Not having any info besides set numbers three months ahead of the most sensible release date is certainly „weird“. So they‘re either cancelled, delayed far enough as to not appear in any system, or s@h exclusive. None of them are good options since sales will suffer in any case, jeopardising our chances for more sets next year. Anyway, bring on the next minifig leak to distract me

Granted, but even just the Rivendell set alone is a much better revival Out of the themes I care about, this is how I would currently rank their revivals: HP (2018). No question, this is the ultimate comeback, not just in numbers, but quality too. Still going strong 5 years later LOTR (2023). Rivendell is my favourite set so far this year, and I highly doubt that‘s gonna change. Sure, it may be a one-set-revival currently (if you ignore the BrickHeadz), but the set is incredibly strong! Superheroes (2012). Looking back, we‘ve had much better sets since then, but the fact they got the license for both DC and Marvel simultaneously was and still is amazing. Indy (2023). Could‘ve been number 3 or number 2 even, but then the recent news hit Jurassic World (2018): Came back with stronger designs and a much less annoying in-your-face colour scheme than in 2015 Harry Potter (2010): Cool sets back in the day, but pretty weak compared to the standards nowadays Toy Story (2019): 4+. Any questions?! So yeah, Indy doesn‘t have a terrible comeback, but it‘s not a particularly great one either, in my opinion.

I‘m fine with what Amazon and WB are doing, as long as no remakes are involved in either party‘s plans. There are plenty of other ME stories to adapt, just leave LOTR alone

We also have LOTR BrickHeadz and the survey leak suggests Barad-dûr is coming. That‘s more than can be said for Indy, which may not even continue beyond April as far as we currently know

I‘m gonna pretend 77012, 77013, and 77015 are all there is and ever was to this theme. No real point in getting excited for anything beyond that anymore Just trying to avoid more disappointment as much as possible. They’re cool sets individually, but this is not as grand of a revival as I was hoping for, especially compared to the 2012 Superheroes, 2018 HP, and 2023 LOTR ones. It does outdo the 2019 Toy Story revival at least

Yeah, the JP sets are definitely on the good side now Currently, this is how I rank this year’s upcoming sets by levels of excitement: Disney 100 LOTR Harry Potter Jurassic Park Minecraft DC Super Mario Ideas Indiana Jones Marvel Star Wars My most unpopular picks are definitely the low placements of Indy and Star Wars, but both of them fully deserve it at this point Marvel at #10 is probably a common placement after the recent reveals. When you think that Indy used to be my #1 and Star Wars #4 or #5… Oh well Minecraft is also higher than on most people’s lists I assume, but they gave us a frog, a shulker, and the Warden, which are all excellent mobs that have been requested for a while. That’s more than can be said for themes like Marvel The only changes I expect once we have more information or pictures is for… …Mario to rise one spot if the Zelda set gets released this year, or two even if minifig sets are coming! …Mario to drop one spot if none of the above happens, unless the D2C is something special, in which case it keeps its position …Marvel to rise if the unknown sets are good enough …SW to rise if we get at least a handful of minifigs on the level of the last few 2HY waves. #6 is still in reach, but then they have to deliver

The minifig selection is not as exciting as I was hoping for, especially since they have omitted Gennaro AGAIN. Granted (), he is mostly known for his funny death scene, which may factor in, but still. At least Muldoon is likely coming in the Clever Girl set!
