  1. However unlike those, we’ve had no leaks, which is odd. With both those sets we either had minifigures or a set description
  2. Are we definitely getting this D2C? There’s been like zero information on it
  3. £45 for 360 pieces is a bit much, but consider there’s 2 moulded animals and Hagrid with new printing and the hat moulds, not that bad at all
  4. That’s fair enough, makes sense. but what’s the deal with the Harry Potter 2020 thread? That’s been open a couple months despite not even having any 2020 information until yesterday
  5. Considering this wave is only 4 sets, making it way smaller than the previous 2 (unless it’s a two-part wave like this year) I’m expecting this to be a winter wave, with some more sets in the summer. There’s still a fair bit from 3/4 they can do. Specifically thinking the second task for 4, and maybe the durmstrang ship. They’re will probably be a 5 set in there too. EDIT: we didn’t find out about this years sets until November last year, so this info seems too early to be summer to me
  6. There’s nothing wrong with the sets looking like kids toys in general, because they are. But you compare these sets to what we just got for Far From Home, or Harry Potter, or Star Wars. None of those have weird innacurate over-the-top city style vehicle sets like Endgame has had. The builds with marvel just seem so plain and boring. Far From Home is probably the best wave for set design in Marvel since 2016 (although infinity war had some good ones) thankfully though, if the hulk helicopter is anything to go by, the vehicles may atleast be well designed this time round the problem with mechs in marvel to me is a result of the simplification of the builds too, compare the War Machine buster to the likes of the Oni-Titan, the Egghead mech, triple decker couch or Lex Luther 2018 mech. Those are all amazingly designed, but the war machine one is just awful
  7. I think this theme is gonna stick around for a while thankfully. If the 4 sets are for winter 2020, then they’ll probably be based on the Lego series/movie. But I could easily see us getting another wave later in the year to coincide with the release of the Netflix series. Hopefully there will be a new Indominus in it. And then in 2021 we should get a wave for the third movie
  8. Hopefully the 4+ mysterio Set is comic mysterio! Can FINALLY complete the sinister 6!
  9. How the heck was this being sold at Legoland, I thought it wasn’t being sold until August...
  10. I won’t disagree with your other points (except style, violently bad 80s style) but she wasn’t complex. She was pretty much a one-note character in writing terms. Her purpose was to represent the type of girl Nancy was before she met Steve. She only exists to actually make Nancy more complex.
  11. Eh, I didn’t like her that much, and I saw her death coming a mile away, she was just a plot point. Never understood the hashtag or the fan love, and I hate that so much merch gets made for her rather than other characters. but SDCC exclusive? Yeah I’m fine with that. although if we never get the other wayyyy more important character, that will sting hard
  12. I have never and never will understand the obsession with Barb. She was in the show for 5 minutes and has a Lego minifigure and McFarlane action figure before Steve, Nancy or Jonathan. im just happy it isn’t Steve, really couldn’t care less about Barb. I really hope there will be a minifigure pack with Nancy, Jonathan and Steve
  13. I just hope the autumn wave brings in all the missing characters from endgame. It’s unlikely we’ll see an accurate Hulk now that we have two, but we’ve got Rescue. Hopefully we’ll see Scarlett Witch, Valkyrie, Cap, Thor, Rocket, Rhodey and Captain marvel
  14. I’ve always thought of it like that tbh, I think Lego are starting to get the idea that people like one-off sets based on popular IPs. I think this and the Jurassic Park Gates are both kinda experiments with what they can do. I really hope this set is doing well, because I’d love more things like this. A super cool display piece with a good minifigure selection and attention to detail and Easter eggs in the build, box and instructions.
  15. How about common courtesy to those that haven’t seen the movie yet. That is potentially a huge spoiler. Don’t be rude about it
  16. Huh, went to the Lego shop and didn’t see this brickheadz. It’s supposed to be international right?
  17. PSA: they have atleast 80 bricktober packs in London Hamleys. Just a shame the stuff is so expensive. I might get one tomorrow. I figure that the pack makes up for the extra 20+% you’re paying on the price of the set(s) you buy
  18. I’m fine with the lack of gold, makes him a mix of MCU and comic
  19. Does anyone know if the brick toner pack is still at Hamley’s London? I know a while back they still had loads, but has anyone been their more recently?
  20. I doubt there will ever be anything season 3 related released. The gore and horror is ramped up in this season. I kinda feel bad for Lego risking this theme and then the very next season is very very over the line. Season 1 and 2 could get away with it..just, but there’s some intense stuff in this (amazing) season
  21. Oh boy, no spoilers, but anyone still claiming that Stranger Things is at the same levels as Indiana Jones and Jurassic World after season 3 are kidding themselves. I’ll give you season one, but I’m confident they’ll never do things based on season 3
  22. Just seen Far From Home and mist say I’m surprised how accurate the sets are. Everything is very accurate, extremely really, I can’t think of much other than minifigure placements being wrong here and there. even the minifigure pack is quite accurate. Well done to Lego, proof that Endgame just had higher secrecy around the merchandising
  23. I like how everyone’s predictions are accurate things with inacurste minifigures, and yet the one set we have seen has inacurate things with inaccurate minifigures... just a thought though, but check out the Pegasus-like creatures (they’re called something different in the HP universe) in the Harry Potter August wave. There’s a chance we could see Valkyrie with one of those.
  24. How about, for this set, replace the mini leviathan and helicopter with a larger leviathan? And they could couple it with another set with Giant-Man in so you can recreate that punch scene. also a set with a brick built version of those giant Chitauri gorilla things, or a set with a mini-scale Sanctury II. There’s plenty of choice, as appears to random realism city vehicles Eh, a phone picture, and an instagram one is a different kettle of fish. In my opinion what it looks like in real life doesn’t matter, if it’s been edited in the movie to look more blue, then it’s blue. an odd example to bring up here, but in Doctor Who, the 10th Doctor wears a grey suit, however, the colour correction makes it appear a light brown in his first series. So for me, it is a light brown, off screen isn’t important, I want to replicate what was on screen
