  1. That was the initial rumour, which has been corrected a few weeks ago Don‘t be surprised if it doesn‘t end up happening. Wouldn‘t be the first time, looking at the last three waves…
  2. Stonewars have finally compiled their 2022 set list: https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-star-wars-2022-q1-2022/ The only new bit of information I could make out (at least new to me) is the amount of minifigs in Boba‘s palace, which is allegedly 6. Sounds about right My guess is Boba, Fennec, a Gamorrean guard, and 3 members of Jabba‘s former entourage (or the Ithorian, who appears to be a rival)
  3. That‘s the third category, action scenes Granted, they‘re both pretty pointless, but I enjoy them anyway. And the latter gave us two excellent sets
  4. *set is smoothed over with tiles* „This doesn‘t look like LEGO!“ *set has studs showing* „This looks like a blocky, ugly mess!“ Hard to please everybody For me, this isn’t about principles and instead solely depends on the model. Some look better with, and others without studs
  5. Which makes sense. In a book, you can dedicate time to scenes that don‘t really lead anywhere, just for flavour. In a film, those scenes should either advance the plot, or at least involve character development. So a decrease of Quidditch scenes is appropriate. Even the first two were plot-relevant (Quirrell trying to kill Harry in PS and Harry ending up in the hospital wing in CoS). The scenes in subsequent films were distilled even further (e.g. Harry encountering the Dementors again and seeing the Grim in the clouds in PoA). The World Cup being cut made sense too. What was the alternative, breaking the flow of the story (or rather, bringing it to a screeching halt) by crowbaring in a random sports match? The podrace scene in TPM at least involved one of the main characters and had actual stakes. The scene in GoF ultimately served two purposes: establishing characters (Krum & Crouch), and of course setting the stage for the Death Eater attack. If we do end up with another Quidditch set, it‘s pretty much guaranteed to be a remake of the 2018 one. Not many alternatives there. However, they could at least include Lee or an alternative costume for one of the spectating teachers
  6. What did you expect? It was obvious from day 1 that this one wouldn‘t include anything exciting in terms of minifigs
  7. Counterpoint: The Gunship got two exclusive minifigs, while the AT-AT will most likely include 9 repeats that are easily available elsewhere I‘ll take a low amount of new minifigs over a larger amount of repeats any day
  8. Yeah, the legs are by far the biggest weakness of the previous Hulkbuster. You have to angle them just right, or the whole thing will topple over. Had to learn that the hard way when it fell off the top-most shelf in my old room within the first three days after I had gotten it Surprisingly small damage; could easily put it back together without consulting the instructions, so at least it‘s sturdy. I wonder how stable the new one will be, given it‘s twice as tall Maybe they figured out an incredibly effective new technique with the UCS AT-AT they will apply here as well?
  9. The UCS AT-AT allegedly includes 9 minifigs: Luke, Veers, 2 drivers, and 5 Snowtroopers. Cue the outrage in 5,4,3…
  10. In what way exactly? We now know it‘s not a remake of the 2018 one and its size sounds incredible Or do you mean the minifig?
  11. Almost all of them have, this year‘s Spider-man one even featured a recoloured piece (Pork Grind‘s head). Both HP packs introduced two new prints each (the marauder‘s map and Cho‘s face print in last year‘s and the witch’s dress plus DA list in this year‘s) Edit: Ninja‘d
  12. They probably thought „they‘re both rodents, eh, close enough“
  13. That would be a great battlepack, if those existed in this theme I think they‘d go for Dolohov and the other guy that was with him in the restaurant skermish scene in DH part 1 (Rowle?). The others are a bit too obscure I think, Macnair for instance only appears as the executioner in the PoA film adaptation IIRC. Yaxley is quite prominent, but he‘d be a better fit for a MoM set
  14. Definitely not, since new moulds aren‘t introduced through accessory packs Indeed. A major issue with these packs is that they only include a small selection of new prints and/or recolours, which is why there‘s usually 2-3 repeats/kitbashs and 1-2 new minifigs So Figg, Fletcher, and Doge being in the same pack would be rather tricky with only around 3 new prints between them
  15. At least it‘s not a remake, and the size sounds impressive Btw, how come we already know about next year‘s Marvel D2C set? Is it a January release or something? I remember it took wayyyy longer for proper rumours for the previous two D2C sets to show up
  16. Nope, there are still 4 unknown sets: 71396 (€9.99, most likely a new power-up) 71398 (€29.99) 71400 (€59.99) 71402 (€4.99, has to be series 4) They could also be based on Luigi‘s Mansion, but then they probably would have announced them along with the others I think regular Mario sets are more likely
  17. Agreed, they would definitely be good picks As for the accessory pack, a Quidditch-based one seems realistic. I know most of us thought the same thing last year, but still. I’m not overly fond of that idea myself, but a lot of you seem to want that Personally, I‘d rather have some Death Eaters or minor characters that don’t fit in sets (like Mundungus Fletcher or Arabella Figg). Another idea what would be some SoD stuff, but I‘d rather have a proper set or two
  18. The rumour originated from an extra that was on set who referred to the character as "Hammerhead". Some people (correctly) guessed that this was meant to be taken literally, while others thought it was a misdirect I think the whole Plo Koon thing made some people a bit paranoid
  19. Hopefully it‘s the IW design, just for the sake of variety. Still a bit baffling to see a remake of a D2C set after only four years. This usually takes at least 7-8 years
  20. I‘m guessing one‘s an accessory pack and the other a Brickheadz set (hopefully with multiple characters again). I doubt they‘ll do another GWP set so quickly after the current one
  21. Looks good So the rumoured "Hammerhead" character turns out to be an Ithorian after all. Sometimes you have to take things literally then Judging by the trailer, we could see B'omarr monks, Twi'leks, Ithorians, Klatooinians, Gamorreans, Aqualish and/or Trandoshans in the palace set, plus Boba and Fennec of course We've had all of these species before, but at least they're new characters, so I'm excited nonetheless
  22. I think it‘s not a matter of „if“, but rather „when“ Maybe in 1HY, 2HY, or as part of whatever the phase 4 equivalent to the Infinity Saga subtheme will be, but they will be coming at some point, almost guaranteed. TLG loves Spidey and his rogues gallery wayyyy too much to not dip into that gold mine sooner or later
  23. Correct, but TLG still have never officially used the piece to replace the left leg Indeed. I loved that minifig back in the day (was part of my very first Bricklink order in 2007), but the peg leg really doesn‘t work all that well. After all, Moody‘s prosthetic leg in the movie looks like a metallic regular one, not a piraty peg leg
  24. Two issues with that: It‘s the wrong leg, the peg leg piece only exists for the right one as far as I‘m aware They couldn‘t print the coat on the peg leg, so the regular leg would also have to be non-printed, otherwise it‘d look a tad silly I think they‘ll just print the coat on dark blue or black single-moulded legs, with some silver printing on the left one to make up for a lack of dual-moulding
  25. Looks like leak season might finally be upon us, between the leaked raccoon from CMF S22 and the Technic catalogue images Which sets / minifigs are you the most excited to see? For me, it‘s the hospital wing + Pomfrey. …yeah, that’s obviously the case for 99% of us, so kind of a pointless question I have to admit Ok, what are you excited for apart from that then? For me personally, it’s the Moody minifig. The CMF one is PERFECTION, so I wonder how this one will turn out, considering dual-moulded legs (with different colours each even!) are definitely something that‘s reserved for CMFs
