  1. This is spot-on! I always love your MOCS based off of the Kenner toys. Do you have any pictures of the interior and cockpit?
  2. Just a small point, but the new renders look to be from the same source as the newly leaked Star Wars prelims. Comparing the Star Wars renders with the images from the retailer catalog, someone on the forum made the point that these renders are more preliminary than the pictures seen by those with the retailer catalog. What I'm trying to say is that for those who think these sets look horrible and are disappointed that they didn't live up to what was described earlier, we're looking at earlier versions! There is still hope!
  3. Well it looks like the speeder has one of the new launchers built into the front and the STAP is on a stand with an upside-down 2x2 tile on it. So maybe you're supposed to aim the cannon at the STAP, fire it, knock it over, and... win...? Neat concept. It's fun for kids (probably) and can be easily ignored by those who DON'T want to aim, fire, or win.
  4. I love the decals, especially Coulson. Great job! But... what? Skye and Ward have much more dimension than Fitz/Simmons...
  5. Ok, my bad! Sorry I was going off of the grainy pictures released a couple months ago.
  6. I don't see what you guys are talking about... All I see is a black (or light bley, depending on the set) tube with a little indintion to put your fingernail in to launch the stud at the end... To me it looks nothing like the DC-15 blaster. Am I crazy?
  7. Oh! Let's revise mine a bit to: Jundland Wastes Encounter ($50): Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, C3PO, R2D2, Tusken Raider. Includes Luke's Landspeeder and Ben's desert hut with (fairly) detailed interior.
  8. I hope you're right! My LEGO OT fill doesn't look to be satisfied with the 2014 wave... I know we've already seen an excellent recent rendition of the main bulk of this hypothetical set, but this could be a possibility: Ambush in the Jundland Wastes ($25)-Luke Skywalker (Tatooine), Obi-Wan, R2-D2, Tusken Raider. Includes Luke's Landspeeder.
  9. Hm. I'm torn right now. On the one hand, this is extremely disappointing given Marvel's large universe of heroes and LEGO seems to only focus on a few. But, on the other hand, this wave bodes extremely well for villains, something lacking in the LEGO Marvel sets thus far. All we can do is wait and hope for the best.
  10. I've seemed to have solved it. For around 10 minutes I held the back of the speeder on the ground so the ski wouldn't twist back into the awkward position. Low and behold, no problems anymore! If it decides to act up again I'll take some pictures.
  11. Hi everyone, I have been experiencing problems with the Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battlepack, specifically the main feature of the set: the speeder bike (Note: I'm using the Bricklink part numbers). Whenever part 2555, the modified black 1x1 tile with upright clip is placed on part 30187e, the reddish-brown motorcycle chassis, instead of staying put at whatever degree angle it is at, it locks to a 225 degree angle. This issue only effects one side of the motorcycle chassis. It is especially problematic when it is displayed, as it is always leaning to one side as a result because the ski attached to the clip won't lie flat on the ground and is constantly sloped in a downward position. I already tried replacing the clip; it doesn't help. So the problem must be with the motorcycle chassis. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice would be appreciated!
  12. That is true. An OT set with R2 is sure to come soon! ...Right?
  13. I highly doubt that LEGO is really spacing out their capital ships or even takes into account the difference between a frigate and a capital ship.
  14. Spider-Man doesn't necessarily mean USM... could one or two of those be based off of ASM2?
  15. That new R2 is beautiful! I may actually buy the Jedi Starfighter for it, which would be my first PT set in years!
  16. I don't think there's been an ISD since 2006... Did I miss something?

  18. I wonder if the sets we are assuming are "Avengers: Assemble" and "Ultimate Spider-Man" are actually sets based off the videogame. Think about it, Marvel has been promoting this game like crazy. Variant comic covers, constant advertisements in the comics, etc. I wonder if they would go as far as to commission a few sets based off the game. Just a theory.
  19. I don't think we'll be seeing a large scale Cloud City because LEGO is trying to push sales for the Ewok Village. They tend not to release two huge playsets at the same time in fear of competing with themselves.
  20. A UCS Slave I could be really great. A nice feature to include in my opinion would be a wing lock feature (so that they aren't subject to gravity). I also agree that it should be minifigure scaled.
  21. I bought myself some early birthday presents. I found these sets for $5 each: 9674 Naboo Starfighter and Naboo 9676 TIE Interceptor and Death Star 9678 Twin-Pod Cloud Car and Bespin 9679 AT-ST and Endor 75008 TIE Bomber and Asteroid Field and, for $90 SEALED: 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser
  22. Well in '04, there were some OT anniversary sets that made a sort of mock line of 5th anniversary sets. It's not totally out of the question that we could get something during the summer!
  23. Not to go too off topic, but I doubt that he will show up in any more films in the near future. Audiences who watch the films don't necessarily watch the TV show, so they'd be mighty confused on his return. Also, I think much of the long term storyline of Agents of SHIELD will deal with Coulson's return, so it couldn't be given a one sentence explanation in an upcoming movie. Retailer exclusive sounds plausible though! Back on topic, for Guardians of the Galaxy, I'd like to see this (but I doubt it will be released seeing as how small the sets in this theme usually are): Star-Lord's Ship [whichever version they decide] ($70-100): Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Groot (in pot).
  24. Build and then display. I display relevant sets together (like all recent Hoth sets, all recent Endor sets, 1999-2001 Classic Star Wars) for a while, rotate the displays every two months, and store the sets I am not currently displaying. Some of the more impressive models are exempt from the display cycle, such as the 10188 Death Star and 10144 Sandcrawler. I use to tear down smaller sets for MOCs, but I'm currently holding an inventory of all incomplete sets to reverse that.
  25. The chances of that happening are actually pretty high, seeing as they made sure to include a unique variant of the turtles in each set last year. What else could they possibly do if they continued this trend?
