DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
It’s Batmanised Jonkler tho, not Jonklerised Batman The theme is called Batman, so everything has to become Batman. The locations. The vehicles. The villains. The sidekicks. Innocent civilians. Nothing will be safe. Run. -

I thought we already did! Batman is his own best friend, the villainous colourful pieces are all hidden inside the Batmobiles, and the Batmobiles are locations too since the Batmen can easily live inside of them -

I’d say there’s a good chance they’ll continue with this version of Hogwarts until 2027 at least. Sure, they’ve been working in 3-year cycles so far, but there’s no reason to assume it has to stay that way. Those patterns aren’t set in stone. Just like we assumed they’d continue with DH sets in 2021 after the previous 3 years were each focussing on two movies, and ended up with a reboot of sorts instead, and only a year after that we started to get DH sets after all If the show does get sets (which I still doubt), it might actually work in our favour. The show is set to release at some point in 2027, probably later than sooner, meaning they’d have to have at least one or even two movie waves beforehand if the show premieres in late autumn for instance. Why introduce a new system that gets supplanted less than a year later? Of course they could introduce a new system in 2027 with movie sets first, and then switch to show sets within the same system since the minifigs will likely be the only difference. Doesn’t seem particularly likely to me though. -

This increases our minifig variety next year from five Batmen… to six Not sure whether to laugh or cry about the very real possibility that all of next year’s DC minifigs are Batmen. This was supposed to be a joke, not a prophecy! -

I’m kinda indifferent about the game Could be fun, but only having seven or so playable characters is a huge bummer. Sure, seven might still be a lot in comparison to other games, but for a LEGO game, that is laughably low. I’d also rather they stuck with each film as it was, instead of the strange amalgamation we ended up with -

A picture of the Doc Ock vs Spidey mech is out! Not much to write home about, but I do like the new faceprint they have for Doc Ock and the Spidey mech is inspired by Iron Spider, which is something I guessed ^^ -

That’s quite funny because I have four Helgas, and it’s the only portrait I have more than three copies of! -

What we can infer from the drawing is that Lupin will keep the same hairpiece and that Penelope has an asymmetrical hairpiece, likely the “hair over shoulder” one introduced in 2009 (sometimes referred to as the Heather hairpiece). As for the Dementor, that could go either way. The two hood pieces still co-exist, after all! -

Frankly, yes. As @zoth33 points out, these are the final images. They were leaked by a retailer and have no watermarks, which means they were already sent out by TLG, ready to be used once the set is revealed. Besides, it’s a rare occasion when finalised-looking sets still get updated. Usually, those would be obviously preliminary pictures with 3D-printed prototypes of new elements, white placeholder minifigs, or other stand-ins ^^ Speaking of the leak: a thought crossed my mind, namely that our chances for a GWP aren’t that great. The fact a retailer already had pictures implies a retail release is imminent, in which case a GWP tied to the set makes little sense. Set-specific GWPs are only given away for sets that remain exclusive for the first three months or so. Of course, there are two ways around this: A) the GWP, if it exists, is not tied to the set but given away for purchases of sets from other themes too (which is highly unlikely), or B) it wasn’t the fault of Thalia to release the image immaturely, it was TLG who sent out the picture wayyy too early. In that case, it’s possible that retailers will still only actually receive the set in April or so. -

Not really. The Landspeeders were always at the same scale until the UCS version came out, and there are no microfighter or 4+ versions of it. The best comparison is probably the Razor Crest that got a playset, a UCS version and a microfighter in an even shorter timespan Or X-Wings, which frequently get multple iterations in short timespans, including a mech -

The May UCS set is reportedly gonna be Mando’s N1 with a new Grogu piece! Sounds great!! Hopefully the new piece already shows up in the $10 set! Probably not, as the leakers surely would’ve brought it up already, but a man can hope ^^ -

Yeahhhhh. The Dumbledore vs Grindelwald plot should’ve been its own movie, rather than awkwardly being shoehorned into the FB story. The two plots never properly meshed, so it really wasn’t a surprise when the whole thing fell apart in the end Not sure how well collectable creatures would do, might be a bit too niche I’m afraid -

Couldn‘t agree more! To me, the quality has been up there ever since the theme got brought back, but this is a particularly good wave ^^ Sure, I‘m biased since there are two sets here I’ve wanted since 2010, one of which is even better than my lofty expectations for it (Hagrid‘s motorbike) and the other (Lovegood house) only has two small caveats. But even the others are great, creepy faces aside Looks like they‘re cooking next year in general Maybe not so much with the upcoming smart brick stuff, but Marvel, DC, Minecraft, Speed Champions, and HP all have excellent 1HY waves! -

It‘s only one set, namely Vecna‘s house from Season 5! It‘s dark blue and white, just like in the show, and it splits apart ^^ We don‘t have good pictures of the interior, but the grandfather clock from season 4 is there and a sticker showing Vecna‘s „mind prison“. The minifigs are Vecna, Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Will, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Robin, Mr Whatsit, and Holly (Mike & Nancy‘s sister). -
