Wow, that's huge. I always wanted to build some working town, village or port, but never had time to really start. Great job!

A really nice, clean build. I really like Your little scenes, especially the ship in construction. -
Help to identify sets from old LEGO stash
jakbar replied to Vindfrisk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can clearly see some LEGO system in there, it's quite probable as You said it's an old collection... Try searching for a set with this armored horse on the sixth photo as it's a quite rare piece. It comes probably from THIS SET. The same with the castle flag on the first photo it might be part of THIS SET. If it's the case than I guess I am quite jealous LEGO system is a very large serie, but it's divided into some subgroups like castle, space, city etc... I'm not entirely sure, but I think that the spaceships might also be a part of the system series. I can clearly see a Space Police set and I am almost sure it's THIS ONE, but You should verify it Yourself as I can't see all the pieces You have THIS shield shows us also that You have some System-Forestmen sets. There are also some pirates sets wich should also be easy to find as it's a rather small series and You have some specific pieces (flag with canons, monkey and the tropical tree). Omn the forth photo there is a piece with OCTAN written on it. There is a little series of sets with OCTAN trademark so it should also be easy to identify as this piece seems very specific so no more than one or two sets should contain it. The red-bigger-version-of-a-minifig-sorta-guy on the fifth photo is also a quite rare piece and it can be easily localized as it's most probably a part of th Jack Stone series and, most probably, it comes from THIS SET. I might spot some more in a bit of time, but that's it for the moment. But first of all make sure thet You haven't lost any pieces during all these years as it's incredibly frustrating to build sets with missing pieces (trust me on this one). Anyway, Good luck with the reconstruction! -
Interesting idea. I definitely like the rocks althought I'd like a pathway that's a bit less colorfull as the contrast is too strong and You could also try some more detailed trees.

[MOC] American M24 Chaffee Light Tank
jakbar replied to ProvenceTristram's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I can really understand You, I often feel the same I think that You could go with dark green. Then You could've put some leaves on it to act as camouflage etc... It might fit really nice with some forest scenery if I can suggest that. -

Amazing model with a lot of attention to detail. I really like the fact that You keep upgrading it so it gets better and better -
Beautiful, could You please post some more details? It looks really amazing and I'd love to see some more

As much as I really hate Kingsman 2, I must say that I really like the minifigs. Especially Charlie looks quite similar to the original.

Everyone has his own technique, methods and preferences. It depends of Your style. Some like to have everything sorted and planned before building and others (me!) prefer to rather improvize. Howewer, regardless of Your preference, You should have some idea of what do You want to build and to think about bricks You might need. For example if You would like to build some winter scene You should check first if You have enought blue/white bricks and buy them before beginning. There is nothing more frustrating than having to stop a project beacause of having not enought bricks. Trust me If You need bricks I strongly recommend BRICKLINK. I my opinion it is the best place to buy bricks. Personally I started by trying to modify/merge some sets You have. Thats how I started at least.

Ok thanks. I was actually looking everywhere on internet to see what recently happened in Budapest and why the heck there was nothing in the news . The soldiers look great.
-
I really like the simpleness of the model. Especially the weapon, as it looks less flashy compared to other bionicles and makes everything look much more profesionnal. The hands are great, I love the opposable thumb.

Nice colorfull buildings, great atmosphere... but I don't really understand why are there soldiers in the evening and what are mechs doing in here? Could You please explain?

Woow that one is amazing. The amount of detail You've put into this model is stunning. What is the wooden grid made of? I love the fact that You've used the "homemade" canons instead of the LEGO ones. They fit here much much more and I guess it also comes out much much cheaper . The rigging looks great and functional. You've even included a capstan! I really love Your model and I hope for more .- 53 replies

Very nice build and story. I really like when people add some lore/story to their creations. The furniture looks great as do the mannequins. -
Beautiful, very clean, smooth and esthetic. The base looks really amazing. I also like the little pathway and the trees below.
-
Looks great, how did You get so many canons?! I love the fact that the fort is star shaped. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that single canon directly over the gate as it doesn't seem that it fits there. I'd also love to see some redcoats inside, doing their work etc...
-
Very simple design, I love the homemade drinks inside and the general smoothness of the build. The video is also very interesting and fun to watch.
-
Nice work, especially with the second one. They remind me a bit of the LEGO ATLANTIS series.
-
Looks gorgeous, especially the house incorporated in the mountain side. I also really love the rockwork. I never had anything against non-snot builds as it's just how LEGO is. I never really understood people tiling everything they could...
