Sorry, we have cross posted as I took too long to write the post! :-$ I should have been clearer with what I meant. I think you thought I was saying why he did it the way he did when I was not. While I did read his site, it was weeks ago. I was just saying what I felt was possible with Lego, and I don't think it is possible to have a Movie Transformer that looks as good as the ones in the first post that transform as well as Brickfrenzy's does. In fact, I have seen a few good looking movie Tranformers, but I don't think I have seen any that transform. Has anyone seen one that I missed? I agree. As I said, even the Hasbro ones don't work the same.

I think you have got me wrong. What I meant was that IMHO, because it is a Lego model that can transform it cannot look the same as the movies versions look in robot form. I don't think it is possible due to the deliberate complicated transformation - even Hasbro found it hard to make the toys resemble the movie versions. I was not in any way saying that I know why Brickfrenzy/Adrian did his excellent model the way that he did, it was just an opinion. Sorry for any confusion.

My advice is give up and try somewhere else until Kevin really fixes it. :-|

Luckily I made mine as I wanted a tugboat. :-D The chance of me winning seems low at this stage. I have found that many sets that are the same price in the same theme, for example the Exo-Force mechs, are almost exactly the same weight. I think this would be a highly practical way to even the field without being a pain in the butt. As for enforcing it, I suppose it comes down to trust. The smackdown MOC between me and Hinckley relied on that and it seemed to work. Indeed! :-P I found 2 hours time to work on my Fire Engine entry this weekend. Hopefully I will find another 2 hours tomorrow! :-D

Ignoring the fact that I hate the new designs, they are excellent work and really look like the movie versions. *wub* (The blue looks odd in that photo... *wacko*) Since there is no way the movie ones could transform either it isn't that surprising that they can't transform. :-P Brickfrenzy did a version of Blackout that does transform, but it doesn't look much like the movie version in robot form because of it.

I tend to agree and that is why I proposed this a few months ago. I think the easy solution to this is to have a weight limit. Yes, I am serious. I don't think this is always true. For example the famous Lego aircraft carrier. A lot of people like this, but aside from its size I don't find it impressive at all. (Is he a member here ? :-P ) Parts customising aside, I find this guys stuff more impressive. I took too long writing my post and you beat me. :-$

Yes, but it was done via buttons on the bottom, and it works well. (My kids have one.) I wish Lego did that with the RC trains. A way to stop or reverse trains automatically at the end of a track would be cool.

I find them annoying also, but I feel the same about most animated signatures as well. I see them as a distraction. To be blunt, your current one (that is you iamded) is especially annoying. :-D

Well the "don't ask, don't tell" is just a US policy. The Australian policy is that it is OK and that sex is not acceptable on board regardless of preference. My personal experience was that it really made little difference, but it did take the fun out of events like beauty pagents on all male ships. There was one time when I made the figure hugging dress out of a sheet for someone epecting that we would win, but someone had a full set of lingerie on board, including suspenders and stockings. He did not look good in it. (I have photos! :-D ) I told Coll about the sharing the bed idea. She looked vagually interested. :-P I tend to sleep, but I don't watch TV either. Yay! *wub* I like them but I agree with ImperialScouts about the eyes. I hope they get hazard pay! X-D

I am so glad that Lego have decided to do a more fastasy based castle. Shame that it's probably just because Lord of the Rings was a success, but the result is still the same. *sweet* I wonder if they will do other good guys, such as elves? Conversely, dark elves would be cool as well. *sweet*
