Nice! Decided to build out my Dora army some too. Not as many as you, but I'm happy with what I got: IMG_20180408_120746 by Onionania, on Flickr IMG_20180408_120956 by Onionania, on Flickr Still lacking great options for black women heads over all (especially when they need to be one sided for these bald Doras), but weirdly this Star Wars character I've never heard of (Agen Kolar?) works really good. Alien spots work for characters with facial tattoos! -
Hey all! Since Lego was good enough to include 4 of each infinity stone with each set, I figure we've all got a few spare ones lying around, and a few we're missing. So I was thinking it'd make sense to set up an exchange, so we can all help each other complete our gauntlets. If you're interested, list what you have and what you want in a post here. If you see someone who matches what you want to trade, send them a private message, exchange addresses, and mail each other some all powerful cosmic artifacts! Clean exchanges only, please don't ask for money, this is all for fun and not profit. HAVE: 2x Orange 2x Red 2x Blue 2x Green ...and I don't have it in hand, but I'm having 2x Purple shipped to me, and should have soon. WANT: 1x Yellow

I'm only going to use it for display, so I'm not HUGELY upset about the lack of articulation in a set that isn't really meant for play. I do hate that it forces the the Hulkbuster into a ramrod-straight position, when the real thing has TERRIBLE posture. Really, that's why it looks wrong to me--it's standing straight up, when the real thing always looks hunched over.- 3,962 replies

Good news, they have a new 20% code up on Google Express if it's your first order. Expires on the 9th, so it can be used on these sets when they come out. Also they've got a referral thing going too? This code might give you another $10 off? https://express.google.com/invite/P73H3Q45H (mods, let me know if this is scammy? If you think it's fairer I'd be willing to set up a chain so we can spread the referral bonus out more evenly)- 3,962 replies

Just got a Lego Store email where they're calling it UNITE THE UNIVERSE, which is a pretty grand name for such a bland promotion. Would hope there's more to it then art prints and a mini build, but even the rumored minifig polybag is super underwhelming...- 3,962 replies

I don't mind the gauntlets--they're close enough, and they're not so defining to the character that having a "close enough" piece stand in for them bugs me. Not that I'd poo-poo custom gauntlets, obviously! I'm more disappointed we're getting her in a fairly generic outfit / head instead of her more distinctive clothes / face paint. Although I'll gladly take it if that minifigure means she goes undercover at Peter's school and they become Science Bros and that becomes the rest of the movie, because there is literally nothing more I want to watch right now.- 3,962 replies

I'd be most interested in the HQ, but I wouldn't be shocked if we don't get it for awhile--it's not particularly iconic, and we haven't actually seen that much of it in the films. I'd much prefer a UCS Hulkbuster to a Quinjet, though! In terms of filling out the piece count to get it to UCS level, maybe it includes Veronica?- 3,962 replies

Plus, the Superheroes line has never gotten a pure battle pack--closest we got was the Ultron one, and that still had an Iron Man in it. I suspect we never will, since the genre is more geared towards conflicts between small groups of named characters, instead of large armies like in Star Wars...- 3,962 replies

So, some thoughts on the Infinity War sets. Everyone else has gone into more depth on most of it already, and I mostly agree with the general consensus, so just gonna skim through some stuff. 1) Gonna get the Sanctum, Hulkbuster, and the Battle Pack (which... build there is meh, but a set like that it'd be about the same price to buy it as to bricklink the figures, so no reason not to) 2) I am 100% gonna turn that Sanctum set into a full modular building. I'm pretty much done with modding my Avenger's Tower, so I'm excited to have a new building project. And hell, probably turn the other side of it into a modular apartment building too. Fortunately, the official set is AMAZING and it looks like it's mostly a matter of expanding out the sides and figuring out the back. Think I'm gonna move my storage room from my Avengers Tower into the interior of that, maybe turn that space into a training room or something... 3) I'm excited we're getting a Battle Pack-ish set, since that's something I really wish we got more of in the Marvel Superheroes theme. I wish it could be more pure Battle Pack and not have any named characters (maybe two Outriders and two Dora Milaje, or a Dora and a Wakandan soldier?), but I get that we're probably never going to get that in this theme. Do like that they're making up for keeping Black Widow exclusive to the most expensive sets in the first two Avengers waves by putting her in the cheapest set again. 4) Do we know which minifigs are for sure repeats? Bruce Banner, and it looks like Rocket, Star Lord, Black Panther and Vision? All of which I'm okay with being repeats. Or, would be in a regular wave, and in this one I wish were given to one of the 40-odd characters that are somehow in the movie that we're missing... 5) Overall, SUPER happy with this wave. Given a side glance over at the DC winter wave and am a little jelous we're not getting any comic sets in the near future, but gotdamn is this a great line.- 3,962 replies

Aren't we getting a Klaw figure in one of the new Mighty Micros? Either they make a custom hand for that (and then we can expect an actual minifigure in the near future, because it would be crazy to make a new element JUST for that), or it won't, and it's not worth getting a figure of anyway without that hand element. Comics Klaw I would like, just like a comics Zemo. MCU Klaue, like you said, is just a guy in a suit. -

Looking at the release schedule for next year, Ant Man and the Wasp is out in early July, which leaves room for a winter comics wave. I have to hope the only reason we didn't get one this year was that MCU sets stretched into November with Thor... There's that new Spidey cartoon, so I'd be surprised if Disney doesn't want some sets out to tie in with that? (Although then there's the question of if we get anything for Sony's Miles film...) -

Every time there's a new MM wave, I get bummed out by what a waste that line in. Every time I see the Lego Batman designs, I mourn for what could have been if they put those designers on MM instead of whoever actually is working on them. Because those are "wacky fun versions, for kids!" done well, and the MM are just... bad. -

He at least has the gauntlets and the vibro sleeves so there was something going on... but yeah, we badly need a real comics Shocker. -

I'd much rather they save that slot for someone else, and then give us a comics Klaw in a comics inspired set down the line. MCU Klaw is just kinda a dude... Although they didn't do that for Zemo, who had a similar situation, so who knows... -

Oh man, I hope not. We probably will because it'd be infinitely easier for Lego, but that's so boring to get a sight recolor of the main suit. The mask outfit is way cooler. Hell, even the shitless look with the scar pattern would make for a more interesting minifigure. Regardless of how the movie turns out (and I'm incredibly psyched, even if they're doing the "villain is an evil duplicate of the hero" thing AGAIN), the art design is so damn strong and so distinctive from everything else we've gotten Lego sets of, I'm going to be disappointed with all the stuff that didn't make it to minifigure form... -

Oh yeeeeeeah... I love the look of that mold, and was trying to think of any characters I could use it in a purist custom of, but completely overlooked that it'd work for Killmonger. Would love a custom mold for him, but that mold would work pretty well! -

Or maybe do a minifigure of Ant-Man with a microfig of Wasp in one set, and a minifigure of Wasp with a microfig of Ant-Man in the other? Let's you have both characters in both sets while not needing to repeat figures. -

Such a weird reversal from the 90s, when XMen were THE thing, and the Avengers were ehhhhh... Anyway, I can't see the Mk 1 getting a set for it (especially since what would the set be? The cave?), but I could see it being in a D2C Avengers facility as part of Tony's crafting station or something. I also feel like no kid is clamoring for the old, not good armor, but adult collectors want it, so putting it in a giant expensive set makes the most sense... -
