  1. But then wouldn't the new Snowtrooper helmet have a placeholder of the old Snowtrooper helmet?
  2. Well that Stormtrooper has the same printing and mold as the normal ones so that leads me to believe that they may not be... The Stormtrooper from the show is HEAVILY stylized. If it was going to be changed for the show, then a placeholder helmet would be seen on the figure (like they're doing for the preliminary photos of the Snowtrooper). Now will this be the normality for the rest of the figures? Only time will tell. I sure hope they are normal!
  3. That B-Wing looks utterly fantastic; a definite step up since its last system scale release. I'm not so sure about the Phantom though, but official pictures of both the final product and the source material might convince me!
  4. I think the back could be a little longer to be proportionate with the front and the front is a bit too tall. Other than that, good work!
  5. Great review of a fine-looking set! Not to be a bother, but could you could post some close-ups of your MODS? They look fantastic.
  6. The Ponda Baba/Luke and Obi-Wan conflict in the Cantina is pretty iconic and key to the scene. Dr. Evazan and Wuher would be great to have and all but I don't really think he's as important as Ponda, so I agree with you there.
  7. There was one included in 2011's Wampa Cave and the 2013 Battle of Hoth. It hasn't even been a year... All I can say is that I hope that this will be as much of a substantial redesign as it sounds like it will be.
  8. I do and did before. And I would agree with you if you kept your argument factual and not opinion based. Just because you think a starfighter is boring doesn't mean LEGO shouldn't release it. I think the Royal Naboo Cruiser is boring and pretty uninspired, but I would be fine with a set for those who love its design. I do agree about the constant rehashes though, and it's especially apparent with the Snowspeeder. However, I believe that enough time has passed for both the Star Destroyer and B-Wing.
  9. Well, as others have pointed out, it's because there is a new generation of kids who are just getting into the films now and may not be able to pick up 2010's now extremely expensive AT-AT or the rare Battle of Hoth for the Snowspeeder. Personally, I haven't bought an AT-AT since the 2003 incarnation and a B-Wing since the one in 2000 and I can't wait for this wave. So these new re-releases are of fighters that I care about... and the sets you list are ones that you care about so... to each his own? I'm not sure why you even made the point that "nobody cares about the B-Wing;" it's all opinion. But, although I don't buy them, I agree that the new prequel waves could have more diversity; it seems that each wave revolves only around one battle (except for Episode I).
  10. The more that I think about it, I'm almost convinced that it will indeed be Ship. It's pretty iconic and, if they use the current comic version, has a neat design. Plus it would be a good way to include a large portion of the Guardians themselves (and possibly variants). I'm just glad we finally get a set that's over $50!
  11. One word: YES! Blue and yellow ship shares Star Lord's color scheme so his ship seems to be more and more plausible. But, of course, blue and yellow is also Nova's color scheme so who knows. I'm just glad that we're getting Groot, the only Guardian that I thought would be overlooked. Very intrigued and excited!
  12. Hi, may I have a theme fan tag as well? Thanks!
  13. My current pull-list is: Cataclysm: Ultimate's Last Stand Ultimate Spider-Man Daredevil Dexter Guardians of the Galaxy Hawkeye Sex Criminals The Star Wars Velvet The Walking Dead I'm really loving Velvet and Sex Criminals... They deserve a pick-up or a read in trade! The Star Wars is interesting purely to see how many elements of the prequels were in the original draft of Star Wars... I guess Lucas was a horrible writer since the start! The artwork is stunning though. Daredevil and Hawkeye are my favorite Marvel books right now. And Guardians of the Galaxy used to be phenomenal... Until all of the story stopped and it became an ongoing event tie-in. The recent Amazing Spider-Man miniseries was also quite good. Finally, The Walking Dead is pretty slow but apparently good things are coming according to Kirkman. I have confidence that I won't be disappointed.
  14. System scale is the term for normal minifigure based size (so to answer your question, no it is not different). Personally, I'd just wait until the new Snowspeeder comes out as it will be almost impossible to find the Battle of Hoth set at this point. Plus this version will actually include two pilots! What a concept
  15. I have to agree with everyone else and agree that Comedian is the definite winner! Ozymandias could use a torso with a bit more gold on it and a purple cape; he looks a bit too military for my taste. The rest are great considering they're purist. Great work!
  16. I noticed that Luke's silhouette features the hair that is now exclusively used for his Episode VI look. Is this a fair point to think that it won't be poncho, dagobah, or classic poster Luke? Or is this irrelevant to the actual, physical figure that will be included?
  17. I'm surprised that we haven't seen Deathstroke yet considering that DC is trying to give him a big popularity boost (probably in hopes of replicating Deadpool's fame, which is ironic because Deadpool was created as a parody of Deathstroke ). My guess is that he will be featured sooner or later...
  18. Though Prune Face would be an excellent to display with the Home One playset, I personally hope that it'll be Ten Numb to be completely honest. Also, it's great that we're getting a generic mechanic and a pilot!
  19. Personally, I'm fine with a smaller Sentinel if it means that we get a more substantial Blackbird. Would I love there to be two separate sets so that both could be done justice? Sure. Do I expect that happen? No.
  20. The disappearance of LEGO Star Wars would hit me pretty hard. It's extremely nostalgic for me-I remember how excited I was when the initial line was released in 1999! Flash forward 15 years and on a normal day you can find me avidly waiting for whatever preliminary news and pictures might surface for classic OT goodness.
  21. And a silver man riding on a flying surfboard isn't goofy? I think this X-Men set opens up a lot of doors for future loose movie tie-ins and a Fantastic Four set wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for next year!
  22. Such quality! I was afraid that once they were colored and printed that they wouldn't look so good but I can safely say that these look nearly identical to LEGO! I can't wait to see better pictures of these masterpieces.
  23. I was just excited as my speculation was mainly a wish list and most of it turned out to be true. If I came off as narcissistic I'm sorry.
  24. I am on FIRE! Predicted the Sentinel with cowl Wolverine variant and the Blackbird in the Future Superheroes Sets topic and, in the Future Star Wars Sets topic, the Imperial Star Destroyer and the B-Wing! The Sentinel does look a little bleh, but I'm sure it'll all be sorted out when the final product surfaces. A great year for LEGO Marvel indeed!
  25. So a Bea Arthur or Diahann Carroll figure? I imagine it'll be a relatively famous player from the originals given LEGO's history and the recent OT push by Disney.
