Lego Polar Xxpress 2013
Klaus-Dieter replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So have you seen the sets? I would really welcome it if it was more some sort of City subtheme than one of these classic action themes. If it was more town-like, I could well imagine: -big polar station -small outpost -big transport helicopter oder cargo plane -different sorts of snowmobiles An ice-breaker would be really cool - but I highly doubt that we'll get one since this would already be (even if it was designed small and only with the most important details) a too big set. Do you think that we even might get a husky ("new" dog mold in grey-white-black colors)? Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for these pictures! I must honestly say that series 8 is til now for me the less attractive series of all! The only minifigures I really like are the DJ and the Bavarian. Let's hope that the next series will be again more interesting. Klaus-Dieter -
Maybe a hint for that this rumored police special forces theme will really become true: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fbtbnet/756http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/public/style_images/Shared/rte_icons/email.png3091592/lightbox/ A new minifigure which will appear in the 2013 Marvel theme. But: The police officer which was used there in a set this year (and which is also shown in the list at http://www.fbtb.net/), did use the City police officer torso and got only fleesh face and hands. So could it possibly be that the SWAT torso will be used for regular City, too (but only with yellow hands and face)? If there was a museum in the City theme (and not as a CC styled building), I could only think of one being part of the special forces theme: robbery / burglary in the museum (that would make sense since another bank is imo excluded (we already got one last year)). TLG could include some jewels, gold weaponry and / or pictures in the museum, maybe a trap or a top light through which the burglars can get into the museum etc. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the picture of the Rancor Pit, just2good! It does really look awesome! :oh: It for sure will fit very well with this year's Jabba's Palace set. I really like it that TLG included another new minifigure and another Gamourrean Guard. It's nice that there's a gate included, too. It's a pity that TLG didn't design a bottom part for the tower, too, which could include the droid's room with IG-88 and Goink Droid and beneath a small prison cell. But you can't have everything ... The only thing I'm scepitcal about is how the tower then should stand solid since it will hang in the air. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for this information, Cwetqo! Although I must say that I'm very sceptical about this info you got is real (1. TLG informed us that they don't include weaponry in City sets, 2. the third year in series a police theme does sound unrealistic, 3. a museum sounds to be too much AFOL wish-like), I really hope that your source is real since these would surely be amazing sets! LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the link! Nevertheless I can't imagine that it will be that big - imagine how huge then the pit had to be. Although there won't be any other 2013 sets revealed (according to the press release), I hope that we'll get that (unofficial?) Endor set seen on the picture of some showcases inside the Lego factory. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for this information! A Rancor Pit - that does sound great! I personally never would have thought that we ever will get one. I guess the pit will be the same size like the palace main building. Maybe there's a even a small building to put under the tower, too - either a small prison or the droids' room. I can't imagine the Rancor to be completely up to scale with the real one. For minifigs: Luke for sure (but I bet with the DS 2 outfit, cloak and hood) and maybe the Rancor keeper and / or IG-88 and / or Goink Droid. Well, let's see. Luckily it's not too long til Saturday. Klaus-Dieter -
Hello everybody! Since now nearly all 2012 sets have been revealed, I thought it would be nice to speculate a bit about next year's sets. So here are my thoughts: City construction site (the last one was released back in 2009, so a new one is very supposable) and/or fire fighters; non-forest (back in 2010) and/or coast guard (back in 2008) and/or airport (back in 2010); but I really, really hope minimum for one new theme (zoo - please!!!) and more seperate sold cars (mulitcar for city cleaning, construction truck with traffic lights, truck with crane, ...) and minimum one new decent civilian building or shop Friends supermarket or grocery weekend cottage ice-cream parlor many small sets Winter Village candy shop or apothecary Lord of The Rings The Hobbit Ninjago Polar Expedition the question is whether it'll be a realistic theme - which then might even be counted as a City subtheme - or an action theme with e. g. ice bears transporting canons and ice monsters attacking the explorians and all that stuff Technic Creator Collectible Minifigures I hope for three more series new theme Western or Romans or no historical one because of LoTR and TH? Exclusives could be everything, but I do hope that much that we'll finally get a huge City Exclusive (mall or cargo center or ferry or pleasure cruiser)! Star Wars small Ewok Village or at least any other set with Ewoks (they are too iconic that Lego can't release them to the birthday of RotJ) A-Wing (since we already have red and green one, a blue or yellow one would be cool) TIE Interceptor Imperial Shuttle (please with gangway!) Bantha with Tusken Raiders I wouldn't expect more since we already got many OT sets this year Others What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for this information, grogall! According to this site 10229 seems to be called "10229 Winter Village Hut" and does cost converted in Euros 100,811 - so supposably 100 Euros / Dollars. I'm really excited what this set will include - it seems this year regrettably very late that we get precise information. I hope for a ski hut and a ski lift - that would be a dream and besides be the most supposable (I mean: the Winter Village is about a snwoy village located in a winter diorama - and skiing is always coming to your mind when you think about such a landscape). Let's hope that we get more detailed information or even better pics soon! Klaus-Dieter -
I think we haven't had yet an official picture of all contents of the advent calendar: http://www.brickshop.nl/lego/city/lego-4428-advent-calendar-2012-city.html Like last year's advent calendar this one, too, is only . There's nothing nice and exciting included. So I for sure won't buy it. 2008-2012 TLG released amazing advent calendars - but this time seems to be over. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the information and the pics! Jabba's Palace and the Skiff are a must-have for every real Lego OT fan! Apart from that at - at least at one side - walls are missing, Palpatine's Arrest does really look amazing! It's a pity that I decided to only buy OT sets (but more is absolutely not possible)! Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you all very much for the information and pics! The park garage looks really good. Only car doors are regrettably missing. The hospital is ok - but it's much too small. Apart from the 4x4 mining pick-up the mining sets look much too <insert that tiresome argument> and so I will - if any - only by the pick-up and possibly the loader with the digger. I already ordered the park garage and even built the vehicles. In the next days I'll build the garage itself. Then I'll do a short review (not a big one since I've got only very few time and I already opened the first bags without making pictures of them before). Klaus-Dieter

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for this information, Lego_Punk and welcome to EB! Although I'd like a new Xmas train (with PF elements included), I highly doubt that there will be one this year since in the Trains forum one of our very reliable sources wrote that there won't be any Trains set this year. If the info about a large Winter set is right, I hope - and even bet - that it will be a PF functioned ski lift (together with a house including the motor and an additional small cafe or other building). Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you all very much for the pictures and links! The City Park Garage looks . Which I don't like is that there is a small "garage" inside. And it's really a pity that there is no real gas station with small shop added - I was so much hoping for a small shops with a refridgerator with drinks and a newspaper stand. And it's a shame that all cars have no car doors. Which I really like is that the garage has three level, a car elevator, a car wash and a security office. The Hospital looks . Which I don't like is that it has only two floors and therefore doesn't include an operating room. The ambulance is useless since we already get one seperately and apart from that it regrettably doesn't have car doors. The heliport is much too small for the heli. Which I really like is the architectual design of the hospital and the interior. Klaus-Dieter

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular
Klaus-Dieter replied to forumreader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you all very much for the information, the pictures and the links! That hounted house does really look  ! If it had open backwalls and a decent interior, it may well be that I will buy it. But if it had closed backwalls (like the regular modular sets and Creator sets), I for sure won't buy it. Judging by the length of the building, I fear that it is a regular modular set since buildings with open backwalls are always shorter (apart from those which have hinges (like MVV or the gas station in Town Plan) - but the haunted house doesn't seem to have some). So let's see. But for sure is imo that this is not a starter set for a Halloween theme (like the Winter theme) since Halloween doesn't offer as many possibilities for sets like the Winter theme does. I hope that we'll get more information soon. But since this set surely won't be sold before fall, I highly doubt that we'll get more information and pictures before summer. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for these links, Chewk and lightningtiger! I must say that - apart from the smallest car (Test Drilling) - all these mining sets do absolutely not appeal to me. They look much too <insert that tiresome argument> - esp. the main set, namely the mine itself. I'm surprised how well this theme will really sell since there would be for sure other City subthemes like zoo, fun fair, safari, circus, ... which would surely be much more appealing to kids and even to us (I at least can speak for myself) than a mining theme. If TLG designed the mine more decent, it would have had potential - but not the way they finally did it. This is official LEGO MOC, number on truck is from Wind Turbine Transport 7747. I really hope that this isn't a MOC but an official set since I've been dreaming of a truck with loading platform and crane since years - and it does look that amazing! On the one hand I can't imagine any set where this truck could be included - apart from the Park Garage of which we haven't got any pics or detailed info. And that TLG uses a set number of a set produced only some years ago is strange. On the other hand all other vehicles shown on top of the sets demonstrated on the toy fair are official sets. So why should TLG add a MOC on top of only real sets?! That does imo make no sense. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

I don't know whether these have been mentioned before - but I don't think so: Beekeeper Torso: white jacket Legs: white pants Face: strained Headpiece: beekeeper helmet with big trans-clear visor Acessory: honeycomb, knife Medieval Fanfare Player Torso: yellow-light green with tower emblem Legs: yellow-light green pants Face: open mouth Headpiece: brown cap with yellow and light green feathers Accessory: golden fanfare, yellow-light green banner with tower emblem Boy With Doner Kebap Torso: light green T-shirt with red dragon sign, yellow arms Legs: small pants, upper part white-black checked, beneath part yellow (that it looks like if the boy wears white-black checked shorts) Face: enjoying Headpiece: blond surfer's hair Acessory: doner kebap Girl With Candyfloss Torso: white with T-shirt purple dragon sign, yellow arms Legs: small pants, upper part purple, beneath part yellow (that it looks like if the girl wears purple shorts) Face: enjoying Headpiece: light-blue baseball cap with white front with black dragon sign Acessory: candyfloss Lego Store Saleswoman Torso: black with Lego sign and yellow name plate Legs: blue pants Face: talking Headpiece: brown zoo keeper's hair Acessory: small City set, bag with Lego emblem Klaus-Dieter

These are all great entries! Many thanks to Rick for organizing this competition and respecet for these stunning entries! (Unluckily I had not time to join the competition - hopefully I can the next time.) Since the absolute majority of these MOCs is absolutely amazing, it was quite hard to finally decide which entries I give my vote - and this although Rick luckily offers us the chance to give five points to five differents persons! So here's my vote: 1. tatertots - 1 point 4. Dix - 1 point 17. dho7622u - 1 point 23. gcanik - 1 point 27. dede_la_fee - 1 point Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the links, pics and information, Brickfigurines, CaptainCRO and arima30! Jabba's Palace is indeed  ! The exterior as well as the interior and the minifigs look all very realistic. The only three things I don't like are that the entrance is again that small, that there's no prison cell and that the price - if informed correctly - will be usury. Klaus-Dieter -
Minifigures Series 8 Guessing Game
Klaus-Dieter replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oh, these are really good ideas, GeluNumber1! I completely forgot that TLG should indeed include some kids in the series. I mean: Lego is mainly for kids. So it's completely weird that in seven series of minifigures there's only one kid (red cape from series 7). Apart from that some more everyday minifigures would be great to offer a bit more variety in torso, hair and face design. Klaus-Dieter -
2012 Train 'Exclusive' - Rumours/Rumblings?
Klaus-Dieter replied to nesquik's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's a very interesting question, tom-cat! Since we have the set nummers for (supposably) all Exclusives this year - excluding the Winter set (if we get one) - I highly doubt that we'll see a train set this year. Imo we got enough trains in the last years. Which is now much more needed are some trackside structures: I'd so much like to get a modern engine shed, a huge train station with decent interior or even better a cargo center. We have been waiting for these sets since years - but TLG doesn't seem to hear us. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for this information, whung! Although I must admit that I'd have prefered a supermarket or a modern main street with hotel and Lego store, a mall or a pleasure cruiser, I even have to say that I like the idea of a park garage! I agree with you, Brickenhead-town-dweller, that this would be a good part to link the different levels. Nevertheless I highly doubt that TLG will include any ramps since they need a lot of place. It's right that there was that TRU poll some years ago and that we have regrettably not seen a truck stop in the meantime, lightningtiger. But since the set description says "City Garage" or "City Car Park" I'm very sure that this set won't be a truck stop but will be a re-design of the amazing Metro Park & Service Tower. I could well imagine it be like this: -90-120 Euros, supposably 100 Euros (like Public Transportation Center) -three storey big park garage with car elevator -small Octan gas station with small shop -maybe a car wash on the first level of the park garage -car, cabriolet and motorcycle -male Octan worker, female Octan worker, male car driver, female cabriolet driver, male motorcyclist -maybe the new blue bicycle (seen in one of the Friends summer sets) with a driver What do you think? Anyway I'm really excited how this set will look like! But since it seems to be a summer Exclusive, I won't await pictures appearing before June. Klaus-Dieter

That's a great and very interesting topic, BrickBucket! I fear that a new Castle theme would only bring back all the things we already have had several variations of (good castle, bad castle, outposts, some war machinery) and not things we are all waiting for which haven't been there for decades (a decent siege tower and some forestmen sets). So I personally hope that we'll get a decent Western theme in 2013. I have been waiting for this since a decade now. And even if it for sure included things many big Western fans of us already own, there could be a second wave with amazing civilian sets (like this year in the Castle theme) and of course some Exclusives. If there wasn't a new Western theme in 2013 - which would be really a shame - I at least hope for a non-fantasy Roman theme. Klaus-Dieter

Minifigures Series 8 Guessing Game
Klaus-Dieter replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's a great and very interesting topic, Itaria No Shintaku! I could well imagine that we'll get 1. centurion (the legionaire's helmet includes a hole - so there is imo a reason behind that, namely that you can put a feather inside) 2. female skier (we got male and female snowboarder, so it's likely that this will be the case with the skiers, too) 3. Middle Eastern knight (we have been waiting for a non-fleesh one since years) 4. male ice skater (same reason as 2.) 5. baker 6. some sort of monster or another horror/fantasy creation 7. violine player (we already have a violine case - although a violine supposably wouldn't fit inside) 8. man in lion suit 9. sheriff 10. medicine man And my further wishes (I don't know if we can await them) are 11. damsel of the castle with new medieval bonnet 12. Western banker with money bag 13. gardener with watering pan 14. gladiator with trident and net 15. white-red crusader 16. Caesar What do you think? Klaus-Dieter -
Hello everybody! I promised to show you my review on 4206 this evening. But at the moment I'm that busy at work that I don't have got any time to build the set. Nevertheless I at least took some photos of the box as a teaser. The box: As soon as I've got again more time, I'll post more pics in this topic. So sorry. Greetings Klaus-Dieter
