That’s alright mate, I’m a bit of a Uber-Doctor who merchandise nerd so I’ve got all the info
-
No, across a few years. Sales must have been good enough to continue. But there was huge breaks between releases, and everything was always on sale. The final “wave” was cut from 5 sets to just 2
-
It wasn’t though, it sold terribly
-
This is very incorrect. They didn’t make 5 sets and 2 blind bag waves. They made 14 sets across 3 years, and 6 blind bag series. They also had army builder minifigure packs and 2 ‘11 Doctor’ minifigure pack sets, and a wave of minifigure focused battle pod things, similar to things like the Ninjago spinner sets, there was also a variant of the 5” action figure TARDIS player festuring a floor with studs on to be able to put character building figures on...for some reason

No one except Lego knows at this point, I hope so though

Here’s something to make you more excited. when I saw the pictures I hated the set, the gates are shaped wrong, flames are in the wrong place, the logo isn’t good, the scenes at the back aren’t great. The minifigure selection is bad and the tree is clunky and I don’t want a giant t-rex.... HOWEVER... I bought the set after seeing it on display. And hot damn, it’s magnificent. Even if the gates aren’t accurate, they’re huge and perfect and it’s such an amazing display piece. And Rexy is so cool. The build is great and she’s really, really fun to pose and display, I only wish they’d given her like a display base or something, maybe with the ‘when dinosaurs ruled...’ banner. Would have been awesome. this set is honestly two amazing £100+ sets rolled into one. I was halfway through the gates and thought ‘these feel like £200’ and then remembered that was only half the set! have fun when you get it tomorrow, you will not be disappointed! -

It’s just so weird that it’s only the women who get reused faces...there’s something off about that -

I hope they don’t do that, the Spinosaur needs to be as big as Rexy. I think we’d need a new body, or maybe Rexy’s body, but with new limbs for the “arms” -

I hope we see a spinosaur in the new wave. With the return of the trike mould, we could potentially see more herbivores? There’s gotta be something they can make with a new headsculpt and clever printing. -

No it doesn’t imply one. There can’t be a marvel series as Hasbro has a master action figure licence, and a long time ago decided that meant Lego can’t sell individual minifigures on themes like Star Wars and Marvel because it will somehow hurt their sales. DC on the other hand don’t have this issue, hence why you get the minifigures with DVDs TW. -
. AnI think we’re comparing apples and oranges here. Stranger things is a horror themed show and season 3 shows horror elements more. It goes beyond what you physically see. I. The hospital episode you can argue this and that, but at the end of the day the episode’s structure and tone is of the horror genre. Indiana jone, Although it indeed does include those things, is not horror in tone. It’s an action adventure which has some risky stuff in it. A lot of the fighting or shooting doesn’t result in blood, and there’s a huge difference when it comes to maturing ratings in how blood is used. A blood splatter on the plane window in Raiders and some blood on that machine in temple is seen extremely different to actually seeing blood coming from a person. The latter is more visceral. Hence why in film ratings for something like Indiana Jones you’ll see ‘some bloody violence’ or ‘fantasy violence’ (referring to the melting nazis) whilst in Stranger Things it would be ‘strong bloody violence, horror, gore’ because of the atmosphere around the scenes and how they are presented.

Hulk is reportedly available for Black Friday, but the rest of the wave releases Jan 1st -
But then you also have the whole of the hospital episode and the concept of the monsters in general
-
The melting people in Indiana Jones was about 5 seconds of screen time. In Stranger Things you see atleast 10 people fully melt and blood and guts monsters appear for most episodes. Whether it’s cartoonish (which I’d say it isn’t, it looks real enough and is trying to evoke imagery from films like the Thing and the Fly) won’t matter to Lego. The sheer amount of gore will be a big no no

Still something we have got in Lego though! (2012 quinjet) so we can recreate that! i have a bad feeling that we’re not gonna get everyone we need in the endgame sets. The variants we need are: Scale Cap, Thor (Although he is just the infinity war version with a beard and long hair), Valkyrie (and we could always get her in 2021 with Love and Thunder), Iron Patriot, Rocket, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Hulk and M’Baku. dont see us getting close to finishing them all. Hopefully there’s a minifigure pack or or something. Would be really awesome if they could do army-builder packs. Like a pack of 2 wakandan soldiers with M’baku And Black Panther -

Fairplay Mates, I retract what I said i hope this set isn’t cancelled. But maybe it doesn’t have Minifigs like some have said. Although in this day and age of Lego I’d be shocked if it didn’t have an exclusive fig -

I mean, the guy who designed the Jurassic Park Set said there was a cancelled batman vehicle D2C. Some people have said he was talking about something from the first Lego movie, but why would he be talking about something from 5 years ago?... -
Theres only one more CMF this year, and that the “regular” series. However if the PST few years are the pattern for the future, then we have 2 licensed themes next year. However we don’t have any Lego movies coming out, so HP is definitely a possibility

Imagine if it was like a “bat mobile collection” just includes every iconic version of the batmobile at system scale. so the very first batmobile, probably one from the 80s, dark knight returns, 1989, animated series, 2005, Arkham knight. would never happen, but man imagine it! -

Wow, that is amazing! Great job

anyone else think that Sirius Blacks hairpiece would be good for a season 2/3 Steve? His hair is more mullet-like in those seasons, the hairpiece captures it way better than the greasers hair I think
-
I was going by the uk Lego shop site, says 360 pieces there. But 430 is even better value. In a couple months it’ll be down to £40 atleast and be less than 10p per piece, perfect!

Really hope it isn’t an 89 set. I know a ton of people love that batmobile, but I personally don’t like it. But if the set looks good I’m sure it will tempt me, might look good next to the Tumbler now if it was an animated series batmobile on the other hand... i would love something that was minifigure scale though, like the old rumoured GCPD, or heck even another Arkham would be fine by me. The dream is a huge batcave though, hopefully one day
