  1. Thank you very much for that information, Hinckley! Yes, it's right, I focused too much on the crown and not on the hairstyle. But I didn't know that the crown could be put away. So that's something really different. Since the Hoth set is imo surely only a little until medium sized set and no large set and since this set shall include a Tauntaun I think it's very unlikely that a Leia minifig will be included in this set. It surely will be either some sort of big BP with some troopers or a set with Hoth Han and Hoth Luke. But since the Endor set surely will be a big set (I think that size and price class will be very similar to this year's AT-TE since it'll after my knowledge be no exclusive set) I could well imagine that it'll include Leia with this new hair piece. Yes, that might be well possible if TLG releases a Home 1 set - but I doubt that since it was planed to only release one of the three joices from the poll (and it's very obvious that Palpatine's Arrest will make it). But I personally hope for a Home 1 set of course, too. Klaus-Dieter
  2. Simply because it's not included in the excellent 10193 Medieval Market Village set (or am I wrong?) and because it's a very important accessory for a medieval town. Klaus-Dieter
  3. Yes, a medieval citizen Impulse set would be great, UsernameMDM! Great idea, Hinckley! As for the invalid I didn't think of something very spectacular: Perhaps a blindfold or a peg leg. Only a rhetorical question which should not discriminate against any person or any religion: When TLG is afraid of a church being too political then why have they released the Taj Mahal since it's the expression of a religion, too? I'd say that it'll depend of the actual price of the awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village, ptdapen. If this brilliant set is exactly sold for 100 Euros/USD, then it's 50 Euros/USD sheaper than the amazing 10184 Town Plan. That theoretically would mean that every customer has 50 Euros/USD left. So I could well think - and I of course hope, too - that there then will be one add-on for about 50 Euros/USD in early fall. But of course this is no guarantee. Perhaps TLG even wants first to wait and see how 10193 sells (which is in my eyes unneccessary since it surely will sell very well) and then decide whether they'll release an add-on or not. Consequently both is possible. And to the target groop: This set was especially designed for AFOLs - not for kids (which imo would like this set very much, too - it even includes two knights!). Klaus-Dieter
  4. That's very simple. I'll put the power plant on top if the tavern so that they can have electric light inside. Like I already mentioned before I highly doubt the price of 100 Euros, too. I'll firstly believe when I see this price in the set description on S@H in january because until then there is a long time where things can change (do only think about this year's "mistake" with the DS). Yes, it's simply the best Castle set ever! Klaus-Dieter
  5. Thank you, ImperialShadows! You're welcome! Yes, I'd like that, too. And I think that - if TLG hopefully releases an add-on - it'll be about half of the price and would contain only one house. Yes, a hangman and a gibbet would make a medieval city more realistic. But I, too, doubt that there'll be a gibbet and a hangman. I totally agree with you, Pencoin. Since 10193 is so a totally amazing set I bet that every add-on - never mind what it would be - will be a great set and a great addition to 10193. But I think that a stables is very unlickely (and would imo be unneccessary) since there's already a stables in 10193. Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for that information, Hinckley! I don't think so, Plural. I can only think of one scene where Leia wears her crown: The final scene of episode 4. All the unconfirmed sets we already know are Tantive 4, Endor playset and Hoth set with Tauntaun. Consequently this Princess Leia minifig with the crown must imo be included in another set which hasn't been mentioned yet - an exclusive set. Klaus-Dieter
  7. Done - great idea, the tax collector, zorro3999! Klaus-Dieter
  8. That's a great idea for a topic with poll, The Rancor! Since I'm a more classic orientated Castle fan I voted for A more detailed Crownie Watch Tower on It's Own, A medieval windmill and farm, Extra medieval village add-ons and More Impulse sets. The most I'd like to see some add-ons for this awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village . (I created a topic with poll where you can vote for and share your ideas for add-ons to this brilliant set. ) Since this 10193 Medieval Market Village is a so excellent set it would be really a shame if TLG wouldn't offer some add-ons for it so that you can create your own medieval City. But a medieval windmill and a farm sounds very promising to me, too. Plus a medieval farm would - like in the City theme - be absolutely amazing but even necessary (From where should all the knights and citizens get there food from after the market stands are empty?! ). A watchtower for the crownies which stands alone would be a perfect addition to a medieval city since there were always watchtowers in the cities of the Middle Age in order to watch the city itself but mainly the country around it and they were even necessary to sight enemies early enough. But this watchtower really should some without any fantasy creatures - then I'd buy it, too. More Impulse sets are always welcome since they're not expensive and allow you to get lots of minifigs. A medieval citizen Impulse set would absolutely amazing! Klaus-Dieter
  9. Hello everybody! Since The Rancor created a great topic about sets we'd like to see next year and even mentioned the possibility of add-ons for the brilliant 10193 Medieval Market Village I thought that it would surely be interesting for us as well as for TLG, too, if we like some add-ons to the awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village and if so which add-ons we here on EB would like. At the set ideas, the accessory ideas and the minifigure ideas you can choose for more than only one possibility. But please only vote for the possibilities you'd like the most because there won't be a significant result if every joice has about the same number of votes. So please vote! And if you've got additional ideas please share them with us. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you very much for that information, Hinckley! This inforamtion is for me very neutral since I don't like all this fantasy stuff in general - orcs as well as elves. To the two new minifigs: The Orcs Queen looks very gloomy but really good. I'll try to get her seperately since I surely won't buy an orcs castle. The Queen looks sweet. I think it's very likely that she'll be included in a possible Castle advent calendar next year. But I'll surely buy the Castle advent calendar next year (if there is one - but I bet that there'll be one) anyway. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thank you very much for all that pics and all the information, Hinckley! That's an absolutely amazing set! Big compliment to TLG - you've done an excellent job with this set! This is the set a lot of us - me of course included - have been waiting for years! So many details, such nice interior, so much nice accessory, two cows, a big tree, a horse, two knights, a blacksmith, a stable boy, an old man, a little boy and two women! :oh: The only things which I miss a bit are a saddle for the horse, a shovel and a brush for the stable and - like regrettably inexistent in the new (City) Farm sets next year, too - a hayfork. I must have this set! And I'll surely buy it. By the way: Does someone know the price in Euros for Europe? This year the price for the amazing 10184 Town Plan was 150 €/$. Consequently the price for this brilliant set should be 100 € like the 150 $ (US), too, shouldn't it? But I highly doubt that TLG will sell it for 100 Euros. When you compare Town Plan to this set you would come to following result: 10188:10193=2000pieces:1600pieces=150€/USD:120€/USD. And since oil prices rise very much I could well imagine that it goes up to 150 Euros. Plus it's three months until this awesome set will be released - so TLG can well change the price (since it'S not yet on their website to buy). But no question - I would of course like it the most for only 100 Euros since this would be the perfect price performance ratio! Klaus-Dieter
  12. You're welcome! And of course I'm very interested about which sets will make it to the winners, too. By the way: I think that most Lego (Pirates) fans like the Black Seas Barracuda of all Pirates sets until now the most. This was surely even TLG's reason to design the new awesome pirate ship for next year in a very similar style to it. I'd very much like to own this set, too, hollisbrick! Probably you have never seen it before since it was - like many other soccer sets - a Shell promo set. Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for this information, Wout! Oh no, again a CW set (it's surely the one which then will be shown on this LegoWorld in two weeks)! I hoped so much for an exclusive OT set in the beginning of 2009. Now OT fans surely have to wait minimum until August in order to get (despite from that silly (excuse me but ) redesign/rerelease of Darth Vader's TIE) some new OT sets. Klaus-Dieter
  14. That's a great idea for a new topic, FedericoTorres! So here are my favourites (I regrettably do only own about 1/2 of them) until now (there may be sets in the future which possibly may change this list): Space: 6339 Space Port Star Wars: 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer (I own) Town: 10188 Town Plan (I own) Pirates: 6285 Black Seas Barracuda (I own the newer S@H version) Arctic: 6575 Polar Base Aqua: Diving Expedition Explorer Adventures: 5978 Sphinx Secret Surprise Paradisa: 6416 Poolside Paradise (I own) Sports: 3314 Stadium Security Castle 6090 Royal Knight's Castle Western: 6765 Gold City Junction (I own) Thanks. Klaus-Dieter
  15. Since legomilk mentioned in the 2009 Picture and Rumor thread in the SW forum that there'll be some pics of a new exclusive SW set soon (when LegoWorld is taking place) I think that if TLG hopefully decided to release this amazing Wind turbine either yet this year or even in the beginning of next year for the public it'll be shown there, too (like last year with the awesome 10188 Town Plan of which we got pictures in the middle of October, too). So let's see. Klaus-Dieter
  16. I think so, Plutofish08! But apart from some pics of an exclusive SW set legomilk already mentioned I don't think that we'll see pics about more new sets when there is LegoWorld taking place - only more clearer pics. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for that great review, whitefang! I voted for Outstanding since this calendar includes a lot of very nice not-fire-police-and-construction-themed minifigs and a lot of lovely accessory. The only thing which I don't like is that the oven has no backwall - I mean, that's no oven, is it ?! The most I the train worker wit hthe pallet carrier, the girl with the snowman, the man with the snow mobile and the woman with the ice cream stand - they're simply ! EDIT: My thousandst post - I'm now count! Klaus-Dieter
  18. That's again a great and very interesting topic, TheBrickster! I voted for Outstanding since this topic gives you all information you can think about when thinking about this topic and it gives matter for an interesting and on fact based discussion. Great! For me the main aspects when I see a new set and think about whether to buy it or not are: 1. Price: E. g. the awesome 10188 Death Star has an excellent design, includes a lot of amazing details and playability and a lot of great minifigs. But the price is simply to high that I can afford to buy it. 2. Value: E. g. the amazing 10154 Town Plan (which I gladly own) has a very good price performance ratio when you compare it to other sets which cost 150 Euros. 3. Playability: Since I regrettably haven't as much time as in former times I regrettably play only very seldom with my Lego sets. So what I momentarily understand under playability are more things like lovely accessory, vehicles - but in principle that's playabitlity. 4. Design: For me a set shouldn't look too minimalist (ok, the new farm is - but I'll buy it anyway because it's really needed for my Lego City and because I don' think that we'll have to await many more farms in the nearer future) but it should even not be too detailed because then the classic "Lego feeling" disappears. Plus a very important thing is that houses have to include no backwalls but a very nice interior. 5. Integration: This is very important for me, too. So e. g. I don't buy CC styled buildings (even not the great 10185 Green Grocer which includes some interior) because they contain backwalls. And interior as well as no backwalls in houses is an absolutely must for me since they otherwise don't fit in my Lego collection. 6. Theme: E. g. next year's Pirates theme is simply brilliant (mainly the pirate ship looks awesome, very well deigned and has a very good price performance ratio) but since I don't collect Pirates (because of mainly money reaons but even of lack of room to store them) I - despite from the little Pirate Impulse set - won't buy these sets. 7. Visual Quality: I generally prefer the classic style over the "cool" style of the regular sold buildings in the last ten years. But the main aspect is for me that there should be some difference in design to the other sets. The best is if you can get (or at least own after a while) some houses which are different in design - modern as well as classic. 8. Minifigs: The selection and desgin of minifigs is very important, too. Mainly in the SW theme a new minifig can make me buying the set although I already own an older version of this set (which didn't include this minifig). In the City and Castle theme I'm supposably really a bit an old man since I overall prefer the "classic" minifig face over the "special" faces (fact only is that the "classic" face doesn't show any individual features and consequently can be used for a huge mass of minifigs - whereas having some minifigs with the same "special" face is sometimes a bit strange). New torsos are very welcomed, to. Plus the number of minifigs included in a set is very important. The more (new) minifigs, the better. (Here I detected a very strange and sad development in the City theme - apart from the exclusive sets the number of minifigs per set slank in the last years very much. ) That's it. Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you very much for this great review, cagri! I voted for Outstanding since there are four excellent minifigs included (jester, medieval maiden, witch and dwarf), two nice knights and a lot of nice and useful additional stuff (I don't care about the two skellies and the orc because I really don't like these fractions). The only thing of which I'm really disappointed is that there is no medieval market stand included in this set . Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you very much for translating, Eilif! I imagined something like that but I really wasn't sure. Welcome to EB, eeyore! On the one hand Dr. Brick is right: You could get really a lot of money for this set. On the other hand - if you plan to have children in the future - I wouldn't sell it. It's a very special and amazing set and your children surely would have a lot of fun to build it and then to play with it. Plus - if you change your mind - you can sell it at any point in the future, too. Often that's even better since prices of very exclusive sets rise the older they get (and when then the set is yet in the original box and not opened - you can really make more money with it than today). Klaus-Dieter
  21. Perhaps my last question was unclear. So here I want to clear it: Since I'm really not a very good English speaker I don't know what CopMike wants to say with his sentence I mean: His post must have had a sense - he surely didn't only post it to show us that pic. But (because of my bad English) I don't know in which direction I should interpret this sentence. Can you tell me what he meant, please? Do you mean that there was a picture of this brilliant set in Time magazine? Klaus-Dieter
  22. That's a very nice scene, NewRight! I really like the idea how you tried to design minifig scaled Lego shoes. Imo it looks very realistic! Funny shop scene! Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
  23. I'm glad to here that our American members are aible to get this set, too. Because it would be very unfair for those of you which live in America if you don't be aible to get this set since it's really nice set which contains some new great minifigs and a lot of nice additional stuff you can't find in the regular "Castle" sets. And since it seems that TLG is mainly focusing the American market with their fantasy area in the Castle theme it would imo be absurd to keep it back from the American Lego fans. Klaus-Dieter
  24. That's an amazing MOC, Erdbeereis1! I really it. It's so extremely detailed and shows a so lovely and calm atmosphere with the little lake, the little river, the waterfall, all the plants and the landscape in general. The most I like the little bridge. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter
