  1. He was a FBI agent who ended up being diced by a propellor on his own plane. :'-(
  2. Great work. I especially love the "break you" vig. I want Bane so much, but he costs too much. :'-( I hope he comes out as a magnet... Reading the stories highlights how behind I am in Batman. I hope the "Bruce is dead" angle is just for one story... 8-| Thanks for posting!
  3. Don't worry about me; true I went out of my way to get mine done in time and now I feel a bit silly for doing so, but that's OK. :'-( :'-( I'll be in my room. :'-( ;-)
  4. While I would have preferred a different bow, that is perfect otherwise. *wub* So many of the parts in that set I wanted anyway ; those small boats, the oars, masts, brown pieces, the bars... I love the new swords, the club and the small and big guys. (See below.) Lego have needed more traditional fantasy evil guys for years and this is just what I have wanted. I can accept the dragon but I don't need a second of that style and I have the green and red Viking one already! :-| The definition of Trolls/Goblins/Orcs varies so I wouldn't stress about that; call them what you want! :-P D&D for example largely follow Tolkien, but have trolls being very different; so different that Wikipedia has a whole entry on D&D trolls. Thanks for posting that picture Ikki! *wub*
  5. Personally I don't think any more are coming. Normally if people are pressed for time they say so... I would prefer a vote now.... but it's your competition! :-P
  6. Happy Birthday! As a present, I want you to finish your SHIP! :-D
  7. That was my exact thought! I can't see this making Lego interested in bringing back pirates. Personally I think Lego will bring them back in 08 or 09. These things take time.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! Sorry for missing your welcome topic earlier. I'm from Australia as well. (Hobart.) Where are you from?
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks! Sorry for missing your welcome topic earlier. Your fire servce is very impressive. *wub* I think there is only one other on Brickshelf that even comes close. Thanks for joining!

You should post here more; I love it! *wub* It's one of those MOCs that look almost like a photo when viewed as a thumbnail. I'm surprised how well the BURPs work. The passing cargo ship is a nice touch too! :-D
  11. Most of the Transformers toys in Australia are the horridly simple cheap ones, and silly ones like the blasters. :-X Go on; I deserve it. :-$
  12. Smart usage of the Greedo top. *sweet* For so few pieces it works very well. Did you try to take a photo lower and from the back to create a forced pespective? It probably is too small but it might work. 8-|
  13. I'm not much of a vig person but I like this one! *sweet* As others have said, the recreation of the pen ink is creative.
  14. Mental note; don't annoy Doctor Sinister. He seems to have a dark side which oddly comes out when he has a chest infection. Doesn't seem to affect his MOC skills which makes it even more intimidating. Hi! Great MOC. I like you. Honest. Don't hurt me. Please? :'-(
  15. Another great building! *wub* 4954 is a great set isn't it? I love how you put so much work into the interiors as well. I plan to be breaking my 7237 soon and I might be stealing some of your ideas! :-$ Is the stuff you can see in the basement just decoration or is there actually something down there? Oddly, my only negative comment is that the police station next to the restaurant is just too much grey for me. I tend to think you should try another roof colour. Prefably not black as there is enough black on that block already. Dark red?
  16. I was very surprised about that actually. At the time I was saying to my wife "That isn't fair; Lego will get interest from having that money about six months early... but I was wrong! :-$ I doubt that this will be short run set and I hope that Lego will give Australians a half price deal down the track like they did with the Death Star. :-D ( *sing* I've got... high hopes! *sing* ) :-P
  17. Personally I would think a lower number would have higher perceived value but since you are asking is there a reason why higher would be more wanted? Since you probably will never sell it does it matter what piece of paper is worth more? What happens to your spare sets? Really! 8-
  18. There is an interview here that should answer some of your questions. If not, asking Jipay is the best way to find the answers. But be warned that you shouldn't meddle in the affairs of Jipay, for he is subtle and quick to anger. ;-)
  19. All your answers are here.... *sweet*
  20. :-D I was making a subtle joke about flat bottom Lego boats, but you just had to mention the carpet gliders, didn't you? :-P
  21. Ships like these typically have a crew of around 20, even ones that carry around 10,000 containers. Most of those are just there so there are three people awake at all times for watch keeping and to help with berthing. There really isn't much to do; computers handle most of the navigation and the engines are automated today. We have a lower crew due to the fact that normally run two man 12 hour watches. As for tying up, it isn't that hard. A rope goes over onto a bollard, it is looped onto the other ship, thrown back to the original ship, and then looped more over the original bollard. This is then done in reverse on the other ship. The hard part is your boat is far lower so it will be hard to tie it up tight enough. I thought as much. It would be safer on board then, and we should even be able to push it around once it is on deck. ( :-D )
  22. Oh! That makes more sense. :-$ I didn't think it looked like yours.
  23. Actually it can be done quite fast. I recall a time when I was in the Navy where we did a cold move, that is engine off, of a Destroyer with just manpower. We did that, and resecured it, in under an hour with only around 20 people. Tying up your cute little bath toy with four ropes should take 4 guys about ten minutes. But I'm easy. If you'd rather bring it onboard that could be better; how flat is the bottom of your boat?
  24. No slack and double roped, forward and aft. Otherwise it will keep banging on the side... I still think we should bring it onboard, possibly after removing what makes it so heavy.... ;-)
  25. I tend to use :-| to indicate that something was unbelievable, and often silly.... 8-|
