  1. They’re not the same price everywhere. In the UK, the triceratops set is £5 cheaper, and yet has more pieces
  2. It wasn’t like that, I think I already said, and there is a picture on the thread somewhere. But there’s weren’t sets that were ‘given out’. There were literally just tubs of 100s of bricks and you had to go through them to find the pieces to make your set, and about 30 people had to share 10 instruction sheets. There weren’t employees making sure people got a set, it was just a free-for-all on these bins of bricks, and they kept refilling the bins with just cardboard boxes full of more bricks. People didn’t have to ask to receive the build at all, you just had to be willing to fight through the crowd to get to the bricks Marty Mcfly could work too, has a slight sunken eye look
  3. I reckon they’ll go down fairly quickly. Hype is real right now. i even got Justin to write my name on my set so I wouldn’t be tempted to sell in the future, a collectors item for myself only!
  4. Contact customer service Technically it doesn’t count as a regional exclusive. It’s not a set (doesn’t have a set number) it’s not got any exclusive parts and had no packaging or officially released instructions or regularly produced stickers
  5. Some people took them for granted. I saw a guy build 4 castle Byers, then come back and build two more. They’ll almost certainly end up on eBay. I made two, because I want to expand one to make it more minifig scale.
  6. If you read on you’d see I corrected myself, I was at the event
  7. It’s an extremely simple and flimsy build, and the stickers weren’t even proper stickers, they were printed on regular sticker paper you can buy in any shop. It really didn’t seem like something they’re gonna be mass producing any time soon
  8. Queuing to get my set signed at the moment so can’t, but it is on Instagram in the usual places
  9. Update: not exclusive print, there’s a sticker sheet. It’s just the sign saying castle byers second update: two stickers
  10. The mini build is castle Byers with exclusive prints
  11. Will do it when in the queue to get the set signed. They’re gonna filter is into the store over the 3 hours. I’m fairly early in the queue (wristband 68) so should be pretty soon into the event
  12. Oh right, fair enough. If I were a betting man I’d go for a mini Hawkins police car, if there was a print would just be a mini Hawkins PD logo. Can’t think of what else it could be, maybe a miniland style Eleven or something? Like the Princess Leia they did a while back
  13. I know? Sorry but confused by what you mean.
  14. Appropriate reaction Will be sure to let you guys know what it is
  15. “There is an exclusive make and take build that is only at this store and related to the set” sorry guys EDIT: just announced by a store employee
  16. There’s someone filming right now, interviewing people in the queue. There’s only about 100-110 people here. They gave out red and black cupcakes and some Star Wars poly bags. I got the Vader battle pod and the astromech from a Rogue one, but I believe some people have gotten DJ and a tie fighter or poes x-wing.
  17. So some people started queuing at 3am, it’s now 4.26pm and there’s apparently 6 people in the queue. i think they overestimated the popularity of this compared to the Falcon
  18. What I love about this set is that it is a display piece. Lego have been moving towards that the last few years. On the one hand you have the ships from Star Wars and the helicarrier etc. But an actual display piece that knows what it is is something I hope they continue. Hogwarts last year, this set this year, they’re both amazing sets that a casual fan can get to show their love for the property without worrying about it being a kids toy or a play set. It’s great. I love how even in the description they don’t mention play features, they mention details. Even hoppers car opening is referred to as ‘easy access’ to more details, not to make play easier. continue this trend Lego!
  19. One of those parts is from the mini creator Beetle, I wouldn’t be surprised if the other was from somewhere else too. dont forget that there is a huge marketing push behind this. Lego has supposedly been fined by Netflix for the early leak. It wouldn’t surprise me if Netflix has put a lot of money into this, bankrolling all these teasers and videos, and the costs behind the London event. A small printed part (that could easily just be a sticker, it’s not exactly 4K quality video) is feasible just for an ad. They also built a billboard for the add too
  20. The car didn’t look very official to me, pretty sure it was just made for the sake of the ad
  21. Fair enough, I think it might just be my huge amount of nostalgia for that original set, probably my most played with Lego set from when I was younger
  22. Don’t get all the hate for the knight bus, it’s the most accurate one yet, good price, good minifigs, what’s not to love?
  23. My ranking: 1) The Knight Bus 2) The Clock Tower 3) Expecto Patronum 4) Hagrid’s Hut 5) The Rise of Voldemort 6) Beauxbatons Carriage 7) The First Task
  24. I think the Finn hairpiece is way too long for 11. Going no hairpiece was the only option in my opinion. I’m gonna give hopper the Dimensions Venkman hairpiece, hopefully that might make him look a little better im glad they did what they did with Lucas. The hair doesn’t work perfectly, but I’d rather get an exclusive piece and it look okay than get the very common Finn hairpiece. I have a spare of that so it will be easy to change if it looks bad in person. but I disagree with Will not needing one, he’s the only one that did, his hair is very specific. The Ron bowl cut is way too big and innacurate, and the Spalko Bob is the wrong shape. Dustin would be the sacrifice I would make, the Hobbit hair could of worked Just noticed that the car can be attached so it doesn’t fall off if it’s upside down! Awesome work on this, just looked up the designers others sets, brilliant stuff, he and the designer of the UCS Falcon are probably my favourite designers right now
  25. I’ve said this before, but the HD pictures have confirmed it I think, the two half size of the set can be taken apart, and it’s ball joints used to attach them together
