Sorry, I did not look at the Technic sets. I think there were some new sets, but didn't look at them. Tomorrow I will go to the same toy shop because I need some minifigures. Perhaps I'll have the chance to have again a look at the catalogue - if so, I'll tell you. But please keep further discussion in the Technic forum. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
He has a new torso but - if I remember correctly - the helmet for the B-Wing pilot is the old one. Yavin 4 Rebel is regrettably a generic one, no captain etc. Klaus-Dieter -
Thanks, cimddwc! That could be the case since I mean to remember that some small round 1x1 pieces were falling out of the concrete shoot on the picture. Sorry, I did only look at the City pics (very long) and Friends a bit and did run over the pages of the other themes. But if I remember right there could have been a mainly red but even a bit white Ferrari for Technic, very huge. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I had a look into the retailer's catalogue and have to mention something about the A-Wing pilot: He has a new helmet - that means the helmet is not new, but looks more like the regular Rebel helmet used in the X- and Y-Wings, but in grey with printing. And Ackbar is holding a trans-clear cup (whatever the sense behind this may be). Please don't ask me for more since I had only a look at the A-Wing (concerning SW). Klaus-Dieter -
Minifigures Series 9 Guessing Game
Klaus-Dieter replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Since I today had a look into the retailer's catalogue, I can at least confirm that series 9 exists. But regrettably there were only placeholders and no pictures of the minifigures. Since they were all yellow, I could well imagine that the color for series 9 will be yellow. Klaus-Dieter -
You're welcome, lightningtiger! I wouldn't count on a new service station. You're right that the garage does only fit in a big city. Nevertheless TLG would compete with itself if they released a new service station already next year. Plus I think that there are much more urgent sets and themes we'd like to get. The only chance I could see would be some sort of highway gas station with motel etc. But let's see. In February we at the latest will know - but I hope earlier. No. It does look similar to the one shown in one of the pictures of the Lego City Undercover game - but (if I remember right) it's not exactly the same. Only as information: The jeep shown earlier on this site is not included in any of the regular police sets. Til later. Klaus-Dieter

Correct. I only didn't remember the name right. Klaus-Dieter

Regrettably I don't remember, Hammerstein NWC. But I would more guess that no. Klaus-Dieter -

Edit by Pandora: High Res pictures added. Hello everybody, today I managed to have a look into the retailer's catalogue and here is which I remember: There are some small sets which all contain one or two animals in a small housing. Besides there will be many small sets which consist of a Friend and some scenery - I only remember a set looking very similar to the exclusive Rockband set this year, a karate set and a little magician show with a bunny. There's a swimming pool which is imo looking totally strange with some small house scenery with window shutters - all se does not fit together. The only set which seemed to look good to me is some sort of pet shop in the size similar to this year's cafe (and even its style is very similar, only one floor). But it doesn't seem to be a real pet shop, more some sort of like this year's beauty shop, but this time for animals. But apart from swimming pool and pet shop there are no big sets. More information I don't have since Friends in general doesn't interest me that much - only the sets I can use for regular City (like this year's cafe, beauty shop and house). Please don't ask me for taking pictures - this won't be possible - sorry. Klaus-Dieter

Today I finally managed to have a look into the retailer's catalogue. So here is which I remember: Police theme: 60006 Police Sqaud This set includes a police squad and a push cart with jewels. Minifigs are bandit and police officer. Imo a useless set since we now have really enough police squads. Plus which robber would carry his stolen jewels in a pushcart?! 60007 Police Chase This set includes a police motorbike, a ferrari looking like red sports cabriolet, a police "bar" (fence), spikes chain over the road and a police humvee (with window brick from the red cargo train engine, but in blue). The two cars are six studs wide, but don't include car doors. Minifigs are two police officers and a robber. ALthough the vehicles do regrettably not include car doors, they look amazing and the spikes chain over the road is a fantastic addition. 60008 Museum Break-In  This set includes a museum (16x16 baseplate, but interior is supposably only 6x16) with a big porch on two columns. Color of the building is tan, the roof is mostly grey. The building is built a bit superior than the baseplate - small stairs with a red carpet got to the entrance. The roof is built excellently - looking like the town hall's roof in 10184, but even better since it has decoration (on the left and the right site a grey microfigure) and there is a roof window consisting of two "solar panel" pieces (from the small rocket in the latest space port set). Inside the museum seems to include a blue jewel under glas and a golden dish. There are three vehicles included: a robber's van (looking like this year's ambulance, but shorter and in dark grey), a police van (looking like the security transport car in the bank set, but in white and blue color and without roller gates) and a small police helicopter (in the classic 90s Lego City style size) with light brick as spotlight. Minifigs are two robbers, pilot, police officer with bulletproof vest (only printed on torso) and cap and two police officers with bulletproof vest (only printed on torso) and black helmet with dark visor. Regrettably no weaponry, but that was to worry about. (But since these minifigs have helmets you can give them their weapons on your own.) This set is for sure the best set of the whole City winter wave (of regular sets - who know which Exclusives we'll get?) and without doubts one of the best City sets ever which you should really not miss getting! There are two new torsos: The robber's one and the one of the police officer with the bulletproof vest. Great Vehicles theme: Tow Truck This set inclued an orange colored tow truck with platform and car doors and a small dark-red car (regrettably without car doors). Minifigs are a worker and the woman with the grey torso with the pink scarf. I don't like the small car because of its missing car doors which makes the car looking really <insert that tiresome argument>. But the tow truck itstelf looks amazing! Fuel Tanker This set includes a classic looking like Octan fuel tanker which is smaller than the previous version. And there's even a small gas pump. Minifigure is - if I remember correctly - only an Octan worker. On the one hand this set looks really good. But on the other hand it's only a re-design of the previous version without any improvement or stunning new additional stuff. I personally would instead of it much more have liked to see something new - e. g. a TV van or an ice-cream van! Cement Mixer Truck This set inclued a cement mixer truck looking very similar like the previous version, but imo much better since it inclued car doors and a "gutter" (don't know the fitting expression) on it's back to let the cement coming down. Color is yellow and white. Included is a push cart. Minifigs are two construction workers (very similar to the ones in this year's truck). The cement mixer truck looks awesome! In Germany all these sets - and even the Fire sets - are planned for release in January, which really surprises me since this would mean all 1h City sets already in January and then nearly half a year nothing. About the fire sets I'll report today evening. So please be patient til then and don't send me any PMs. Please don't ask me for taking pics - that won't be possible - sorry. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this further information, Cwetqo! But a new tow truck with loading platform and car does sound interesting since TLG hasn't released one with this function before. And since I don't own any cement mixer truck, I like it that I'll have the chance to get one (esp. since the new one will hopefully include car doors which the previous one didn't). I really hope that we'll get preliminary pics soon! Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, Cwetqo and Iron Mac! In the CC styled buildings I'm - like always - not interesed. But more great vehicles and finally a burning house does sound amazing! I hope that this will be the case, The Blue Brick! But I personally fear that the house will be only a facade with some flames (the shop building in the latest construction site set did include a shop sign and brick built flowers, but no interior, too). In general I totally agree with you, LEGO Guy Bri! There are a lot of themes and sets which we would that much like to get, but don't get (a zoo theme, a mall, a cargo center - only to mention some). But this year - and supposably even in 2013 (at least judging from which I read hear) - TLG manages to release the regular really boring action sets as really interesting sets. They built them much more realistic (at least the majority), design them in different, never before seen styles (e. g. forest themed) and add more civilian and additional aspects to them which aren't "only" action (e. g. the trees and the grizzly in the forest themed fire and police sets this year). This is which I like. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this information, Mr. Elijah Timms and Cwetqo! That's really great news! It's great to hear that there'll be even a helicopter included - hopefully it'll be about the size of 3658. I wonder whether we'll get real SWAT men with burgonet, helmet and weaponry or only regular police officers (with the new torso already seen in the video game) without burgonet, helmet and weaponry. I completely agree with you, ChrisW! Looking into the history of Lego City buildings, I would guess that it's on the one hand not just a facade but on the other hand it doesn't include too much. Since there's a heist taking place, I could well imagine that on the one side of the museum is some sort of small security office with a computer on a desk and a chair and on the other side a juwel inside a big window case. Perhaps there's a window in the roof through which the burglars can rope down into the building. I wouldn't count on more than one floor (from the outside the town hall in 10184 is looking huge, but it has only one floor, too). What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for this information! A-Wing and Rancor Pit sound great, about the others I don't care (maybe the OT planet sets - but if TLG includes only generic minifigs I'm not interested in them, too, only if they did include new characters). Klaus-Dieter -
Minifigures Series 9 Guessing Game
Klaus-Dieter replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The minifigs I could well imagine in series 9 would be: -basketball player with basketball -male ice skater with ice skates -centurion with short sword and round buckler -sheriff with "Wanted" plate and gun -Wild West banker with money sack -female gardener with watering can -guy in lion costume For the other minifigs I don't know - apart from crime related and religious staff these could be anything. But I really hope that we'll get even some regular City themed minifigurs and finally some kids! What do you think? Klaus-Dieter -
REVIEW: 8833 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 8
Klaus-Dieter replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this great review, Whitefang! I must say that this series is imo average since there are some great minifigs but even many in which I'm not interested and some which could have been done better respectively including more exciting or better accessory (e. g. a alberd for the conquisitator, new ski sticks in the right size (the existing ones are much too small) and in a new color for the female skier, ...). My top three minifigs are: 1. Radio DJ 2. Cowgirl 3. Bavarian Til now series 4 is still the series I liked the most. Nevertheless I'm really excited to get news on and of course pics of the series 9 minifigs. Klaus-Dieter -
Here are three more minifigs I'd like to see: James Bond black vampyre minifig's hair face showing that he's on the watch black sack coat with white shirt and black bow tie black pants two pearl grey pistols (new mold) Female Vaudeville Dancer grapefruit colored wig looking like a pheasant massive painted face grapefruit colored gown, extra grapefruit colored cloth piece grapefruit colored fan Male Vaudeville Dancer black top hat singing black dress coat with white shirt and black bow tie, extra black cloth piece black pants black stick with round pearl grey stud on top Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the information! The Rancor Pit is a must-have! Whether I'll buy the A-Wing depends on whether it is in a new color and whether Han Solo has a new torso. If not, I'll pass this one. It's a pity that there aren't more OT sets in the winter wave. But on the other hand I can't complain about since we got many OT sets this year. I'm looking forward to get info on the summer sets - but that will for sure take til minimum October - I'm still hoping that we get a small but tall room to put beneath the entrance of Jabba's Palace (in order to that the tower and entrance don't hang in the air when the pit is connected to the palace). @ Hulk_Smash: Have you seen which color the A-Wing has and whether there is some additional stuff included in the set (transport vehicle / small control center / etc.)? Klaus-Dieter -
I can't think about any mining set where a crane could fit in. Plus the mining theme is a classic "only-one-wave-theme" which for sure won't see any additional sets (apart from that I anyway highly doubt that this low-quality mining theme will be successful). Either the rumor of an undercover theme is wrong (which wouldn't surprise me) and we will get a construction theme instead of which the crane will be part of. Or the spring wave will be a construction theme of which the crane will be part of. Or the crane will be a stand-alone set. Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new construction theme next year - in the past there was one every three years and the last one was in 2012. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for these pics, Bricksan! I'm not interestes in the Monster Fighters BP, but the Rockband set is really cool! I really like it that they put in a drumset. The only thing I don't like is that they used nearly the same torsos and exactly the same faces. Otherwise it's a great opportunity to add it to the CMF rockband minifigures and so have a whole band (only a mixer console is missing). Klaus-Dieter
-
Indeed! No. I check EB nearly every day, but in the last time I firstly was ill, then I had a lot to do at work and now I'm preparing for moving to a new home. But you can always count on my comment - at least anytime. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for the information and the pics, grogall! That cottage does look absolutely  ! This set is definately the best set of the Winter series so far (the post office was with its poor interior the worst one)! I personally prefer to pay more and therefore even get a decent interior like in this set than the other way round. Plus the Winter set is the only set for every year I must get - better I pass on other sets. Con: -no modern truck -boring overused torso used for the truck driver Pro: -eight minifigures -whole grandfamily -nice sled -excellent exterior design of cottage, shed and igloo -amazing interior details in the cottage, shed and igloo -even interior on the second floor -(not perfect but) good price performance ratio I can't await to get this set! It's a real must-have and a great addition to the Winter theme! Klaus-Dieter
-
Apart from the Ewok Village and the Genosian Arena this list sound very realistic to me, North Lego Star. Something other: Since TLG offers us Skiff, Jabba's Palace and Rancor Pit as some sort of modulars to put together, I would even not exclude that we - not next year but somewhen in the future - will get a Cloud City which consists of three (or more) modular sets, too: e. g. 1. Cloud Car, 2. level 1 (gangway, small prison, landing platform, dark room with breaking window), 3. level 2 (carbonite freezing chamber, lounge). What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for this information! If this info is right, I bet that we'll get an A-Wing. (That doesn't mean that I wouldn't like the other sets, too, in contrast: I don't need another A-Wing but an Ewok Village hasn't been done before and a new Yoda minifigure would be cool.) But here are the reasons: -Yoda's hut only itself without the X-Wing doesn't offer enough playability for the most kids. And the X-Wing has already been released this year, so there for sure will be no new one already next year. -Ewok Village can't offer enough action elements for kids (apart from perhaps a trap). -A-Wing therefore hasn't been released since 2009 and even not since 2006 as a regular, non-exclusive set. And it's one of the most iconic ships - esp. for episode VI of which there is the anniversary next year. Plus it's the only Rebel ship I can think of that could be released next year if TLG wants to release one (B-Wing is excluded since TLG released the UCS version of it this year). And the most kids seem to prefer vehicles over locations. So... I personally could well imagine TLG to release as OT Sets next year - apart from the amazing Rancor Pit - an A-Wing and a TIE Interceptor. Perhaps even an Imperial Shuttle (but I highly doubt that). And maybe we get even an OT Exclusive (This time please no UCS set!) - perhaps a Mos Eisley Cantina or a new Sandcrawler. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
