Castle Team: The New Role of Fan Feedback
Siegfried replied to ellerb's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
*sing* *sing* That would be horrid! I don't spend that much on parts normally.... although I did just buy a Fabuland boat hull for a similar price! :-$ How many of those do you have? Incidentally, I was going though your folder and saw this... I recieved two black wheels bases with mine but complained and was sent replacements. I tried for a few weeks to ignore it, but that train looks silly with two black wheels! :-| -
I thought yours was great but Fat Tony's was better. Sorry... :-$
-
It isn't that big a boat. Surely we could bring it on board and secure it on deck... 8-|

Well I don't think it should be called Sci-Fi as most space MOCs forget about the "Sci" part... If it was to be renamed, I would call it "Future Fantasy" and that I think would cover Steampunk well. (Regardless of its name, I see it as "Future Fantasy anyway! :-D ) I do agree though that Mecha are not always to do with space. Back to Steampunk, in the past people have posted in both sections and the mods don't seem to override this so they don't seem to have a preference.
-
Good question! I would go for space as I see Steampunk as the future in the past but I am curious what others think.... 8-|

Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* Your dark ages were shorter than many! Methinks you might like Star Wars... any other themes?
-
Sorry for missing your welcome topic; I saw it earlier and thought it was "just" about your shop. :-$ Welcome to Eurobricks and keep the customs rolling! *sweet*

Castle Team: The New Role of Fan Feedback

Thanks for posting that great article. Shame about the pitchforks and cypress trees; I want both and the last time I checked the price of pitchforks on BL is silly. Telling you about what I think makes a good castle would be embarassing, but I will say that I agree with all of the ideas you wanted for the new sets, especially the modularity and avoiding one-piece baseplates. I love your corner tower. I wish Lego would bring back the old yellow/red and with black printing castle piece as you could achieve a similar effect with little pieces. Your castle stable was very cool as well. I hope that it does make it to S@H, and I hope even more that the skeleton dragon becomes a reality, even if it is made like the new ones. Thanks also for being such a good Ambassador; from what I read you truly seem to represent what we want.... or at least what I want! :-D Hopefully this is a return to the castle I want, even if it means buying the civilian sets o nS@H. -
...but wait there's more! The return of an undersea theme as I missed the last one! When I found out that the new Cement Mixer's drum actually works! Exo-Force, which was a refreshing new theme when it came out! Bridge Walker; that Mech is so cool! The return of linked tracks! S@H! Pick-A-Brick at S@H! The new cargo ship and the apparent return to plain boring city sets! Recieving a free set (4992) in my Lego magazine!

Thanks for the link! I've been to that site before and I should have thought to check it out myself. :-$ Indeed; he did do a good job. That toy is great too. Hasbro have some very talented designers. Bumblebee I recall was one, and it was around a third off. But I am from Australia... Ooops. :-$ My appoligies. I did that post just before bed and I should have taken greater care. I have fixed it now.

Hi, I'm Sinner! You might remember me from such MOCs as the last Smackdown and the current one..... Don't let this distract you from the real challenge! :-D Seriously if you want to delay ours feel free; I haven't even started yet. I needed to finish my Fire Engine first. :-$ I love Steampunk! *wub* This should be cool. *sweet* EDIT: I just noticed there is a comic as well; I think this one is my favourite! :-D

Don't worry; I don't trust myself either. Afterall; I threatened the stowaway when I could swear that I was asleep at the time... Hard to be sure. He seems honest, but he must have gone back to his cabin to watch Star Trek instead of doing his duty and reporting what he saw. It's hard to trust Star Trek fanboy... I have been trying to as I think he may be connected, but he seems too scared to speak now. :'-( Sorry to say that would be very hard. At one stage he said he had just a gun, now he has grenades, what's next; a bazooka? *sing* No. Columbo acts like he has a personal stake in this and I am surprised that he managed to persuade you to disregard idea of just guessing the passcode. I don't see what we have to lose here. Perhaps he is the guy who has been opening it and fears we will ruin his plans. 8-| I agree on both counts. Errr.... I want a C-O-L-L R-I-D-E-R! Was that right?

You've been a busy boy lately! Another interesting MOC! *sweet* You even found a use for those spinner holder thing-me-bob-parts. (The brown things on the legs.) Great work. I have a bag of bionicle stuff but I find it hard to use. :'-(
-
Cool creation! *sweet* Transforming MOCs are hard. Actually I think the colours work. :-)
-
I agree with you. It is a lot more fun to just make up your own story.
-
Happy Birthday! I look forward to your next MOC! (I recently realised that you are the guy who made this... ...cool crane. *wub* )

An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Siegfried replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well he is supposed to have a gold visor and you never see his face. :-D I might steal the one from my Mars Mission man.... You're crazy! *wacko* Actually I noticed after I took the photo that; 1. The visor was up and looked silly. 2. The front of the Warthog was up and looked silly. 3. It wasn't clear that the teeth in the forground belonged to a T-Rex and it looked silly. So, silly me re-took the photo! :-$ -

Thanks! It isn't finished yet. :-| I am not happy with the gun and I needed some parts to make the rear wheels steer properly. I have the parts now but I have to get around to it. My Master Chief sux, but he is hard to do without customs. :'-( -

Sort of. If held upsidedown. :-D -
Surely you must know more than that! For example, how deep it is, how you are to identify it, that kind of stuff. Was it in a box? No need to go that far Capt'n. :-$ I do appreciate the offer though. I feel the same way. I don't even know where half the crew is! *wacko* When was the last time we saw the stowaway? Aye aye Capt'n! If you want, but I can't see any purpose in it. Without us moving the rudder wont do any good. I think we should stay together. As for the Minnow, I would love to cut it loose, but I can't see them agreeing with that.... On that subject; have we dropped our anchor? I find it very suspicious. They claim to know little about the job, but you need to know more than just a possible location to find treasure. Their boat is too small for a deep water salvage as well.

Ya know Capt'n, I'm still not in the best of moods with you. It was bad enough booting me, but you scuffed my boots too! :-| Here is a full bottle of whiskey just the same.
-
Did you know anything else about this treasure? Stuff like; 1. Country of origin 2. Nature of treasure (coinage, idols, jewels, etc) 3. Why was it sunk? 4. When was it sunk?
-
That one is pretty good. I saw that a few months ago. I think I recall that was what he was going for, but since I haven't seen the toy I'll take your word for it. I agree. Hasbro have done a stunning job. I wish I liked the new design more as they are on sale in my town. :-P

So what was this new job Dan?
