  1. I totally agree with you all, Captain Zuloo, LEGO Maniac JEM and hollisbrick! A zoo and a circus would be great new themes! And a theatre and a cruise ship would be awesome sets! Here some few additions what I'd like to see as new sets for the City theme: one or two old red clinker warehouses like them in the Speicherstadt (Old Warehouse District) in Hamburg a Van Carrier old factory/depot buildings Lego factory toy fair/general exhibiton office buildings museum big town hall parliamtent of Lego City the president of Lego City's residence bank/museum robbery action set (bank/museum, getaway car, police car, police men, robbers, high technology equipment for the robbers, ...) Thanks for reading! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Yesterday late evening I had a brainwave: Since 1. a minifig BP would (surely not only imo) be to unspectacular as a jubilee set (plus we will get two Impulse sets which make (perhaps) a minifig BP unnecssary) and since 2. the jubilee set seems to be a little set - but surely something special and since 3. I saw the pic of the new queen and since 4. it surely will be a set similar to a classic Castle set: King's Tournament a canopied tribune with two seats (for the king and the queen), a barrier, a beer barrel and a weapons stand including two horses with colorful saddlery, a lot of weaponry, a chicken and two golden tumblers minifigs: king, queen, two soldiers and two different knights on horseback I don't know how TLG would design the second knight on horseback since he 1. must not be a king's knight and 2. must not be a fantasy creature since this minifig then would destroy the whole (feeling of the) great "classic" set. But on the other hand TLG designed three new torsos for the excellent 10193 Medieval Market Village - so it surely wouldn't be a problem to design a new torso for the knight in the jubilee set, too. I really hope for a set like this one I described. That would be awesome, don't you agree?! But of course it could be something totally different - or the information might be even wrong, too (which I don't think). What do you think? Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for that , Lord Santos! Please excuse me that I'll firstly comment on this now. Ok, - that sounds really good! If the information of the garage is right (which I think) then we might get a huge set for about 70 Euros with a garage (hopefully with rolling gates), a car to repair, a little (hopefully bigger than the older versions and with some seats to sit inside), a , a worker, a citizen, a and a . That would be brilliant, don't you agree?! So let's hope! Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you all very much for your nice comments! Nice to hear that you liked it! Thank you very much, Dwarvenlord! I btw alreay presented two Western MOCs at EB - but that was before you joined EB: Wild West Fort Legoredo Outpost Wild West Hold-Up On The Governor But surely the official sets were/are much, much more better than these my MOCs! Klaus-Dieter
  5. I have a very special wish for a set which wouldn't really be new - but I'd really like to see a redesign of the awesome Castle set 6060 Knight's Challenge It does not necessarily need to include the original charecters - but undeads, trolls, orcs and all these other fantasy creatures would really destroy this excellent set and/or a redesign of this brilliant set. Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Talon Karrde and MoonCheese! I would really much have liked to include these things you mentioned, too, Talon Karrde! But LDD regrettably offers only a limited number of bricks - and molds like the cows are officially even not already released. So I wasn't able to include these things. And btw: Welcome to EB, Talon Karrade! Thank you very much, MoonCheese! I totally agree with you: Civilian stuff is the magic word! And yes: One or two medieval civilian sets per year would be - apart from very much in demand by me - the perfect number. At the best some add-ons for the awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village since they then would be a bit cheaper, too. Klaus-Dieter
  7. I don't think so, KimT. If this information is right (which I personally think) then we'll get a little set as jubilee set. Of course there's a big spectrum of what you understand under a little set: That might be from 10 until 50 Euros, I'd say. When I look at the catalogue of 1979 I can - apart from the Yellow Castle - see two sets: (which is the same as 677 from 1979) I personally think that both sets could be redesigned and sold as little sets. But it isn't said that the jubilee set is a redesign or rerelease of an already existing set. E. g. when you look at this year's awesome 10184 Town Plan in the City theme you can see that it's something totally different to the original set from 19??. Klaus-Dieter

Yeah, I saw that. To me it looks tan, maybe because the walls are tan, and i'm seeing too much of it. I have a suit to go with either colour though. Skinny Boy, I think it's white, too, since white would make more sense - but of course it could be tan, too. And yes, BlueBard, some mafia sets would be really nice! But regrettably I don't see it happen. But with the new hats and all the new bricks included in the City, IJ and Pirates theme TLG could well release some new Western sets - that would be ! But regrettably I don't see it happen, too. Klaus-Dieter
  9. Hello everybody! About two weeks ago I received the last set for the Western theme from Ebay - and so decided to show you my Wild West collection. I decided to don't show you my Indian sets, too, since I regrettably don't already own the Boulder Cliff Canyon. So I thought that I'll wait until I'll own it and then I'll show you some pics of my Indian Village, too. I thought that it would be interesting to know if you like(d) the Western sets from the years 1996/97 - so please vote! (The content of this poll are only the Western sets from 1996/97 - but not the Indian sets.) But know to my Legoredo: ________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ Hello, I'm Klaus-Dieter and I want to show you my Legoredo. So - if you want to - let's make a trip throught this lovely Western country! Let's start with a short view over my Legoredo: Fort Legoredo is a massive fort of the US army: At the moment some soldiers are with their canons, covered wagons and horses on their way to a battle in the farer West: When you make about a one day trip via horse from Fort Legoredo, you can find the gold mine. The miner's - finished with working - wanting to go home to Legoredo by the steam train: The Western train is stopping at the gold mine: Some soldiers are on their way to Legoredo to transport gold and weappons. So watch out for the robbers: When you move in the direction to Legoredo you can find a big dessert. In this dessert the frontier patrol is on its way to Legoredo: Having arrived at Legoredo let's see what's going on there: Some lumberjacks are returning from the woods: A man is nailing a "wanted" disk to the wall of the bank: A salesman is selling some stuff to somebody else: There are a lot of people on their way through Legoredo: And there is even a lot of work to do: Someone is cleaning the streets: A post man is delivering letters: A doctor is - with his ranger who conducted him to Legoredo - on his way to an ill person: A worker is waiting for the Western train in order to load the cargo: And the district major is leaving the sheriff's office after having had an important discussion about the security in Legoredo: This discussion was surely not unnecessary since some robbers are attacking the money coach: It's really funny that the old man can relax on his bench in front of the bank while the bank robbery is taking place: So it's surely a lot of work for the sheriff to keep the city silent. But not the sheriff, even other people have a lot to do: The general store's shop owner wants to sell an oil lamp: And the banker wants to convince his customer of some bonds: Luckily there is always some time where you haven't to work: Some soldiers are playing cards: The sheriff is drinking a cup of coffee: And some kids are playing: When you leave Legoredo in the other direction there's a big canyon: Some robber's built up their camp there and now are attacking the sheriff: And later even the sheriff's coach with the safe & co: So, that's it. I hope you liked it and I hope to see you soon - and until then the house building company Lego will have hopefully set up some more houses to make our town more atrractive for travelers and locals. Bye! ________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ If you want to see some few additional pics please visit this folder (when public) in my BS gallery. Some additional facts to my Legoredo town: It consists of all Lego Western sets of the years 1996/97 (or at least I really don't know that one is missing) which luckily are - apart from that they are somtimes a bit dusty - in a very good condition and 100 % complete ( ). The Classic Train is no real Western set - but it looks really Western-like so I decided to use it for my Western sets. I added some additional stuff and some minifigs which partly are official and partly are put together of official parts but weren't included in some sets before. This is mainly even the case with the minifigs where I used some Pirates and Adventures torsos and some of the great custom torso designs Apache designed some time ago. Commets are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  10. I don't know if this has been already mentioned, but I found following comment on a German Lego community called lego-castle: For everybody: This person mentions that: - there will be five new Castle sets in September 2009 - in the first half of 2009 there will be two Impulse sets and a little jubilee set since Lego Castle is becoming 30 years in 2009 I have no clue if this information is right or wrong - but I think it might be right. I googled Lego Castle and found out that in 1978 there was the first ever Castle set - the Yellow Castle - and firstly in 1979 there were two additional sets - a knights BP and a tournament. So perhaps TLG then sees the start of the Castle line in the year 1979 since there was only one set in 1978. I don't know. But imo it would make sense. Klaus-Dieter
  11. Thank you very much for your nice comments, Guss, legotrainfan and Asuka! Yes, that's the same case when I'm building a house with Lego: The bricks are alway not enough to design one house in one colour - it's always getting minimum two colors. Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

Thank you very much for the clear box art pics, Skipper 24! Like already mentioned: 2009 is going to be one of the best years in City! The farm theme we get at long last a new theme which isn't based on fire, police, rescue and construction - great! The only thing I don't like that much is the minimalisitc style of the barn and the stable - and I miss in this theme is a farm house . But apart from that it's simply ! And - when you look at one of the lists - City 2009 will offer some (perhaps) even more interesting and spectacular sets! Klaus-Dieter
  13. Thank you very much for the pics of the TIE Advanced, baby! It looks really good! I am complaining about that - when you look at that list sam89 posted - you can read that the Tantive 4 will very sure be an UCS set but with minifigs (the name "playset" was written there, too). Since legopiotre wrote that the only UCS Tantive 4 some years ago was aalready 200 Euros, this one then surely will be between 200-250 Euros - so again a very, very expensive set! Klaus-Dieter

I know that sometimes you have the need to make (and wirte) some nonsense - that's human. So I surely don't take this personal, hollisbrick and DL! But know back to topic: I'm very anxious to (if this information was roght - but I think that the most items on the list were right) how the garage for the summer 2009 sets will look like. I mean: Towtrucks are apparetntly sold as seperate sets. So what leaves for the garage - since it's surely about 70 Euros - aside from a lot of accessory and and a car to repair? Hopefully the garge will consist of two floors and will include a little apartment upstairs - that would be and I would think about whether I shall buy it or not . (If the garage is "only" a garage I surely won't buy it since I already own 2,5 ones.) As for the camper I think it'll be in size and prize about next year's Horse Trailer - so 20-30 Euros. Hopefully it'll include a camoer with doors, wome nice accessory and a whole family: mother, father and little son - that would be really - I then surely would buy it even if it's six stuck wide (which I bet) ! What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  15. Hello everybody! Some time ago I pledged that I'll show you from time to time all my MOCs I designed in the last years. So after the Competition House I show you now followinig MOC I designed together with my brother about six til seven years ago: House With Kiosk Somewhere in a silent housing area there stands a nice apartment house. A nice garden with a terrace and a parking space belongs to it, too: Downstairs you can find a big floor, a toilet, the kiosk, kitchen, little office, storage room and living room: Upstairs theres is a roof terrace, bath room, sleeping room and guest room with bath room: Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
  16. Thank you very much for that news, legomilk! Since I don't understand the sentence completely: Did you mean that there'll be - aside from the regulary "Castle" sets which you can buy in toy shops, too - more exclusive S@H sets like 10193 next year? That would be brilliant! (indeed not for my wallet, but ... ) Klaus-Dieter
  17. You're right, Whitefang. When there are more accessories included in a set with road signs the price for this set and even the price per road sign increases. But think about that you only need many road signs if you own a big Lego City. And when this city is very big and mostly urban I think it would be more interesting and true to life if you add traffic lights to the main streets since in reality there are in big cities more traffic lights than road signs. In any case I'll buy one set of the City Minifigure Collection - and then order more parts for more traffic lights and benchs via PAB or Ebay. Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you very much for that news, darkrebellion, and for posting that list, darthperson! I really hope that this list is in that point wrong! An UCS Tantive IV with minfigs would be very similar to last year's UCS Millenium Falcon: Nearly no minifigs, much too detailed, no interior - and much too expensive! I really hope that TLG will release the Tantive IV as an exclusive set, but non-UCS. The amazing DS this year is already too expensive. So if TLG really decides/decided to release the Tantive IV as a very expensive UCS set, too, I would be very since it would be really unfair to make great and important sets of the OT only available for people which have got a lot of money! I mean: Surely, the Tantive IV has probably to be bigger than the awesome minifig-scaled ISD because its architecture is very difficult. But 200 Euros would be really, really enough! But I think that TLG won't change its mind. The list of next year's summer sets began so good with the Endor and Hoth set - but now that! Klaus-Dieter
  19. I think the question of whether they'd release this set or the other set is unreal: The Palpatine's Arrest (or the "A-Wing At Rebel Control Center") will be a ToysRUs Exclusive (it was said that it'll be only available via ToysRUs and not - like in the last years - even via S@H) - and consequently doesn't compete against TLG's exclusive and "normal" sets. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Although I must say that I'm really not interested in all that fantasy stuff (aside from a dwarves' hutt which TLG surely won't release) here my thoughts: Since it seems as if there is an orcs' castle next year I think that there will not be a new fraction. TLG will imo extend the dwarves and orcs subtheme and perhaps give you the opportunity to get some locations for these two fractions where they might live, eat, sleep, battle, celebrate, ... since (aside from the Dwarves' Mine) there were no locations for these two fractions this year. So let's see. I personally hope for an add-on to the awesome 10193 Medieval Market Village later in 2009. Klaus-Dieter
  21. Some more ideas for new themes (which were - in difference to Romans which I really would like, too - not mentioned): Egyptians (e. g. a big pyramid, ) (not in the grave robbers' style of 1999 (?) - which was nevertheless a great theme - but a historic theme like the excellent one Playmobil released) Greeks (e. g. a battle of Troja set) Stone Age (e. g. caves with prehistoric men, mammoths, ...) a new on the Classic Castle oriented Castle theme (nearly) without all that fantasy stuff As for the Star Wars theme: OT Battle Packs which include at least one captain/officer/sergeant/lieutenant/commander/... (the importance and the majority of votes (more than 70% for at least one captain/...) for that was discussed here)) Home One, but as whole ship (similar to the brilliant minifig scaled ISD) Obi Wan's Home & Tusken Raiders with Bantha Yavin Four Rebel Base redesigns of older sets (like e. g. Cloud City, Mos Eisley Cantina, ...) with more scenery and more new minifig characters ... As for the Castle theme: add-ons like proposed here for the brilliant 10193 Medieval Market Village hut for the dwarves As for the City theme: add-ons for the new great Farm theme: - tractor with that and manure-barrel - old farm house with little garden - Farm BP: farmer with pitchfork and some typical farm animals (cows, pigs, ...) ... zoo market garden Legoland Park with dragon roller coaster and Miniland fair with big wheel the Legoland president's limousine with the president of Lego City, a chauffeur and some bodyguards riot police special police forces park big public swimming pool (open air and/or inside) stadium big town hall churchs (of all religions) school, university housing area industrial area central business district mall Lego Store forest theme (e. g. forester's house, high seat, jeep, poachers with motor boat and helicopter, deer, ...) Thanks for reading! Klaus-Dieter

    City '09?

So let's hope it'll be something very similar to this year's awesome 10184 Town Plan, hollisbrick. But I think that we'll get more information and pics firstly in the end of the second quarter of 2009 since this set imo surely won't be released in the beginning of 2009 (except for it would be a CC styled set/building which would be ) since there is already that excellent 10193 Medieval Market Village. So we've to wait a long time . That's not very friendly to express your feelings about school in that way, Darth_Legois - I'm studying for teacher - so you'd have to put a minifig of me in your Lego school and burn it down, too, do you really want that?! Do you mean the clear pics of the January-April City sets? (Other pics did regrettably not already appear - you surely have to wait at least until January.)Here you are. Klaus-Dieter
  23. I think that there'll be about 4-5 sets left for summer-fall 2009 (similar to the number of sets of this and last year) which haven't been confirmed until now - and won't be confirmed for a long time since e. g. S@H Exclusives are regrettably confirmed firstly very late (or/and at least pics sadly are shown only a very short time before the point of release). These sets might (when you look at the list(s) and read the information which has been given by some members of us) be: - Count Dooku's Solar Sailor - Tantive 4 (S@H Exclusive) - Palpatine's Arrest or/and "A-Wing At Rebel Control Center" (ToysRUs Exclusive) - an UCS set (S@H Exclusive) That's what I think. Klaus-Dieter
  24. These are really fantastic vehicles, AL FREDDO! I really  them! If you hew this pic and add an official box art surely nobody would doubt that this is an official set! The details and the realstic design is simply . These would be some of the very few vehicles where I'd say that 6 stuck isn't too big - and the vehicles include doors . I really would like more special emergency stuff like you showed with this MOC, too. An emergency tent, an unimog, more "normal" vehicles, a little boat for the fire theme, ... - brilliant!!! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
