It's going to be another great year! While I don't like micro building, micro sets can be good as they have parts great for detailing.... *sweet*

Yes. *wub* I got word of this marvel because BrickJournal posted a picture of it. Once I picked myself off the floor I made it my wallpaper. Looking though the other pictures makes me feel like I need to pass out again.... I can't believe you plan to sort it so fast though... 8-

Hmmmm. 8-| Can I have my boots back now Capt'n? While I do have a spare on board I have spent several years breaking those in.
-
Oh.... welll.... OK Capt'n. 8-|

I really don't understand your concern there Pete; if it is dangerous, locking it in is a good thing, if it is not dangerous, why should we care. Are you sure you don't have a personal stake in all of this; you seem to show more concern for this container than us, and certainly more than the security guy. :-/ Personally I want seal the lock and ditch the container. Every year around 2,000 to 10,000 containers are lost due to bad handling and/or weather. Let's make this mysterious box just another statistic! :-D Here Capt'n. Only a quarter full this time though. :-$ Whoa! Is there any way that he could ID him? Perhaps going though his locker could help...

Great find! *sweet* The Hailfire droids wheels seem to be a new part... I look forward to better pics!

0 hours, give or take 0.

No, sad to say it's reality! :'-(

While I want the same thing, I can't say that I agree. To accurately read a bar code at speed from 2 cm with just a LED and photodiode (or LDR) would be an impressive trick and probably would have added cost to the unit. (Can any train set do this?) Although I think you might have a point. Perhaps Lego tried and failed? Perhaps they will come out with those trains soon and make people like me who own both sets grumpy.... 8-| From what I have heard the barcode truck was un-reliable.

Great work! I do miss the thrusters though... :-P It still is clear what it is a revamp of even though it is far more sleek. Is there any space for cargo? (I saw your micro-space entry the other day; that was pretty cool too! *sweet* )

That is some show of strength. 8-

I don't remember you as I wasn't here! :-$ Welcome back just the same. *sweet* If it isn't too private and isn't too involved care to share why your passion of Lego was snuffed out? I'd just like to know what can cause it so I can see it coming! :-P

I don't like displaying WIPs either but I was stupid and mentioned it, and was asked to show it. The problem with this one is the head could be OK when the project is finished so it is my plan to move on to phase 2 and worry about the head later. While I am building a dragon, it isn't just a dragon... While I do agree that the dragon needs spikes/horns, these will be integrated into the body. That dragon isn't my style anyway. Unfortuantly mine doesn't look like that either! :-P Actually you're halfway there. I want to make a space craft that resembles a dragon... X-D I've been wanting to make one since I was about 10. :'-)

Watching it walk makes it seem cute and cuddily. *wacko* Yep, it sounds odd, but it's just what first sprung to mind and I thought I would share it. :-D

Happy birthday guys! May all of your birthdays come at once.... :-P

I didn't buy this, but Lego seem to be sending Australians 4992... ...as part of the free Lego club. *wub* Is this just Australia?
-
According to the guy that designed this set there was a Space Shuttle Alt model but this year Lego decided to not show them... *wacko* That's a relief! :-) I didn't make the helicopter as it didn't impress me very much. I was curious about the hovercraft though.
-
I agree. Errr... sorry if I have annoyed you by posting the pictures. Looking at your Brickshelf folder you had taken photos of the hovercraft as well and I seem to have stepped on your toes. :-$ Feel free to beat me up, or I could do it myself if you prefer... 8-| (I prefer bigger pictures as I get tired of clicking, waiting, clicking, waiting. If the pictures are all there all you have to do is click then wait! :-P )
-
Errrr... no as the wind speed over the wing would be too low. The more fun question is this: If it is possible for a space craft to travel just under, but not at or over the speed of light, can someone shoot an arrow within the space craft?

An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Siegfried replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Well I have played Halo and Halo 2 (and liked both) and I think it does resemble them and I might even steal the design for my Master Chief.... but anyone who buys that is an idiot! The transparant part is the dangerous bit.... -
Thanks. The nostrils took a while to do. I'm still not sure if it is dragony enough; it could be seen as a T-Rex head. My plan though is to largely leave the head as it is, and decide later.

Hovercraft Alternate model. Uses around 4/5th of the parts. It is cool but a bit fragile.

Resizing isn't that hard.... :-D
