  1. This may be a dumb request, but would it be possible to get the pictures of the figures as a post as well as edited into the first post? Like looking at the photos, and get bummed when I miss a round.
  2. Y'know what I really want? Dora Milaje Battle Pack.
  3. Mental Organism Designed Only for being Kriminally underrated.
  4. I'm okay with the current Black Panther figure--would love an updated one with leg printing, but I'd be okay if they reused the old one. Mostly I want a Black Panther line for all the backup characters we could get--c'mon, Shuri and a whole bunch of Dora Milaje! I'm guessing we get just one $20 set with BP, the main villain (Klaw?) and a third character (hopefully a black woman, which Lego has a critical lack of good head options for). Although with the Thor Ragnarok line, maybe a larger 2 set line is an option?
  5. Looking at the Nexo Knights army packs going on sale made me want to make a hell army to be coming out of that Dr. Strange portal. And then digging around in that theme more and finding Moltor made me realize there was a pretty good base to build The Dread Dormammu around.
  6. Just finished building Detroit Steel. I know some people were complaining about it being built around the same base as the Hulkbuster, but... well, I kinda love that because that's TOTALLY Hammer Tech. The other nice thing about building Hammer Tech is not having to stress out about getting the stickers juuuust right. Canonically terrible construction to the rescue!
  7. See, in my mind, I do have a complete collection. Yeah, the SDCC characters are knock-off, but barring me finding a box full of money or something, I've learned to be okay with that. I love LEGO, I love Marvel, and collecting LEGO Marvel has brought me a lot of joy, but it's been useful to discover the upper bound of that. While I'd be annoyed if Squirrel Girl or Spider Gwen were used for SDCC instead of being in a mass market set, I'd be okay with it in that at least in a few months I'd be able to get a virtually identical minifigure from some guy in Poland. And I do wish there was an affordable way to get it direct from LEGO, but at least this way I can get the LEGO design--I've dipped my toe into custom figures, but avoid most of them because they generally look a bit off-model. Especially for female characters, where customizers seem to way over-do the waist curves... ANYWAY! Thoughts on the new Spider-Man sets: Overall, I like them individually, but am a bit bummed out that that's it for the line. And surprised, since Spider-Man seems like a big seller for LEGO, I was assuming they'd go a bit more all-out for a feature film--I know there's no evidence but I still kinda expect there to be a third surprise set because it's CRAZY that the Guardians of the Galaxy are getting a larger line than a Spider-Man film. But mostly I'm bummed about the lack of civilians--I was hoping we'd get a couple, and from what we've seen of Homecoming there was a good chance we'd get some regular black women heads which LEGO is crazy lacking. In terms of what we're actually getting: Didn't notice it myself, but cool they're updating the Spidey fig. Missed opportunity to have the robbers heads be double sided with masks. Wasn't loving the Vulture at first, but the closer shots of his helmet make me like it more. Don't mind at all that the wings are oversized, they work for me--and the Nexo Knight shield pattern is pretty cool. In general, I don't need any more vehicles in the Super Hero line, but that white van actually looks pretty cool to me? Small enough I can fit it into my tiny space easily, with a good play feature that also works for display. Gonna park that right outside the Brick Bank (...once I get the Brick Bank, that is).
  8. I collect all the Marvel Lego minifigures, all authentic... except the SDCC characters, where I but customized knock offs. It's a bit annoying to not be able to get those authentic, but... Given the choice of several thousand dollars and the satisfaction of knowing my toy collection is completely authentic, it was a pretty easy compromise to make.
  9. I like the Vulturea lot more on that close up. I think the helmet just looks a little weird from the side? Bummer we can't get all four robber masks. Although it will save me some $12 on brick link, which after a big order this weekend doesn't sound too bad...
  10. Seconding this. I think a lot of the dislike for the new mold comes from the first two models made with it being a Mighty Micro, and the ANAD helmet which translates weirdly to Lego. The Hammer helmet looks much better, since the addition of a mouth helps make the whole thing look balanced. Personally, I'm glad to have both to introduce some more variety into my Iron Legion. Hope they continue using the visor mold for the MCU, and the new mold for comics inspired armors.
  11. My personal suspicion is we'll see the old helmet for MCU sets, and the new one for comics / cartoon sets.
  12. I'm guessing it has to do with letting the Adaptoid adapt her powers...?
  13. So Detroit Steel looks way, way better than I was expecting. Excited for both the builds in there. Also, putting the Super Adaptoid helmet on the Space Iron Man body from this year gets you like 90% of the way to a Superior Iron Man figure. Still a lot of questions about the Ms. Marvel arms. I'm happy they tried something different for her (and just super excited to get an official Khamala fig in the first place!) but will be real curious to see some hands on how poseable those things actually are. Right now, if they're like how I think they are, gonna be great for kids to play with, but a nightmare to pose if you just want to display. Dunno how well super blasters work, but they don't seem to be building sets around that as a play feature, so it's already way better than Super Jumpers in my book. Also, excited about the prospects 2 Ragnarok sets bring. Surprised at 2 though, I sorta assume they either round up to 3 or just keep it at 1. Can't think of any other two-set lines before...
  14. Oh, okay, that was just the old prelim, then? That makes me feel better. Was going a bit nuts trying to find this leak that I couldn't find anywhere, but... whew, if it's just the prelim, then I already seen that.
  15. I don't know if anyone else saw this, but some guy over on the Lego Reddit has been swapping minifig heads with the new Finn head and it is pretty much the greatest. I kinda want to order 200 of those and change out all of my minifigs heads...
  16. How are we defining soon? Because on the cosmic scale, then... absolutely.
  17. Even then, this is at the very least a Medium Diorama... Very cool, either way.
  18. Dang. Well done!
  19. Oo. Speed Racer (didn't even know there were Speed Racer sets...) is a good start. Thanks!
  20. Hey everybody! Just finished watching Luke Cage, and reading the descriptions of the Colleen Wing fight scenes in the Iron Fist footage they showed at NYCC, I'm currently all kinds of amped up for some Daughters of the Dragon. Already have a custom Misty Knight ('cause she's the best), and would like to build a purist Collen Wing. And I figured I'd see if anyone here has any thoughts / suggestions, since y'all know what parts exist way, way better than I do. For those unfamiliar with the costume but are open to trying to help anyway: It's pretty basic (pretty much white on white on white), so it shouldn't be TOO difficult, but I'm hoping there's some pieces out there with some printing to keep it from being... y'know, just a blob of uniform white everything. Thanks!
  21. I'm not a huge fan of microscale, but that Lizard Man Attack at the end completely turned me around. Awesome job!
  22. I'm reserving final judgement until we see final images, but I didn't think the builds looked that bad for the Lola set? I mean, I never need another Lego jet (already got my Blackbird, thanks) and the Hulk cars are clearly aimed squarely at kids, but a Hulkbuster-y villain and finally getting Lola seems pretty good to me. At the very least, there's nothing immediately objectionable in this wave like the Spider-Tryke, or Spider-buggy, or Spider-Copter. ...granted my critical faculties are maybe a bit compromised by how excited I am to be getting Ms. Marvel. Also, meant to say this in the replies over at The Other Leaking Site Which Will Not Be Named where you said you were getting annoyed at people being megablocks to you for not leaking fast enough but... well, I forgot my password for over there. So doing it here instead: thanks for posting all that stuff. Sorry people were being megablocks to you, but I at least appreciated it.
  23. Well... to be fair, for their target demographic the Fantastic Four must be pretty obscure. The closest thing they've had to mainstream exposure in a decade was last year's horrible bomb of a film (which was noticeably also way kid unfriendly), and they're fairly silo'd off from the other main tentpole Marvel franchises... Which is a shame mainly in that I want a dang UCS Galactus. For real. Outside of any moderator requests to keep on topic, can we PLEASE just use the spoiler tags for spoilers? And I know there's some grey areas about what needs tags, but... c'mon guys, this is for a movie that's not going to be released for a year. Doesn't have a trailer out. This is CLEARLY something that should be tagged.
  24. Iiiinteresting. Super interested in this, and how it all connects. I would've suspected the flex tubes pieces are too rubbery to go into the torso. Did it look like her legs were regular legs, or possibility of the long Woody legs?
