TUTORIAL: Remove print from decorated elements
Agent Kallus replied to Hinckley's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
You just use a rubber (eraser) like you find on the end of a pencil and rub it over only the top part of the head, or tape over the chin so that you can use another method. -

The Tale of Doctor Alfredson of Corrington: Chapter 1 Arlof upon Sea was a small Corrish town, one its main landmarks was it's prestigious university, It was not the most renown university in Corrington but it was fairly decent, if university league tables existed it would probably be quite near the top, or at least that what the board of directors would have you believe. The board of directors had thought that Arlof University needed something to to put it on the map ,as the saying goes, so when one of their doctors of ecology suggested going on a journey to New World, they fully supported him, hoping that it would bring fame and praise to their humble establishment. Alfredson however had plans of his own that he had to chosen not to divulge to the board of directors. Doctor Ragnar Alfredson stood out on the Arlof docks quietly waiting for his contact. The silk trader arrived right on que, Ragnar had been waiting for about twenty minutes before he arrived but this was due Ragnar's promptness rather than any tardiness on the part of the captain. "So, is there space for me on the Autumn Blossom?, I hear you're headed to the new world and me and my apprentice have the very same destination in mind." "Yes, we will be docking in Cocovia, but if you want more stops along the way then I'm sure you could afford them." "Do you have the payment?" Ragnar nodded and handed the captain a sack. "As discussed." It was lighter than the captain had been expecting, too light to be Doubloons at any rate ,but it bore the correct seal and seemed to be the package his superiors were expecting, they had not told him what the pack would be and he had naively assumed it would be mere coin. "The ship will be waiting out in ocean," He gestured to a small rowing boat, "you can use our rowboat to get across, oh and since you'll be the on voyage with me I'd like you to address me as Captain Yiroe" Ragnar nodded again in agreement as Yiroe left the dock house. He then went about making the proper preparations and found his apprentice Calder Norrington to help carry the equipment. They worked together to load up the rowboat and ended up having to make multiple journeys out to the Autumn Blossom. Ragnar was lucky that his fiancée Alice Elieasdottir was not as forgetful as he. She met him outside the dock house and brought him his compass, an essential tool which he had neglected to remember. "Aha, I knew I had missed something, thank you dear." "You're welcome, but I'm afraid that's not all you forgot..." "Oh" "You were going to tell your colleagues where to wish farewell from." "Yes of course, how about here?" "Sounds good to me." Ragnar looked down at his compass, musing. "Would it be better to call compasses space clocks or to call clocks time compasses?" "What? Oh I guess the time compasses sounds better." "I think it fits better if the naming system is uniform, yeah, time compass does sound better." Ragnar nodded. After they were informed, they came to wish farewell to Calder and Ragnar. ( from left to right :Alice Elieasdottir, Argus Wyld Professor of Archaeology,William Jayek head of the board of directors and chemist, Keith Marcoson Doctor of Botany, Magnus Pertwee Professor of Physics , Gwenive Dorn Professor of Military History and Angus Keltch Student of Economics.) As the others waved gentle Keith sound out asking for a souvenir, The little rowboat pulled back past the crowd as Calder and Ragnar neared the Autumns Blossom. "I mean both of you get me one!" "So you only want one but from the both of us." Ragnar teased Keith but all were in good spirits as the boat slowly drew out of sight. OOC: This is the first part of Doctor Alfredson's story I hope you all like it. C and C are welcome. (This is my first, introductory freebuild I hope I did it right )

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Agent Kallus replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ragnar Alfredson is an esteemed ecologist from the University of Arlof (in South west Corrington) who has recently earned the title of Doctor of ecology. He has plenty of fans in Corrington, But is less popular in Oleon and Esolandia due his suggestions that Zeus did not split man from woman to make humans as we know them and his musing that the lucrative tobacco trade is related to increasing number of throat sickness cases. Through his Explorer Father he has a few contacts from within silk trading convoys from the Lotus empire, Alfredson hoped to reach that far north one day but he had more important plans set for the present. OOC: I hope I've done this right, I intend to do mostly free-builds to begin with to help me get to grips with the game (also these pictures were taken with my phone and artificial light, but for my free-builds I'll use day light and a proper camera) -
Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Agent Kallus replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The ninjago 2018 summer wave has plenty of use to historical builders, particularly of note is a new print for the knight armour piece , which shows burn marks and scratches over a dark orange painted on bull's eye, It would fit well with brigands and bandits. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
Agent Kallus replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
You seem to have answered your own question.. From what you saying I guess they weren't released in america, but now they are. The only real difference from the British ones would be the price tag (dollar not pound) and perhaps the issue number (did they say issues one on them or issue 34? I'm curious)- 1,601 replies

Review: 5005358 Minifigure Factory
Agent Kallus replied to mostlytechnic's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I got mine today, and I love it. Ninjago is currently my favourite line and so I very much appreciate Pixal's inclusion, but as a fan of historical themes I'd have prefer the one to represent the the 2000s/cmfs be the forest man from series 1 or a castle (aka fantasy era) princess or something because the cop and the nurse it feels like they've got two 'modern day' or city themed figs and yet no castle representation, the forestman might have upset the gender ratios but they could use a female pirate to fix that. (thought something else I'd really want would be a little redcoat solider, maybe they can make one for 100th anniversary of the minifig (hoping Lego doesn't go bust before then.)) I was pleasantly surprised by the little feature which is simple but effective. thought it is funny how none of the figs have green on them, despite that being the colour of the paint, (which was funny as I got the iconic bunny with the same order and his paint brush has blue paint which makes more sense for this, thought is was a different shade.)- 20 replies

Holy Arceus , this is wonderful, and as @Digger of Bricks says it is a better looker than the ideas set and that one can't transform into a transformer that also looks ace. -

Night Outing in NINJAGO City
Agent Kallus replied to Garmadon's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is wonderful, really captures the look of the city from this season. -
I wouldn't lose hope yet, her casual design is quite unique unlike a lot of ninjago characters who just have existing torsos recoloured so it be designed after a new figure rather than made just for the show. Also we've gotten other side characters along time after they featured like Ash, season 6 Skylor or the white nindroid, though on the other hand we've never gotten Cyrus Borg. It's a nice reuse of the Koko hairpiece and I'd like to think its a case of when not if but I could be wrong.

That gift is the same one that comes with issue 34 of the ninjago magazine in Europe, but the book is different. Also if it was at a dollar store then one would presume it only cost you one dollar? which sounds like good price to me.

It's been confirmed that the new 2 part hood for the villains is compatible with the 2 part ninja hood, so that is nice. Also some basic plot details have been leaked.

The 2018 Cole variants are very similar ,Cole's only addition here compared to the sog suit is the shoes, and its weird how similar it is compared to his battle damaged version, with just the belt and again the shoes being different.

Actually now I think it is the sog version for sure.looking at the back cover and this picture of her season 9 suit. I'm glad its her sog version, because its exclusive to the nightcrawler otherwise, whereas the season 9 suit comes in the throne room set.

That's the sog variant, isn't it? I hope so because it looks like a parts book and its nice to get her without needing to use BL or get the night-crawler.
