Wow! Just noticed looking at the police gunship on Flickr that CW post season 3 Anakin has had a complete redo since the 2011 version. Now the tunic is far more detailed and shows more of Anakin's flesh! Plus the robe continues on the legs. I always felt the 2011 one was a bit simple due to the simplicity of the design and lack of leg printing. Glad to see we have a proper CW accurate season 3-6 Anakin. I was on the fence about adding this set to my list of priorities but this looks like a great set minifigure wise for me as I don't have an ahsoka and shock troopers are always cool and the helmet design is nicely accurate.

Spoilers for those who haven't seen the lost missions may follow.... £39.99 Duel for the future: Includes Yoda (battle damaged clothing), CW sidious ( flesh double sided head one with a cruel grin and one with a grimace both sides have red eyes), Exclusive Dooku (Episode 13 variant with silver printing no cape and detailed tunic printing and Anakin skywalker (double sided head with look of anger on one side), Captain rex and artoo deetoo The set consists of yoda's star fighter, a half enclosed industrial tower structure with an interior with sith statues and an altar. There is also a door which leads out onto a raised catwalk with space for duelling. Play features include blue light brick for the sith altar, collapsing catwalk features and a flip feature to signify someone being blasted by dooku's lightning. Yoda's Starfighter includes interior for yoda and the new long missiles that are in the 2014 sets. Would be a nice set to finish the line in style with the much wanted sidious and some cool new variants for other characters. Wish lego had done this as a surprise exclusive for summer like palpatine's arrest had been or at least a ROTS yoda vs. sidious. Who knows it would be nice if they did.
-
After seeing season 6 of clone wars its such a shame they have never made the sidious from season 5/6. The design is awesome and its actually the same outfit from the yoda vs sidious battle in ROTS. That is the only thing the 2014 waves are missing: A Yoda vs. Sidious set (CW or ROTS). There was so much potential characters left for Lego to make from CW. Its a shame Disney had to cancel it. Two of the arcs from the lost missions are questionably the best of the 6 seasons. So much wasted potential. Hopefully rebels won't be terrible and we'll get some good sets over the next few years.

The Daryl the one in the first film blu ray release was based on a scene only in the extended cut involving Bilbo going to the market whilst trying to avoid Gandalf. If memory serves he was paranoid that Gandalf would return to try to convince him again.

I know it is exceedingly late, but I don't believe I ever formally introduced myself on here! Hello my name is Callum and I am currently in my 18th year of life! I am part of many fandoms that include but are not limited to: Doctor Who, Marvel, DC, LOTR/HOBBIT, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Sherlock. I am a creative media production (film and TV) student I enjoy making films and watching them, stop motion animation and I am a competition swimmer. In my spare time I collect Lego (I also state the obvious). I make animated films using Lego for my YouTube channel which is where my username comes from. My favourite themes are: Superheroes, The Hobbit, Ninjago, adventurer style themes, Indiana Jones, Star wars and harry potter. I have been a fan of Lego since a very young age and have very fond memories of Bionicle, Adventurers and Knight's Kingdom. So that's me!! I've made quite a few posts on here and I love the community aspect of the Lego fandom. Glad to have been here for the time I have on EB as everyone is so helpful and you can have some really interesting discussions! Here's to the future.

Ideas for New Action Themes
legofreak86 replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
My apologies! I'd forgotten I posted the first one! Just an idea but yes it is an implausible one at that. I am not familiar with fan fiction but I would guess this qualifies. Personally I'd like to see an adventurers theme with Jake Raines and the return of Lord sinister. Correct me If I'm wrong but I'm sure raines is related in some way to Johnny thunder. Maybe the theme could have a grey haired thunder who assists raines in solving the mysteries! Sets of 1930's car chases and temples and various monsters and explorers armed with revolvers, their courage, wit and a good right hook. It would possibly follow a different theme year by year, however maybe later in the storyline amset ra could return from pharaoh's quest. The lines per year could have their title end in quest. Like Mountain Quest or Samurai Quest and then the last year could be called the Final Quest and involve sinister and the monster villains from the years of the theme teaming up to take revenge. Locations could range from England, Shanghai, the Himalayas, the amazon, Hawaii, Japan, North America. I'd see it as The Mummy meets national treasure meets Indiana Jones. I'd certainly like an adventure theme and both the period of the pharaoh's quest story and the characters are perfect for the job! I've also noticed that there are a lot of calls for this theme on EB. Would be great if Lego are listening. -
Ideas for New Action Themes
legofreak86 replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
My idea: In the time of the knight’s kingdom Lord Vladek and jayko’s son (the leader of a new band of Knights in a final battle are both blasted by the power of the object they are fighting over which grants control over time and matter. The object backfires causing them to become unable to die and age slower than others. Fearing that vladek will never stop his crusade for power and control King jayko seals him inside an invincible enchanted coffin along with the object and then makes his son swear an oath that he and his three knights (descendants of the first three knights of knight’s kingdom) shall defend the coffin which he buries deep beneath his kingdom. In the future the tomb which holds the coffin is found by Borg industries scientists who take the discovery back to ninjago which is currently in the grasp of the overlord. Jayko’s son who is now an older man follows them back to Borg industries tower where vladek is freed by the power of the overlord who desires the orb’s power. Jayko jr tries to intervene however vladek takes the orb and opens a portal through space and time which he swears to use to unite the dark forces of the past and the future to take back the world and destroy his enemies once and for all. Jayko recruits the help of the decedents of the three knights who use modern tech and medieval weapons and sensei wu and his ninja. The sets would consist of all sorts of scenarios of the heroes teaming up with heroes both past and future to stop vladek from creating an army of villains to delay them so he can return to the future to harness the full power of the orb to deconstruct the world and then rebuild it as his own dark paradise. Sets could range from Knight’s kingdom style castle battles, adventurers, monster fighters style pursuits and sci fi agents, alien conquest style space battles. Each set would include well known previous heroes from action themes from the past and present. Also the big epic battle set would be vladek’s dark mega fortress rebuilt with both modern and castle aesthetics and would include about six heroes and six villains like the knight’s kingdom sets of old. -
I love the look of the "battle for ninjago city" From the brick show's video. I'm glad to see the overlord in a set and with his own body this time! Its good I think that jay, Lloyd and Zane all have new variants in that set as it makes the set more worth the price tag (£89.99 in the UK according to brickset) as for your money you get a very large detailed monastery, the spider mech thing a zip line, a gate, a glider and a decent sized tree. On top of that you get three new ninja variants, a new samurai X, three nindroids and the first ever Lego overlord!! I have only just started buying ninjago as I got my first ninjago set "the temple of light" on Tuesday but since I got Netflix I have watched from way of the ninja- art of the silent fist (had to watch rebooted online as is not on Netflix). As the Marvel/DC sets of the early months don't really interest me, I've switched to ninjago which seem more creative and less limited! Still got to catch up on the rest of the 2013 wave but then I'll move on to the 2014 stuff soon. I hope ninjago continues past 2014 as it is no mystery why its one of Lego's most successful themes! I haven't been so transfixed in getting all of the characters in a theme since the mask of light bionicle theme. Ninjago is a lot like bionicle story wise if you think about it. Overlord= Makuta evil obsessed with shadow. Golden Ninja=Takanuva toa of light,First spinjitsu master= Mata nui person who created world. Then the ninja have similar abilities and personas to the original toa team. Just something to ponder there.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I watched an episode or two of the nick animated series today on the TiVo box. I was surprised and impressed with how good it was. The backstory between shredder and splinter was surprisingly quite clever and the animation Is excellent. Shredder's fight with splinter was the best part of the episode! Very well animated! I swear I've heard shredder's voice actor before! Anyways got the lair a few days ago on impulse so I may have to get the dragon bike next week and the smallest set to get shredder, mike and don. Unless that shredder lair is going to go up on UK lego.com that is. -
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Splinter is grey like the 2003 cartoon!! Also shredder has some badass new armour and a new helmet by the look of it plus he appears to be black, silver and dark blue once again very reminiscent of the animated series of 2003! Maybe they are taking some inspiration from them. I will give this movie a chance. The transformers films are far from extraordinary filmmaking but the cgi is impressive and they are somewhat enjoyable if you like large scale battles. Besides I think turtles will be a bit less lets destroy a city and a bit more hand to hand combat ninja action with hopefully a decent story/script. The sets look great and I look forward to better photos and separate photos especially of shredder and splinter. I heard William fitchner is the shredder in this film but who is voicing/mo. capping splinter? Hopefully someone with a wise and recognisable voice. OH WAIT just read the IMDB page.... really?.... -
Well a lot of fans have complained before when characters have appeared without unique elements from their respected movies/comics. It appears Lego is trying to replicate what appears in the movies to the best of their ability. I mean the complaints about the use of the ADU gun are astronomical! By producing unique movie accurate accessories for the hobbit, lone ranger GOTG and MOS etc.. They are being more accurate to the movies and pleasing their fans. I'm very glad star lord is getting his own gun mold! I was one of those annoyed when we only got 3 chitauri and no proper weapons like the movie for them. Heck if they had made THOR 2 sets we would most likely have dark elf guns and asgardian armour/helmets plus new moulds for Malekith's helmet/hair and heimdall's sword/armour. Same with cap 2 we might've got modern pistols and maybe even WS'S bomb launcher thing. I hope avengers 2 has some good sets and if they appear in the movie new moulds.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
legofreak86 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
WOW! Love the look of that lair!!!! I got my first turtle set today from smyth's toys superstores! I got the 2013 lair set! I thinks its a great set with some really well designed minifigures and now its made me want to collect the remaining two turtles and the shredder. The quandry is which shredder is better the one in the bike or the one in the shredder lair escape. I like both but the colours of the lair escape one are awesome. Hope that comes to either uk toys rus or uk lego shop. -
I like the xmen set. The jet is sleek and the dark blue colour works nicely. The sentinel I think looks much better than in the prelim one. I'm glad to see storm, Cyclops and a new wolverine who all with new designs look great. I like the mask wolverine has and the fact it also comes with hair and the face is different from the 2012 one with more stubble perhaps to channel DOFP an older wolverine than the one in the first set. The new magneto is pretty nice too especially as it includes the widow's peak in white and the new torso is quite cool as well. Plus it looks as if he has a new face with a serious expression rather than the smile of 2012's. All in all an excellent new set and one I'll look forward to adding to owning! If I read the press release right It said this set was out in June which would tie in nicely with DOFP.

Magneto seems to have a new head with rather than his smile from 2012 on his face he has a determined expression and the face appears to be more based on the features of Ian Mckellen. If I'm not mistaken! It looks less cartoonish and more like an actual actor's face.

Does anyone else notice they are now printing Kenobi's brown robe down to the legs over his tunic rather than just using the cape.?
-
Good point moon_knight! A lot of first times for actors/voice actor/motion capture, figure representation this year especially with a lot of other franchises with actors making first and second and even third appearances.

Just realised this set is quite interesting minfigure significance wise as: It is lee pace's second minifigure appearance as he plays Ronan in this and Thranduil in the hobbit both of which have minifigures based on pace's film characters. It is also Chris Pratt's (star lord) second appearance in Lego as he voiced emmet In the Lego movie but this is the first figure of his physical appearance. Also the first time Zoe Saldana who recently played Lieutenant Ohura in star trek into darkness, has been represented in Lego as she plays gamora in the film. I wonder if Karen Gillan's von nebula will appear in any of the three sets as that would be the first Lego figure of her as well (despite the fact she has been made by CB as her now former doctor who companion Amy Pond.)

Wow these look pretty cool! I am not familiar with these characters but I must say I love the look of them and I certainly will watch the upcoming trailer and the film with great interest. Marvel have yet to disappoint me in phase 2 so I'm interested to see this film go off into space rather than just the world being threatened.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
legofreak86 replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I sure hope Vitruvius from the prologue is going to be in the dvd/blu ray. I really liked his wizard design and it'd be good so you can recreate the prologue once you have that figure which was a really good opening scene. Hope they'd include him in a polybag rather than built into dvd/blu ray case. So they could include have his prologue staff with him!- 2,626 replies

Smaug was dark red the brown effect was the lighting and colour grading as in the bit where you see him outside the mountain he is dark red.
-
WOW! If that is the Smaug we will see in oct then I'm sold! Hopefully they will have the finished model at NY toy fair. Anyone else notice how they have attached the claws to the wings? Genius! Can't wait to see the set version!

Unlike pirates of the Caribbean they are set not in history but in a fantasy world. Lets just face it in technical terms they are a licence that Lego has brought the rights to make sets from warner and they are movie based. Surely if it I based on a licensed movie they should be here Just my two pence on the subject.
-
I agree with the new banner thing as I think it should have a few of the newer license themes like Superheroes and The Hobbit as that is technically a licensed theme in the same respect POTC was. Maybe it could have the main hero from the most famous licensed themes side by side. So like batman in the middle, on either side of him iron man and Gandalf and then on the right next to Gandalf, harry potter and MOS superman then on the other side next to iron man, Indiana Jones, Captain Jack Sparrow and the lone ranger. You could also have In huge from torso up looming behind them Loki, Voldemort and the Joker. Then in movie poster dramatic font the whole eurobricks tagline in the very middle of the banner.
