  1. https://www.amazon.de/Lego-Star-Wars-75531-Konstruktionsspiel/dp/B06X3RZDNH/ref=pd_sbs_21_7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8EKNQ42PXH0D2QTT6EDX Even though it probably wouldn't be too difficult to modify the figure, it's nice to see that the official set has a way to switch between the Stormtrooper Commander and a regular one. The pauldron is easily removable and instructions are provided to rebuild the weapon. I'm definitely getting two of these. Pics for the other summer sets and the backs of their boxes are also up on the site. Too bad the stand is not removable from the Speeder bike, but it's still very nice.
  2. I guess it was a bit hypocritical to call minifigures approximations and then criticize the fact that she uses a piece made to resemble her species, but I'm still disappointed by the lack of a new mould. The approximation thing was more about the squarish style of the figs in general. Han Solo got a new and more accurate mold for his hair and it looks great on him, more realistic but still stylized enough. You can't really compare something major like the wrong lightsaber colour with the omission of detail on a tiny blaster piece though. A more valid comparison would be Solo's silver blaster tip and the black pieces and buttons on a lightsaber hilt. Also, about the headpiece, I remember having a discussion about this before the fig was revealed, so I looked it up and you said this:
  3. I would have voted for Ahsoka if she actually got a new head piece mould. The rest of the figure looks fantastic and very detailed but that Shaak Ti piece is completely inappropriate for her. Also, her lightsabers should've been trans-clear. I'm voting for Han Solo. With that new hairpiece, he's pretty much perfect. The only thing that could possibly be added to him is dual-moulded legs for his boots and maybe side leg printing for those stripes on his pants (though that last part is kinda optional, as a Lego figure is more of an approximation then a replica of course).
  4. The clones have the wrong skin color, are missing their helmets, and are relatively light on detail. Especially Rex is missing some arm printing, and he doesn't really have any of his characteristic blue color. Rebels Vader is another nice addition, for Rebels fans and OT fans (as his torso is unique in having the ANH details). I don't like the new helmet mold that much anymore. Its functionality is nice, but it just looks off. The comically styled old helmet actually looks more serious to me. Also, they skimp out on heads a lot, and the re-use of this particular 'redemption' head is completely inappropriate for the Rebels time period. Death Star Trooper is a nice one to get, but nothing special. I wanna say Boba's my favorite, but this particular 2016 version is just a downgrade of the 2015 version. So I'm gonna go with the Duros Really nice figure. Very detailed and doesn't need any dual molding, so since they're refusing to use dual-molding in SW sets he isn't missing something crucial. The reconfigurability of the torso's and legs in that particular BP is awesome, and this figure is also very versatile. I also love the jetpack.
  5. The tan technic pins are used to reconfigure the corridors. You can attach them to each other like on the box, in a T-shape. It is also possible to make one long corridor. You can basically attach the 'gate' ends of the sections to each other, or such a gate can be placed perpendicular to a corridor (though one of the two sections has the yellow door to which nothing can attach). The Rathtar containment box can fit on any of the four sides of a corridor (again, not at the yellow door), but it uses clips at the very base of the structure instead of the technic pin system. The little built up sections under the corridors and between the supports have a dual purpose, as they are used to hold the clips and they also represent the crawlspace where Rey and Finn were, which I really like. It is also possible to connect two of the sets, in the box art configuration, to each other. It'll create a square corridor. Of course, when buying multiples of the set you can create all kinds of unique shapes.
  6. Super Tank with Poggle, new Tactical Droid and 2 droid pilots. Eta-class Shuttle with updated S3 Anakin and Obi-Wan, Father, Daughter and Son with bigfigs/animal moulds of the Daughter's and Son's alternative forms. Includes Jedi Jumpspeeder. Citadel BP (Separatists) with 2 red security droids, 2 Lola Sayu-themed Commando Droids and a brick-built Crab Droid. Umbaran Starfighter with ARC Trooper Fives, Hardcase, Jesse and an updated Umbaran Soldier. Tecora with Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka and Rex in disguises and Darts D'Narr and a Zygerrian. Perhaps with a brick-built Blixus and cages with birds. This will probably never happen though. Hound's Tooth with bald CW Boba with helmet, CW Bossk, CW Dengar, Bounty Hunter Ventress, Latts Razzi and C-21 Highsinger. Also very unlikely. Ahsoka's Jedi Interceptor (Eta-2) with updated S3 Ahsoka, R7-A7 and BH Ventress with helmet (helmet and lightsabers can be added to a Barriss minifig from another possible new set). Jedi Temple… CW or PT themed but it just has to happen. Perhaps UCS. Some kind of Separatist capital ship besides the Malevolence would be nice.
  7. I think the female torso shell would work really well for a Rebels Ahsoka, as the mold itself looks to be representing fabric around the waist and armor around the chest. I doubt we'll be seeing any constraction figures from animated series any time soon, they haven't even covered the original 6 films (pun not intended) well enough. I'm getting a little tired of the upper leg panel. It doesn't even look right from the front (around the hip and the leg's too thin) and the grey bones are always exposed from the inner sides. The old method of using a 6M shell was far better. Even the exposed back didn't look that terrible with an added weapon holster. The continued use of the swivel joints in the upper arms also bothers me. It restricts motion compared to using a regular ball joint there and I've seen other people commenting on that as well. They started out with it on sets that had heavier weapons, but now they're constantly doing it (Scout Trooper is a good example). Combine that with all of the leg problems (justifying the outrageous prices by only making the legs ridicously long and disproportionate, the high ankles) I'd say star wars constraction is only going downhill since the first wave. In that wave the designers only seemed to care about accuracy over functions, and frankly I'd rather not have a gear sticking out of a human figure.
  8. Well I know they're holding back cause it saves them storage space and money, it just seems cheap. Lego is always cutting as many corners as possible. (Not to say they don't make great products.) I don't understand how Mega Bloks can have so many unique molds and printed parts. I know their part quality is a little inferior, but with every set targeted towards kids and adults they seem to go all the way, while Lego is holding back. I don't get why stickers should be 'part of the experience' in regular sets either. I always apply them well but it takes hours in my case and it's not exactly fun. Also, they don't last long.
  9. I get that people who don't like stickers can just leave them off and sacrifice detailing, but they could've at least printed the most crucial designs. As has been said before, the new canopy could've used prints just like their system x-wings have prints. Also, there are two of each panel with that grill detail, that could've been printed. Who knows, they might even be able to use it again in the future. The sticker on the 2x4 slope on the right wing is unacceptable as they tend to come off relatively quickly due to the odd texture of the part. Speaking of slopes, they did print those new console pieces, but why are they holding back on all of the others?
  10. Really nice that the guns actually angle inward slightly. The mechanism for the top air breaks seems fun too, but not too complicated or special of course. I love the overall shaping, the cockpit interior, the lower air breaks and the back section.
  11. There's no reason to discard that yet. The 2014 MTT came out of nowhere without any rumor predating it. I'm very hopeful this Starfighter is real.
  12. I don't have 10179 myself, it's just something I read a couple of times online. Owners of the set suggested that you should build it at the place where you are going to store it. Even if it's still solid enough for transportation, a hidden dedicated area for holding it on the new UCS Falcon would be nice (though I can't see them including one of those carrying handles).
  13. Another improvement on the UCS Falcon would be the ability to move it around in one piece. Really hoping for an interior too.
  14. I guess the FO stormie in the quadjumper is technically a new combination of parts, since it has the heavy gunner trooper torso from the 2016 BP and a backpack like the snowtroopers and the 2016 May the Fourth stormie.
