droid, I will be satisfied with the set -
Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
This year, we have 9 playsets (10 if you count Hogsmeade), 4 buildable figures, 1 display set (still with minifigs), and 1 microscale set. I wouldn’t call that “barely any playsets”. If you mean affordable, there were still two cheap sets in the same wave and there are quite a few medium-sized sets ^^ True, but SW lends itself more to gimmicks with all the vehicles, whereas HP is a lot more location-based. Even the previous gimmick sets depicted locations! -

It matters to me since I keep TCW and ROTS sets in separate display cabinets, and the CTT being a TCW set would throw a wrench into my plans I appreciate them coming back, but I’ll be disappointed if it’s at the expense of a (Super) Tactical Droid or a CIS higher-up. Still, certainly better than just a bunch of regular BDs! -

Probably the MTT since that’s a TCW set while the CTT is based on ROTS (mismatch between unit and vehicle notwithstanding) ^^ Or maybe they’re actually in the 327th BP and the SBDs in the leaked preliminary image were just placeholders -

Not sure about that… The pieces would certainly work aesthetically, but I think they’d want to use hinged pieces so the Pokéball could actually open the way it should -

Guys, none of these gimmicks are ever gonna happen We already have small buildable creature sets and mechs obviously make no sense whatsoever. Plus it’s very easy to stick the main characters into small sets, which they already do, rendering mechs, microfighters etc superfluous. The fact HP constantly ranks among the 5 top performers also proves that the theme doesn’t need any silly gimmicks to survive ^^ -

Yes, 30705 The Lush Cave Fight, released in March! Well, technically not a polybag anymore, since they’ve switched to paper I just realised I didn’t comment on the June set reveals two weeks ago My favourite bits are the return of the enchantment table, the blue parrot, and the Galidor-inspired skin of one of the player minifigs in the Enderman set! That’s just amazing I hope they release more skins based on other LEGO themes! -

I doubt they’re having such a discussion, but if there really was a situation where an Andor and a M&G set idea were directly pit against each other, the chances for Andor coming out on top are right in the refresher That said, I fail to see how a TIE Avenger released in January would threaten M&G sets coming out in March or April, even if there was another TIE in the line-up -

There have been examples where the final set was better than what the leaks suggested (like Gothmog being in Barad-dûr or some of the minifigs in last year’s Great Hall and Durmstrang Ship sets having been misidentified). I can’t think of a SW example right now, but I’m sure there are some!
