I told y’all that just because there is apparently no fourth starter set nor a new character series you couldn’t conclude that minifig sets are coming I like the look of this! Dry Browser, Dry Piranha Plant and the Blarrg (?) all look great!

Well, even Promobricks are now saying that a release of the DoD sets is looking more and more unlikely since retailers cannot order them Combined with TLG’s omission in the DoD merch press release, I think we have to come to terms with the reality that these three sets are all there is to this pathetic half-baked failure of a revival. This whole thing is starting to frustrate me to the point I’m not even looking forward to the movie anymore. What an absolute sh*tshow

It’s not the same. In the Smyths teaser, the whip is curled up, while it’s fully extended in the artwork on the box. Still, it has the Lucasfilm trademark on the side and everything. I highly doubt Smyths did that without explicit permission from TLG

Publishing finalised pictures too early and customising a teaser by inserting your own logo are two things. Let’s assume Smyths did that without permission. Where did that teaser picture come from then? TLG haven’t used it themselves, and it’s far too late now! In all likelihood, TLG made that picture for Smyths to use. Granted, it‘s weird they didn‘t then proceed to also use it themselves, but maybe they just forgor

It‘s like getting the nice, juicy steak you ordered, but without the sauce, side dishes, and dessert we thought were part of the menu Btw, Zusammengebaut posted the brickshop images in an article, in which they state that they will come back to the topic of the ToD cancellation at a later point. It‘s unclear if they know something already or will try to investigate the subject, but at least we‘ll get answers at some point

Granted, $40 seemed awfully inexpensive, but $80?! Had the ToD not been cancelled, that one would now be at least $120! Yikes. I usually find “TLG hates [(sub)theme]” arguments very tiresome, but if someone told me that they have a saboteur amongst them who tries to destroy the Indy revival with all their might, I would now start to believe it

I think @Legocentrico is right, and the whole body is one single part, akin to the elephant or mammoth parts. As the guys over at Stonewars point out, this was likely done so they could avoid having to flatten the flanks. If you look at the T-Rex for instance, the sides are completely flat to allow the legs to rotate. This likely wouldn’t have worked for the Brachio

I see your point, but the frustration ultimately stems from them not properly announcing the theme. Had they done that with a social media post akin to the Avatar one, nobody would be complaining now. Well, at least not about the state of the DoD sets The ToD situation is an entirely different beast. I wasn’t expecting a huge campaign to begin with, but a quick acknowledgment would’ve been nice

This is getting silly now. Sets scheduled for May, June, and even bloody August are getting revealed left and right now, while Indy has apparently just been forgotten

As jptoys on IG points out, every single one of the sets includes a frog in a different colour. That is such an amazing detail

Feel free to disagree, but this is one of the best JW/JP waves so far in my opinion. The dinos look great (even though the lack of articulation on the Brachio is unfortunate), the minifigs received some nice updates (no new Indy fedora though), and the builds look cool too. Finally we have both car models from the original movie! And the Visitor Center, while being merely a facade, captures the likeness of the building very well! No Gennaro still, but having Muldoon makes up for that

Depends on which stores you mean. According to Promobricks, regular retailers won‘t receive the sets before June. April should be the launch date only for s@h, LEGO stores, and Smyths. Then again, that may only concern Europe. The sets have started to appear on random store shelves in the US, after all Also, looking back at other reveals, maybe we‘re expecting a bit much here. The press release we got for Avatar last March was little more than a tweet‘s worth of content: https://brickset.com/article/73704/lego-avatar-theme-confirmed It’s most likely too late for a general announcement like that. I still hope they‘re hinting at DoD sets whenever they do reveal the April sets, but I‘m afraid they won‘t

Another day, another disappointment I doubt they‘d do two big reveals on the same day, so after the JP sets just got unveiled, Indy‘s turn is either tomorrow or next week

I‘m so done with this nonsense that at this point, I just want to know if we can expect anything beyond these three sets. I need to know if I can safely use the shelf space I made for the theme for other things now Like the Disney 100 sets for instance

Yeah, just as I thought. Hope it‘s just delayed rather than cancelled, just like another certain temple set from a different Lucasfilm property that is rumoured to have met its doom

I‘m equal parts optimistic and pessimistic about what the lack of any announcement means. The pessimistic reading is that they cancelled everything except for these three sets, don’t care enough for an official announcement, and just quietly dump them on s@h on April 1st without fanfare Not particularly realistic as Disney and Lucasfilm surely have a say in that. The optimistic interpretation is that they waited on purpose so they could announce (and maybe even reveal!!) everything at once. Also not overly realistic, as TLG is still not that great at keeping leaks at bay. The actual truth is thus probably somewhere in between
