Actually I am not conviced we will make it though the storm with that tied to our side. It's going to move up and down too much and grind hulls together. What is the hull made of anyway? In storms like this it is often safer to let go than have two ships tied together. I'm for that! Unless he objects.... 8-|

That was the problem with this contest. When I entered everyones were possible retail sets and thus mine fit in well. However, by the end mine looked very unimpressive and I doubted that I would get many votes. It's all my wifes fault; when she saw it she thought I would win and said I would cause trouble after winning the smackdown. Well I proved her wrong! X-D I did go back and pimp it up a bit, but I probably shouldn't have wasted my time. :'-( Luckily, like the Fire Engine Competition, I built it more because I actually wanted it so it doesn't bother me. I couldn't have made it any bigger as it needed to match the new container ship. In fact the original design was slightly bigger but I felt the pilot house was too tall. I was trying to make this... ...but if I made it to minifig scale it would have been the same size as the container ship. :-D (I wouldn't have had enough black anyway.) It will be de-Walrused soon... No. Friends, but not best friends. ;-) It is a shame that there wasn't another truck or boat as we could have had two sections. Next time I think you should have weight categories. I'll discuss this with you later... 8-| You are winning at the moment; does that mean gylman is really winning? *wacko* Perhaps, but you are the only one who stood up for me. :'-)

It was OK, but not the "Batman Year One" movie that was implied at first. There were too many aspects I didn't like and I find it a hard movie to watch without hitting the ole fast forward button. What don't I like? 1. Ninjas; The movie implies that Batman is a ninja with bonuses. I don't like that. The classic story was that he learnt from many, and while this version still allows for that, it implies that he was lost until he trained as a ninja. 2. Repetition of lines; "Mind Your surroundings", "Why do we fall down", "judge me by my actions" that kind of stuff. Works well in moderation only. 3. The assistant DA; Cute, but way too young. 4. Genesis Story; Why waste half the movie on this? I can go on but I won't. For me the best movies are still the Tim Burton ones.

I was all for the white house until I saw this set. I still wouldn't mind it though. :-D The problem with the blue truck is a lack of headroom. However the truck is quite low and I can't see it being too hard to change and still have it looking good.

I have been taking photos for this review for a few months and I finally took the rest of the photos last night. All the parts. If you want tan, this is the set to get! Main model. The garage is a great addition... ...but the car only just fits! The main house is very nice looking. The windows extend to the sides... ...but not the back. The chimney and drainage work very well, and I love the "basement". I think the front works very well. When I was making this I was multitasking doing weight training; do a set, do a step, do a set... and I ended up missing one of the row paths. I discovered this after I finished the basement. :-| The removable roof reveals BYO floors. Probably why this is called a Model house! The roof was quite interesting to build. This is my first large house set so it all was very new to me. I love the garage door. More nice pipework. This photo I mis-focused but there isn't much to see anyway! The door is a nice touch. The grill to the right on both sides is not just decoration as it hides the hinges for the door. I also made one of the sub-models. I was considering keeping this but I decided against it. Once again the sides have windows... but the back doesn't. The truck is there to make the photo more worthwhile! The roof to this one doesn't come off easily as all the tiles are used for the front. Just to clarify; these houses aren't attached so you can arrange them however you want. The fronts are quite elaborate and it seems that Lego were trying to make this almost like a simpler market street. The truck is too small for a minifig... ...but it probably was my favourite car. Thoughts I highly recommend this set. In most countries it is good value for money, including Australia. The design is excellent and three instructions are included. (The third is a school. If anyone has made it and wants to post photos feel free! At least one person at EB has made it.) I love how each house has its own car. Due to the way the primary model is made it is a bit weak at the corner, but that was a design choice. My only real complaint about this set is how Lego is going though a mould transition and thus some roof slopes are rough, others are smooth. I can accept either, and Lego has been moving to smooth slopes for years now, but to have a set with about 50/50 is annoying. (The MTT was the same.) But that is my only gripe with this excellent set. *wub*

Great idea. *wub* Makes me want a few of those bikes even more! I might have to try this idea on the other bike myself.
-
Good idea! I might do the same with some of my "special" mini-figs.

Added.... and welcome to EuroBricks! *sweet*

These are how Exoforce should have been... but unless UCS versions are done it will never happen. I can't see kids finding these twice as appealing as the ones that have half the parts. On a more positive note I love them. *wub* I don't like the extensions in the groin area for the obvious reasons, but that is just a matter of style preference. Grand Titan in particular is perfect. The official one just doesn't look beefy enough. I love the gun, it is so over done and thus perfect. I will be downloading this guys folder ASAP! *sweet* Thanks for posting this!

It is a secret catalog only given to stores and distributers and they are not allowed to show it. More and more will be revealed in time, but please don't press people too hard and just be happy with what we have been shown. *sweet* Send them all!

I hate to be a female canine, but have half the participants decided to give up on this? It is 100% your choice and your business, but if you can't do at least a post a week then you probably should say so.

Darn. I was hoping that your day was soooo good that you didn't have time for us. Sorry to hear that. :'-(

Not a problem. Containers fall over the side all the time. Just look at this photo; Supposedly between 2,000 and 10,000 are lost each year. What difference would one more make?

Quiet?! Are you kidding Jack!? We just winched on board a large boat. Carpet gliders or not, that makes a lot of noise. Were you were sleeping with noise cancelling headphones on or something? Don't know to be honest. But since it has a physics defying lock and it's own security gaurd with ninja training it has to be something better than 10 Bulldozers in it. I might even be the old Fabuland Paddle Steamer. I would love one of those. I'm with you here Capt'n. Open it, lock it, shove it over the side. Anything is better than doing nothing with it.

Ahhh. Thanks for that. Much of my interest in Batman is with the Bruce/Batman dyanamics. Thus I get grumpy whenever any part of that is changed. I especially hate it when movies imply Bruce has got over his past. :-|

List updated. Good idea! *sweet* I will add that only if someone mentions it here themself.

:'-( :'-( Everyone! Listen! alex54 is my new best friend. :'-) :'-)

Well that's OK then. I'm sure that she can find a good way for him to celebrate! :-P

I realise I said "I look forward to your next MOC!" in your birthday topic but I was joking! Wow! You are one of those builders who just keeps doing your own thing and keeps producing great results. I love it! *wub* Your controller is pretty cool. How long is the cable? I was going to try and buy a long cable but I lost interest when I saw the bulldozer. Once I am able to break it I plan to do something similar... 8-|

It's common in fantasy books; Magician, Dragonlance and the Pern series I can name doing zero research.

Strewth! That will take a lot of "scales".... 8-

7697 Claw Tank Ambush. It's actually quite good and the tracks even roll! :-P
