Does anyone know what the parts for Jessica Jones in this are? Would love to build her myself. Thanks!

And, in terms of our odds of getting Clayface as an official character, kinda looks like a poop demon... Maybe it'd work better as a Big Fig? Or in a lighter brown? Maybe tan or dark grey? Maybe they could do it Sandman style where it's half, say, the Joker, and the other half is Clayface, like he's half way through disguising himself... I just looked at some other, non-Lego Clayface toys, so it's definitely not just a minifigure design problem. Clayface just looks weird as a physical object... -

I got mine off the Brickkit store on BrickLink: http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=radza&itemID=79084905#/shop?o={%22invID%22:%2279084905%22} I'm not a customs expert by any means, but I was happy with what I got. I also ordered that with most of the SDCC customs so the shipping from Poland wasn't so bad on a per figure price, but if you're looking for just the one, may not be the best option. -
Has there Ever Been a Stan Lee minifig ?...because
HyperOnion replied to r5-j2's topic in LEGO Licensed
Those would be pretty cool, but I have to imagine the licensing for them would a whole seperate headache. Probably not so much for Stan Lee (since he'll be in ANYTHING), but the others would be a lot more work for a pretty niche product... I am surprised Stan Lee hasn't been the SDCC minifig, though. Not to be morbid, but maybe they're waiting until he dies so they can "honor" him with it? -
I'm unfamiliar with the source material, so I can't speak for the accuracy. But just as a set these look awesome! As for custom torsos / tiles, other people who have been in the Lego community longer can probably give you more options, but I've used Minifigs.me in the past for a custom head, and was happy with the result. I know they do custom torsos and tiles too. Looks like you're in the UK too, so it being British based should be less of a problem for you (I'm in the US, so shipping / converting to pounds wasn't ideal for me...). Let me know if you find other services that do this kinda thing? I have some ideas brewing in the back of my head to convert the Detectives Office modular into an Jessica Jones Alias Investigations set. And by converting, I mostly just mean swapping out the printed window for a custom printed window...

That's dead on for the version in the Lego games, but... seeing it physically helps explain why there hasn't been an official Clayface yet. Super well done custom, but man, I don't know if there's a way to do that character without it looking like... well... not clay. Yeah, keeping up isn't so bad, but filling out your backlog is rough. If you're just starting out, looking for lots might help you get stuff cheaper then buying individually? At least when I was doing the Simpsons CMF line, getting like 12 of the figures in a lot got me a pretty good price per figure, and then trying to get the last 4 is where the prices started killing me... Really, I wish I'd known about Bricklink earlier, since I paid WAY too much on eBay for some of my earlier acquisitions compared to what I've seen them on BL for now. -
Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

The Netflix show probably hurts Daredevil's chances then helps them, honestly. Also, why single out She-Hulk? She's a hugely popular character--she's been on pretty much all the teams, has had several well regarded runs, is a main player in the big Marvel crossover going on right now... just seems weird to call out the second best known and fan-loved Hulk when she's in a set with Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk, two characters who are way down on the D-list.- 5,808 replies

If you go back to the Spider-Man sets, there's some paramedics, robbers and scientists... but yeah, very few civilians in the line over all. -

SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016
HyperOnion replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sort of? The Ultimate Jessica Drew is an almost completely different character then 616 Jessica Drew. She's closer to Ben Reilly then Jessica Drew proper, being a clone of Peter Parker in the Ultimate version of the Clone Saga. It's one of those ways that the Ultimate Universe lost the thread as it went on, making continuity WAY more confusing instead of being the continuity-lite version of Marvel it started out as (case in point, why did Ultimate Jessica Drew switch to the Black Widow codename? I get it's a cool spider name but man does that confuse up all the things for readers)... I mean heck, 616-Jessica Drew was under the Avenger's banner for most of her existence (what up, origin all full of Wundagore Mountain and the High Evolutionary and HYDRA), and only recently moved to the Spider-line. Usually I'm cool with getting an Ultimate version as counting towards getting that character, but... not so much in this case. (and uh... apologies, this is probably way off topic...) -

I know we all hate the Rhino/Sandman Team Up set, but something along those lines would've been good for this. Just try out every kind of destructible environment trick in one set. ...but then, I'm all for more locations and fewer vehicles as an overall direction for the line.- 5,808 replies

SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016
HyperOnion replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Small exclusive sets with a figure who's going to get a mass release later, or exclusive packaging of a preview figure would be much less annoying--can still maintain it's collectability, without being as annoying for fans of that character who can't afford the ridiculous mark up. If they did Spider-Woman now it would probably be in her updated costume (which I'm good with, since the old one is... pretty outdated). I'm also guessing they'd go with a different Jean Grey costume if they put her in an X-Men set now... -

Well... that's super surprising. SUPER excited for She-Hulk. Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk are okay--love getting new characters, but they were way down my list of characters I was looking for (like, sub D-Man level). At least Red Hulk gives my Hulkbuster someone to fight. Don't really need another Hulk variant, but would be weird if this set was just the OTHER Hulks. Build is terrible, but I can see it being a fun set for kids--hopefully there's lots of destructible bits for kids to smash. And also I was planning to just get the figs on BrickLink, so I guess it doesn't matter what I think of the build... beyond it being too weird and expensive to make a good parts pack to help drive the cost down... Well that's good news!- 5,808 replies

SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016
HyperOnion replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yup. Reminder, this is the suit it's being based on: I'm assuming the shield will be based on that new Nexo Knights piece, not the circular one (if they include the shield at all, that is). Also, I'm real surprised we haven't seen official images yet--ComicsAlliance had whole article about other toy companies' SDCC exclusives, and we're getting 2017 images already, but... nothing for Lego for SDCC yet. Weird. Edit: Trying a different, smaller image. -

Fortunately, I don't like how most customs turn out looking--you get a real good sense of how well done the Lego aesthetic is usually done when you see other people not QUITE get it. Usually a bit over-detailed, or the eyes are a bit off, or on women characters the hips effect (which I hate even in official Lego) is way too overdone. That last one is the only reason I haven't gotten the Spider-Gwen custom, which I otherwise love. So, being overly picky helped out my wallet in this case... That said, customs for the SDCC work, since they're going off Lego designs (and lets me feel fairly completionist without spending a year's worth of rent). And I ended up getting a Misty Knight, because she's awesome and I can't imagine getting an official of her. -
Thiiiiis is awesome. Makes me wish I'd built my MOD Avenger's Tower with higher floors--would love to steal your lab, but it wouldn't remotely fit. Anyway, awesome job.

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
HyperOnion replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nah, just mentioning the ones Borex called out. WCA was before I got super into comics, so... Tigra and Wonderman are pretty low on my list of characters I want to see. Yeah, I'm pretty surprised they haven't at least updated the team to keep up with the MCU lineup. Sticking with the Avengers 1 team seems pretty limiting, even if just from a crass merchandising perspective... Ah nuts. Zemo is cool, but Kang has the chance to be an all time favorite minifig. ...how about AIM? I've been wanting an army builder of AIM goons--have mobs of Hydra, Ninjas (thanks, TMNT line! The Foot subs in for The Hand pretty easily), SHIELD, and Ultron drones, but am missing Science Terrorist Beekeepers from my henchman mob lineup. Any chance of seeing them next year?- 5,808 replies

I don't watch Avengers Assemble, but doing some quick googling, it doesn't seem like Vision or Scarlet Witch are part of it? Nor Tigra or Wonderman. From a press release on the new season:- 5,808 replies

Nice work with the hips! My one problem with the mixels-joint style builds is that everyone ends up looking squatty and bow-legged, and you totally found a way around that. Granted, it bothers me less in the Hulkbuster, but I wish Lego had done a fix like yours for the Sentinel and Groot.

LEGO Dimensions Physical Brick Discussion
HyperOnion replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Licensed
So like, a head in one pack, torso in another, and legs in a third? I wouldn't be against that (I'm all for fitting in more figs, and it guarentees they'd have leg printing), but 1) that doesn't really seem Lego's style, and 2) for Dimensions specifically, each fig needs to have a game token. Not sure how you'd split that into multiple packs?- 527 replies

Favourite Marvel/DC minifigures of 2016?
HyperOnion replied to Duncan Young's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanos is pretty cool, and came close to making my list... except that the lack of an Infinity Gauntlet filled me with a fear that this was going to be followed up with an MCU, no Gauntlet variant for Infinity War 1, and then an MCU, w/ Gauntlet for Infinity War 2. I don't got room for that many Big Fig variants, Lego! Why aren't you catering to my very, very specific needs, geeze. -

Where'd you get the Sam Wilson? Looks really similar to mine, except mine didn't come with the dual molded legs. Which wasn't a problem, since I just ordered some off of B&Ps (and got some extras to red boot-ify some of my spare Spider-Men, which was nice), but would like to know who I should be watching when the customs of this year's SDCC exclusive come out... -
[MOD] A More Attack-y Attack on Avenger's Tower
HyperOnion replied to HyperOnion's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks! It was either that or modular building style removable floors, and that seemed a bit precarious on a building so tall and thin. If I were to start from scratch, I'd try to find a way to have fewer points of contact between the sliding pieces and the main building, since getting the floors in and out takes a bit of shimmying. But I'm over all super happy with how it came out--wouldn't pass muster in an official Lego design, but works for my needs. Also, I uploaded the LDD files I worked off of, if that helps anyone. AvengersTower_Floor1&2.lxfAvengersTower_Floor3.lxfAvengersTower_Floor4.lxf Caveats on those files: -This is only for the bottom four floors (I already had the top floors built out--basically just take the existing layout, and make it six studs wider and four studs deeper in the back) -.Top support beams need to be modified to be tiles on top -Modified the storage trays on the bottom so there's no longer any studs connecting the top try to the bottom. Even the four studs I have in the LDD file made it too secure a connection, and would lead to the whole thing coming apart when I tried to take the top tray off. -The command center I modeled on level 4 gets moved up to level 7, and loses it's top in the process. And obviously the medical beds on level 3 get tripled--I already had two from previous builds, so only modeled the third to get the piece count right. Hopefully someone finds them interesting / helpful despite all that. OH ALSO! Because it's Lego, and adding to this scratches an itch that nothing else does: I'm thinking of adding a floor between floors 4&5--just over the lower balcony, to move the Iron Man launchers up a level so they don't open onto the battle scene on the balcony. But I'm not sure what I would put there. Living quarters are the first thing that come to mind, but I don't think they'd fit into the space I have super well. I know I want a door onto the balcony, but other then that, I'm low on ideas. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!- 20 replies

Would love that, although I wouldn't be surprised if that was the kind of thing they save for a SDCC Exclusive (seems on par with Sam Wilson Cap). Mostly though, I just really want a Lady Sif. I know we're all expecting only one set for Ragnarok (which... I also think is the most likely), but hopefully it's a big enough set to include both Sif AND Valkyrie as well as Thor / Hulk / whatever enemies they include. Probably a pipe dream, I know... I also hope that however large the Spider-Man: Homecoming wave is, it's big enough that we get a good number of civilian characters. The supporting cast on that film is PACKED and I would love me a Hannibal Buress minifig.- 5,808 replies

Favourite Marvel/DC minifigures of 2016?
HyperOnion replied to Duncan Young's topic in LEGO Licensed
(I'm Marvel only, so... no opinion on the DC side) Silver Centurian is pretty clearly the best minifig this year--possibly Giant Man if we're counting him. But favorite would have to go to either Captain Marvel or Black Panther. Both could be improved (better hairpiece / leg printing respectively), but bot are overall great minifigs of characters I've been wanting for awhile. Of all time... dunno, but Loki, Dr. Doom, MODOK, Miles Morales, and the red boot Spider-Man are all up there.
