  1. Another good comparison is the system-scale hogwarts and the UCS Hogwarts. The UCS one is for the collectors who are franchise fans but don’t necessarily have an interest in Lego. The system scale set is for those who like collecting Lego sets. I don’t have any inside information, but I would be shocked if we got any more sets based on the first movie, it would devalue this D2C and has no precedent that I can think of. We could get something from a different movie, but I’m pretty sure that the Kitchen set and this will encompass everything a collector would want from those movies. Hence why I have a feeling that Rexy and atleast 1 raptor will be in the set, I might be wrong, but say we got rexy and 2 raptors, combine it with last years set and you have all 3 raptors, and then there could be a ‘collapsing banner’ play feature for display.
  2. Hadn’t even realised about the Marauder’s Map, very odd that it doesn’t appear in any sets, just a 2x3 printed tile of the front cover would be fab
  3. No idea why Harry Potter has a 2020 thread, nothings been confirmed
  4. I’m gonna predict that they’re gonna go up for pre-order like they are in the uk, so maybe because of that they’ll be listed closer to the time of release, otherwise it’ll be 2 months of pre-orders
  5. This is very likely gonna be a one and done set, like Ghostbusters HQ. Lego aren’t looking to milk the original film, Universal are focusing merch from the new movies, you can’t even get the ‘legacy’ toys in the uk. The set last year was a tester, but this will likely be the only set we’ll see from the first movie. Maybe we’ll get something from 2&3 at some point, but yeah, they’re gonna make this a collectors set that casual Lego fans can still buy if they like the franchise, like the upside down, ghostbuster hq etc.
  6. What’s are the August and September ones? I know Star Wars is October 1st
  7. I would usually say something like this is wishful thinking, but nope, 100% think this is the case. I stand by that a brachiosaurus could be done with a brickbuilt body and just moulded neck/head. Also, I think this indicates a July release for the JP D2C, as that head would be in the JP set first, and it makes sense if the first of the summer JW sets are released in July for the US. So I’m gonna predict that we will have a mid-June Vip release, and July 1st regular release.
  8. That riddler looks great, and the trophy is very well done!
  9. I presume so, Argos were allowing you to reserve them and have since gone back to just information
  10. No and yes. They didn’t connect, but the 2001, 2004 and 2007 castles definitely fit stylistically with each other, along with other sets around that era. The 2010 set is just it’s own thing though
  11. There isn’t a baby volde though isn’t there? It was reported before, but it’s not on the box
  12. Why would it when no old sets are on the advertisement page (yes hogwarts is on the other page, but there is a separate text box for that)
  13. I’m the knight bus instructions there is a second page with all the other sets, and it also says it
  14. So according to Lego’s customer service, united availability means they have produced less than a normal production run, but there may be more produced later. It seems they’re still playing it safe with this theme, so get them while you can just incase they don’t sell well and are retired quickly
  15. No one has mentioned this yet, but the pictures of the other sets in the instructions say ‘limited availability’ anyone have any idea why?
  16. Seriously, the day after I buy 2 of them
  17. It seems they’re putting more focus into the Lego store exclusive “accessory” packs. For example the recent Far From Home packs. It’s obviously not as detailed as a bricktober pack, but hey better than nothing
  18. Found them all in Smyths Crawley, very almost bought the bat mobile, but prioritised Harry Potter
  19. Just picked up the Knight Bus and Expecto Patronum from Smyths in Crawley. They have all summer sets (batman, HP, Jurassic World, City Space) it was hard not to buy them all. But nostalgia got me on the knight bus, I have so many memories with that original set.
  20. Smyths toys in the uk have all the summer sets in store and online
  21. Smyths toys have all the summer sets in stock in the Uk, in store too
  22. Considering there’s no trex in the ideas set, one in the D2C could be a great companion piece, I’m definitely displaying the skeletons in my JP display
  23. And ordered. Fairly certain you guys got them June 1st. I was checking everywhere here that day just in case. This thread (or rather 2018) was the only thread I followed really then It seems they’re on sale in the uk. They’re in store in all Smyths
  24. Was hard watching for two months last year over here, but even then we had the brickheadz to pass the time I guess
