With the Soup mech apparently underperforming, I guess it’s curtains for anything that isn’t Batman Yeah, I know, this year’s Marvel mechs didn’t do so well either by the same metric, but this does not inspire any faith in the theme regardless I still enjoy following DCU news, but man it’s just not the same without LEGO sets to go along with these movies and shows.

I guess we’ll learn soon-ish what the faceprint of Ryan Gosling’s Starfighter character will look like in 2027 Project Hail Mary apparently gets a set next March and I assume they’ll conveniently reuse that print ^^

The May GWP is rumoured to be the Darksaber I hope it‘s to scale with the other lightsabers, but then it‘d be too large for a GWP if it includes the blade… Just the hilt would be a bit silly though. Maybe it‘s at a smaller scale then.

I think that‘s most people‘s #1 pick for good reason. Plenty of figures that can be reused (plus a few new ones), visually striking if done right, Spidey sells, and it‘d be some nice symmetry to first have an Oscorp playset sharing shelfspace with a D2C Daily Bugle, with their roles swapped the following year As for the rest of your ranking, I‘d put ‚nothing‘ in 2nd place. Perhaps a cynical stance, but I honestly can’t see any of the other options standing a chance.

@psqidexslizer: In a vacuum, I‘d agree with you. The Daily Planet as a building is vastly more iconic than the Bugle and not enough minifigs being around that could „bleed“ into the set isn‘t that strong of an argument considering this year’s Arkham, for instance. That said, the DC theme is not in a position to get two modulars in a row

We don‘t know yet what the 2HY sets will bring, but I‘d keep my expectations real low Probably another large-scale Batmobile and that‘s it.

Currently, 5 M&G sets are rumoured, 3 in May and 2 in June ^^ Wouldn’t be surprised if there were more in August, along with some Ahsoka S2 sets

Make that a $200 Krusty Krab and I’d unironically take it all There is so much that has been added since 2012 that a revived theme could benefit from, be it in terms of product categories (4+, 18+, Brickheadz) or pieces (dual-moulding, moulded waist attachments like tails, and a whole bunch of now-regular pieces that didn’t exist back then). 2026 is already on a good track to become a top contender for my favourite LEGO year ever between the Ocarina of Time set, the two Deathly Hallows sets, Cobb Vanth’s speeder, the Creel House, the best Marvel wave in years, the upcoming Pokémon theme, more One Piece sets, and the rumoured Minas Tirith set, and if SpongeBob actually returns on top of all of that, it may just take that crown

@just2good just released a video, detailing why she thinks SpongeBob might return! The strongest argument is definitely that the current license holder announced that all of their products have to leave shelves by the end of the year, indicating a new license partner with an exclusive deal, which TLG tend to have. It’s by no means confirmed though. Time to huff some hopium!

Well yeah, a 50th anniversary is definitely more special than a 40th or even a 25th, but my point is that we shouldn‘t expect much, not that they won‘t do anything Personally, I‘ll be happy with a bonus of sorts thrown into sets plus a D2C dedicated to ANH. A ANH-centric wave would be pretty lame since we regularly get sets based on it anyway. I think HP is a good example of how it should be done: the first movie celebrates its 25th anniversary next year but since PS is already highly prevalent almost every year, there‘s „only“ an 18+ set and a small playset to tie in with that movie specifically, while the other sets draw inspiration from multiple films with the patroni serving as an anniversary bonus. I like @Mandalorianknight‘s idea with the McQuarrie designs the best. It celebrates SW history in a very unique way and is specifically tied to ANH without reiterating what‘s been done to death already ^^

Seems like my initial guess was correct and Tahu & Lloyd are the only „named“ minifigs in the series then Hopefully we get more hints soon as to what the „regular“ minifigs will be!

Exactly my point. They do acknowledge movie anniversaries with special bricks, a logo on the package, and tie-in sets here and there, but never a full dedicated wave like new movies are getting ^^

Lloyd is also rumoured to be included! Both Bonkle and Ninjago have their anniversaries next year, so Tahu and Lloyd could simply be included to celebrate them, but this could also be seen as a sign that the entire series is based on classic themes

Exactly. ANH constantly gets set representation anyway, and it’d be way more interesting to celebrate 50 years of SW as a franchise, not just ANH My personal wish is a bunch of sets across the entire saga with a celebratory gimmick. I know some people don’t care for them, but I would love golden minifigs for instance ^^ Special minifigs like last year make more sense for a LSW anniversary specifically.

One of the S29 minifigs is allegedly based on Tahu from Bionicle! Could it be a series based on older themes? Kinda seems too random for a regular series!

The production of a third version of the sticker sheet has been confirmed! Now the 2nd version will likely become a collectors item due to its short-livedness
