  1. BZPower has two images of the Stormtrooper and the Scout Trooper with Speederbike sets on their Twitter. I hope the other four are also from the previous six movies (or from Rebels, but I doubt that) before they shift focus to new stuff again when they release TLJ figures.
  2. If the TFA box art was very 2007-ish and that of TLJ is very 2009-ish, how big are the odds that the Episode 9 box art will be very 2011-ish? Obviously it's more a case of coincidence, but it would be really strange if the ep 9 art would actually be bluish. (In that case, don't forget to put some of those sweet clouds on there, LEGO.)
  3. At least there would be an official correct Thrawn minifig. But it would be really unfair if it was only available in North America. I highly doubt that is the case however. Even if they update it, it won't be a NA thing only I think. It is possible they might correct it like Kanan's hair in later Ghost releases, but I think Lego would rather try to sell the existing figure as Admiral and release a big $100 set with Grand Admiral Thrawn, adding another $20 on top of the price just for him.
  4. Looks like that FO Stormie is riding a mini FO Transporter as a sleigh. At first I thought the two-legged walker was an AT-DP, but it's probably an AT-ST. Weird that they put Unkar's thug on the mini Luggabeast instead of Teedo. It's only the first time TFA stuff appears in a calendar, yet there are also RO builds. Is that Imperial officer the one from the 2014 ISD? Not a lot of new stuff here in this calendar so far, a feeling which is amplified by a dumb Starkiller Base on the box art
  5. Yeah they should've moved the part where Obi-Wan hangs a quarter section to the left (closer to the ray shields) so that there would be more space for him to jump over Maul and cut him in half.
  6. Not really an issue that bothers me about the Phantom. I just noticed that in the show, the landing gear still tucks underneath the fuselage like on a regular Separatist Shuttle, instead of pointing forwards in a horizontal position like on the Lego model. When preliminary images came out, Chopper's droid socket was placed in the middle on the roof, but in the show it is on the right. I'm glad Lego slightly off-centered it on the final model, even if it's still kinda in the wrong place (unavoidable cause the whole ship is slightly scaled down).
  7. Really like the fact that the Y-wing finally has an accurate print for its cockpit. I also like the openings on the ends of the stripped-down engines, as those have always been closed in the past. I think I like the greebling on the back of the 2012 version more, but this new one has great greebling on the mid-section. I do think the almost square-ish cockpit of the last one was spot-on and this cockpit doesn't look as good around the yellow bits. I expected spring missiles in the wings but they aren't included, even though they are perfect for a Y-wing. The new bomb bay opening also looks a little weird, as you are now required to put the bombs in a 3-stud long opening that is offset to the right of the ship. The previous one was better integrated, though the bombs had a slight chance to fall back out. Great minifigs though.
  8. If it is indeed the same as the 2015 version, I'm very disappointed. They should've gotten rid of that aweful smiling face.
  9. The rebel hangar set is a preliminary name for the Lando set that was supposed to come out, the set numbers are the same. It has been listed for a while on Brickset. Strangely it is now apparently categorized as an ANH set and not a ROTJ set as it was before.
  10. Yeah really weird that the Y-wing made it to the microfighter line in the first place, as I thought the book provided us with an exclusive one so it opens up a slot for a different vehicle in this style. It was a good design at that scale though, so I understand the new one didn't change too much. I guess I'm going to get the new one too, as it'll probably come with an exclusive pilot. The Striker looks really weird and goofy as a microfighter. Can't make out too many details on Krennic's shuttle. Those BPs look great. I'm hoping that little walker is something from the movie as they've made more and more stuff from the canon instead of made-up vehicles. I doubt it though, as Hasbro made a similar AT-RT esque walker for their First Order lineup last year.
  11. The two-seater rebel Y-wings have two variants as well IIRC, one in which the gunner is behind the pilot and looking in the same direction, and another in which they are back to back, like in a snowspeeder. It'll be interesting to see if RO will bring such a variant into the canon, as it will make the set a lot more different from previous Y-wings as well. It could indeed explain the inclusion of yet another extra pilot, but I hope it's a two-seater in that case as well. Kinda weird that they keep including alternate pilots. You can already get an alternative one in the Y-wing microfighter.
  12. Yes I did see it there :) thanks for the reply.
  13. Does the Technic C-3PO and R2-D2 Collector set (#65081) come with the boxes of the original two sets or are all of the parts just thrown inside the collector set box?
  14. I think they released the Carbon Freezing Chamber just to get rid of the last Carbonite Han pieces. To be honest, they could've updated the last one with a new print as the face didn't match Han's most recent minifigure face.
  15. Since that bunker set is technically a leaked image... Yeah no prelims yet.
  16. So the three other buildable figures that were planned for 2016 but were pushed to 2017 are cancelled? Nice lineup for RO though.
  17. Those species are so humanoid that a minifig head is proper enough. Speaking of the Tusken, the Landspeeder will probably include the 2015 version, but I wonder if there will be subtle differences.
  18. Indeed. The Tusken Raider has a regular shaped head as well , just wrapped up in cloth. The old ones were perfect, and a figure like Unkar's Brute uses cloth printing on its head as well (though he is missing additional protrusions like the Tuskens, but the 2002 ones prove that printing is good enough).
  19. A moulded head would be really unnecessary. It is Lego after all, and Maul has a very humanoid head and face. 2015's Tusken Raider didn't need such a dedicated piece IMO.
  20. Too bad Duel of the Fates is so small, but the price point has been known for awhile. I just hoped to see some kind of representation of the walkways someday, but according to this new description they've chosen the perfect place and features to include in such a small set.
  21. Yeah an updated Landspeeder would only really be warranted if it came with a Bantha. Looks like I was right about the Phantom being the upgraded S2 version. I think it's nice, since a properly scaled Phantom is, well, proper, and it's nice to get the S2 upgrade before we get the S3 Seperatist Shuttle-esque ship.
  22. Yes, that face was shown in his video review.
  23. Will be really difficult to get them back with you though. I refuse to buy large sets when I'm on holiday in the US.
  24. I especially found the stickers to look very realistic on that picture. Also, it has been mentioned that the studs are highly processed, even when it's a picture. To me, the studs look very natural in these pictures, and are actually one of the key differences to look for when trying to figure out if it's a photo or CG. For instance, the box art of the BTTF DeLorean set contains a very jarring CG image of the car (I know it's been 3 years and that they got better at it, but compared to SW sets from 2013 it looks incredibly fake, as it does on its own).
