Thank you very much for the pics, Robert8! These are exactly my thoughts, too, lightningtiger! Is this set Playmobil or Lego?! I only ask because of the blocky and heavily oversized vehicles.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I though once more about this list and came to following result: 1st Creator Expert set = either a Town Plan style set (since there was one in 2008 although the City theme wasn't that popular than these days) or a large Creator model (famous building etc.) 2nd Creator Expert set = modular CC style building (since TLG sells one every year) 3rd Creator Expert set = Fairground set (since we get one every year) - I bet a rollercoaster 4th Creator Expert set = either a Ninjago set or a Castle set (since in the last time there has been a Castle or Ninjago Exclusive every three years (2009 Medieval Market Village - 2012 Kingdoms Joust - 2015 Temple of Airjitzu) 5th Creator Expert set = Winter Village set (since we get one every year) Since there'll be a whole new Trains theme in the City theme, I highly doubt that we'll get a Creator Expert train set the same year. Although I of course would like that very much. -
A new torso printing, I mean.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Klaus-Dieter replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you all very much for the news! Hm, a new cantina? Honestly I liked the last version very much. Which is missing much more, that are some additional buildings to create a Mos Eisley scenery. Btw: Over in the Modular Buildings topic, just_one posted that there mighr be a Cloud City. I'm really hoping for this to be true since it is since years overdue! If we got one, do you think that it will include minifigs only of the OT or even of the Solo movie? -
Very late this year, but better than never, here's some additional info: The Jet does have wheels and many stickers. For a very small set it looks realky cool. The heli in the Helicopter Transporter seems unluckily only to fit one pilot although the cockpit is that huge. The woman seems to have a new torso printing and has a cap with actually a new hairstyle on it. The Forest Vehicle has unluckily no saws etc. on the vehicle. The tractor is only there for catching already lying down trees. Imo a shame. The Winter Rescue Heli does regrettably have no hinge. But therefore there's a stretcher inside which is imo cool, too. You can only judge from preliminary character. But there the Mining theme looks pretty unspectacular and kiddish. The main color is yellow and the functional elements are red. The flagship set includes a black bear and some of the new rollercoaster elements (as a very small mining train). There's regrettably even less location than in the 2012 Mine. All sets include white glow in the dark spiders (the new one from the Jungle Exploration theme).

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for this information, just_one! I do think and do hope so, too. Since more than two modular buildings (CC style) is absolutely unrealistic. I mean: With 2017 offering only one civilian building (the bank) in the whole year, 2018 has to offer us some great civilian buildings in the City theme or / and as a 60th anniversary exclusive. -
Very late this year, but better than never, here comes some - bad - news: The “building bigger thinking“ sets are all only packs of bricks and no real sets (like many of us hoped). They seem to include a lot of special (but not neccessarily new) elements and will therefore be interesting for MOCers nevertheless. So it seems as if TLG planed to release real anniversary sets only as Exclusives. That's really a pity.

Thank you very much for bringing this topic to us, CopMike! Now, that's nice that TLG is asking us and so I hope some of my following wishes will be respected, too! I wish that TLG doesn't release so many standalone promos, but they should give us more giveaways which actually fit in size and style in already existing themes. Promos for Creator: - vegetables cart (in addition to the flower cart from some years ago) - sausages and meat cart (-"-) - cheese cart (-"-) - mechanical street organ - postman on bicycle - postman with handcart (for delivering letters) - ancient horseman statue (grey horse with grey minifig on grey stand with plate) - handcart with boy and girl Promos for the Winter Village theme: - Christmas decoration stand (minimum 4x8 base; in addition to the stands from the Winter Village Market) - candles and lampions stand (-"-) - hot chocolate stand (-"-) - hot chestnuts stand / cart (-"-) - water tower (in addition to the Winter Train) - coal filling station (-"-) - ancient car - ancient taxi Promos for City: - small ice-cream cart with vendor - taxi with taxi driver - small car with woman and shopping busket - sandbox and girl and bucket and small shovel - climbing frame and boy - small puppet theater with hand puppet player - flower bed and female gardener with watering can - vegetable patch and male gardener with shovel - police robot (for disarming) and a suitcase - secupring of evidence man and some crime stuff - fire fighter robot and a small fire - small quarterpipe with inliner guy - milking machine with cow - civilian tent with cycle and woman - doghouse and new dog (eihter in black or at the best a new mold like a poodle etc.) - aquarium and man - breakdown service car with worker - newspaper man with handcart (for delivering newspapers) - small birthday party with birthday cake, presents and the lucky birthday boy - small wedding scene with big wedding cake and the married couple - chemical accident with special suited firefighter and barrels - herdsman with sheep - telescope and scientist - skydiver with parachute - DJ with mixing desk - TV team consisting of camera man and reporter - segway police officer Promos for Castle: - medieval cart with vegetables and farmer - exclusive knight on horseback - ballista ((spring-loaded) shooter) with knight - small granstand (for knights' tournament) and medieval woman - tournament tent with weaponry and knight - chess playing knights - minnesinger with ancient guitar - fanfare player with fanfare with long flag Promos for Star Wars: - Mos Eisley Cantina visitor - Mos Eisley Cantina barkeeper - Biggs Darklighter (fleesh) - different Imperial Officers / Lieutenants / Sergeants / Directors / Commanders - Lobot (fleesh) Promos for Western: - outlaw with signpost and vulture - pony express rider with horse - medicine man with campfire and huge pot - water tower - handcart with Western farmer So, I think that's enough for some years now.

I completely agree with you, Robert8! There is only one problem: All these three sets would be located between 70 and 100 Euros. And I remember having read that the smallest set shall be around five til ten Euros. Consequently there could be maximum one large set like the ones you mention, but for sure not three. Maybe we're all wrong and the 60th anniversary sets turn out as special Classic sets.
-
Thank you all very much for the info so far! Hm, an anniversary set in the City theme makes sense since this theme still exists. But Space, Castle and Pirates? As Exclusives, yes. But for regular selling? In any case I hope that we will get updated versions of classic sets or at the best completely new sets with classic atmosphere. Re-releasing sets would imo be very disappointing.

Thank you very much for the press release, Rick! I have to say that this set is for sure not the best one of all WV sets so far, but all in all it's a very nice set which is worth buying it! Cons: - building looks a bit too small - both counters inside are too low - only five minifigs - no new torso - no waiting area with seats inside - not really an interior to the attic - no attic in the tower - no trackside structures like a water tower etc. (would have been much better than the senseless railway crossing) Pros: + finally a new WV building + fits very well in the WV and goes even very well with all previous WV buildings + corner building + great exterior design + ticket stand with possibility to give tickets from the in- to the outside + nice looking bus + detailed interior + coffee shop as nice interior addition + timetable in- and outside + canopied bench outside

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
I personally am forked about this year's WV set being a train station. On the one hand I'd more have liked to get another building. Since - although the WV started back in 2009 - there are only two shops so far. And much more buildings are needed for inside the WV around the Xmas tree. On the other hand I'm glad about a train station which will - supposably - go perfectly with last year's winter train. Because a modern train station (it's likely that there will be one in the 2018 City theme) would presumably not fit very well. Correct. I completely agree with you, Brick Dangerous. We have to take into consideration the price increase from the last WV building three years ago til now. So I't bet that the train station will be about the same size like the first three buildings in the WV (toy shop, bakery, post office). Supposably ticket boost and a small waiting area downstairs. And if we were very lucky, then some kind of small signal tower of a living- or bedroom upstairs. Of course there'll be some sort of small platform included. Plus maybe a small handcar (like in the train station from 2006) for more play value for kids. -
Thank you very much for this information, Sir von Lego! Although it was very likely that the Trains theme will get a new wave in 2018, it's great to get confirmation! There has already been an Arctic theme in 2014. But the last Harbor theme was back in 2011 and the Farm theme even back in 2009! So - indepedent of how good the new Arctic theme will be - I'm totally disappointed about TLG not offering us something which we haven't been seing for a very long while! I bet more on a rehash of the 2010 train sets - a regional train, an electric freight train and a train station. It would be very cool if we'd get a very big and more ancient style train station and even some more trackside structures like an engine shed etc. But I wouldn't count on this.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
According to Promobricks the set will be a train station and will cost around eighty Euros. -
Thank you very much for this information and the pic, Umbra-Manis! Oh no, not again! Why can't TLG offer us some small add-ons to the Winter Village like the amazing little sets they did as Xmas promos from 2012 to 2014?! So that's the last set in the series of Valentine's Day - Easter - Halloween - Thanksgiving - Xmas this year. I hate those 2x4 stalls - much, much too small and absolutely unrealistic. But everything other - esp. that well decorated Xmas tree with railings around - does look superb! Btw: Do you think that the girl's pants are the very new orange-yellow color, too?

Voltron & Ship in Bottle IDEAS approved
Klaus-Dieter replied to Hoth Rebel's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this information, Kevii23! That Votron thing is absolutely not my cup of tea. Aren't there already more than enough battle mechs in Ninjago and Nexo Knights?! But the Ship In A Bottle is the first Ideas set I might be interested in - since it does really look amazing! -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
According to Promobricks, VIPs will have early access to the new WV set in mid September (14./15.). So I think that the set should be revealed at the latest at the same time like the new UCS MF, namely in September the first. But since it isn't a licensed set, I would even not be surprised if it was revealed firstly one week before its VIP release date. -
Thank you very much for the links, Robert8! I dislike Halloween and so I'm not fascinated about the Halloween set, too. But the Thanksgiving set is really a beauty! The small tree as well as the vegetable patch look brilliant and so does the small cart, too! Not the minifigs, but the rest of the set can easily be used for a medieval or a Western diorama, too - very nice! So it for sure will make it into my collection.
-
Firstly now I noticed that there is no single boat in the Great Vehicles theme. And this although these are popular and although there has been minimum one boat in the Great Vehicles theme since 2014. Could this possibly mean that there - against my former predictions - will be some harbor sets in summer?

You're right. One minute ago I created one. (Although I thought that every member can create anew topic.)

Now here is a thread to discuss the rumors of the 2018 Creator sets. Let's hope that Sir von Lego will deliver us with some good news soon.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Since I don't read it on the first post: Promobricks reports that the 75192 UCS Millenium Falcon will be revealed at Force Friday on the first of September. I shall cost 800 Euros and consist of more than seven thousand bricks. And maybe it will be sold from the beginning of October on. I personally don't care. Firstly I dislike UCS sets. And secondly the price is utopian anyway. -
Very hard to say. Arts imo could be music or paintings. Since the kiosk presumably will be the smaller set, I more guess that the cafe will have a small music stage and in the kiosk there are paintings sold.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you very much for this information, finishlast! The question is: What does he understand under "big"? I agree with you, AFOLguy 1970, that a train station would make sense. I mean: If not this year, then it would take til the year after a next possible winter train to get a WV train station. But perhaps we are completely wrong and TLG won't release a train station but - due to "big" - some sort of small town place with two buildings? (That would be really cool!)
