  1. The Union Pacific SD60 instructions are now available on Brick Train Depot. There are also two new Hi-Cube boxcars available as well! New items will be available soon!!
  2. Most definitely and more aesthetically pleasing also, but more expensive is the negative aspect.
  3. This design won't work in LDD because of how the elements line up in the cab and the radiator section. Believe me, I tried and gave up and just moved on to MLCad. We can design decals for you and a parts list to upload to bricklink as well so you don't have to do any work except make a few mouse clicks.
  4. Outstanding!
  5. Did someone mention Soo Line? You can use our instructions and adapt them to any railroad of your choosing, see how easy it is! Soo Line SD60 Render by freezingvettes99, on Flickr
  6. You can always put the motor in a freight car, or two for that matter behind the locos. Or just have a Geep in the consist! It doesn't take much to keep a Lego train rolling. BNSF GP60M by freezingvettes99, on Flickr
  7. For all of you american railroad enthusiasts out there the EMD SD60 has to be one of the most iconic locomotives besides maybe the SD40-2. Brick Train Depot's next offering will be this very model in a variety of railroads. Here it is in Union Pacific Livery, we are working on finalizing the instructions and should have them on the site very soon. The radiator section and cab structure on this locomotive are very unique and should be an interesting and challenging build for anyone who purchases our instructions. Any feedback or comments are always welcome. 2018-08-03_10-18-16 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr 2018-08-03_10-18-28 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr 2018-08-03_10-18-39 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr 2018-08-03_10-18-53 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr 2018-08-03_10-19-12 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr 2018-08-03_10-19-21 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr
  8. Here is a Heritage SD70ACe in Frisco livery! I have always been partial to Frisco. This one would be easy to find parts for! I might as well just keep going and do the whole fleet of BN Heritage units huh? Frisco SD70ACe Render 1 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr Frisco SD70ACe Render 2 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr
  9. Here is the original design with Sand Green Instead of Light Green. I actually think I like this better and I also believe the Sand Green would look a little better in person. With the new Statue of Liberty Architecture set quite a number of pieces are now available that were not previously in Sand Green, I haven't checked yet for sure. 11. My father grew up in the upper midwest of the US and has always been a huge Northern Pacific fan so I decided to do a SD70ACe in Northern Pacific. Unfortunately, in this specific paint scheme, using Lego bricks it is impossible for this to work out due to the limited amount of bricks available in these colors so a render will have to do. I hope you enjoy! NP SD70ACe Render 1 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr NP SD70ACe Render 2 by freezingvettes99, on Flickr
  12. Glad we could be of service and help out a fellow Lego train hobbyist! If you need anything just let us know, decals should be arriving very soon.
  13. We are just trying to control things as best we can, obviously we know people will ultimately do whatever they wish and there is really no recourse for Brick Train Depot. We can at least politely ask, that way if someone decides to reproduce our products they know it's a bit shady and hopefully will at least give credit.
  14. We certainly appreciate all of your insight, there are no dumb questions here! We are by no means professionals and there might be better ways of doing things that we haven't thought of. We are just trying to provide awesome instructions of some really cool Lego train models that people might (hopefully) want to add to their layouts or collections. That's why I built most of the models I have. I learned from some of the best model builders and we just decided to share with the Lego train community.
  15. It would be an extremely vague price though because when the buyer inputs their own factors and chooses certain stores that can throw things way off. Also bricklink is an international commerce site with many types of currencies. It would be extremely hard to put price points on our site, if we did and then they were wrong would buyers be upset? Buyers can use their own parts inventory to build the models too, we are just including the BSX file for ease of use only as a service.
  16. I can totally understand your concern but when I bought all new bricks to build the above GE ET44C4 a couple of months back it was around $120. I even bought from all US sellers so I would receive the parts quickly. So if one doesn't care about new bricks I would assume that price could get cut down substantially. The best part about our system is you don't have to hunt for all the parts, it literally takes 5 minutes, if you would rather though a parts list is included with each instruction download. Thanks! We are planning to offer the locomotive instructions in various railroads as well very soon.
  17. I would like to invite the members of Eurobricks to check out our new website. bricktraindepot.com Brick Train Depot is a collaborative effort between several Eurobricks members including Legoman666, Swoofty, Wildchicken13 and myself. We wanted to offer high quality building instructions of modern locomotives and rolling stock with an easy way to upload a included parts file to bricklink to make ordering parts simple! We are also including professionally made custom decals for all of our models. We are just starting out and plan to keep adding new models soon, many have never been seen before with fun and innovative building techniques! So stay tuned. If you have questions or comments please let us know, we would love to hear from the community on how we could improve or what models you would like to see in the future. 18. That is truly a work of art! I could stare at it all day.
  19. That's a lot of night away from home! At least you can dream about Lego!
  20. I bought one on Bricklink as well, it's installed on my layout at the moment but if memory serves he used some sort of epoxy on the back of the plastic rail sections and soldered the rails just for the electric connection. It was almost as if Lego made it themselves, like they should have anyway!!
  21. Andy, You have way too much time on your hands my friend! I love the train sounds!!
  22. That is so amazing! I now feel that my own layout is subpar, I really need to get to work! I love your use of space as others have previously mentioned.
