  1. That still leaves it as a looming problem in that it may be difficult to extend this time line into the events of EP6. Yoda states quite clearly there that once he is gone Luke will be the last remaining Jedi. If this to be kept consistent then the window of activity for the Jedi (and possibly force wielders) presented in Rebels can only ever extend up to that point or a bit before it. If we pick at details further, the window of time between EP5 and 6 is very short and Vader likely hunting for his son during this time it is probably reasonable to say the stage occupied by the rebels crew did not reach as far as EP5 either. I would grant room for it extending into EP4 since it is implied the rebellion has been reaping nothing but defeats until DS1 is destroyed by Luke. After that and given the nature of the Rebel force described in the title crawl of EP5 I would wager no one of note from rebels survived the events leading up to the Battle of Hoth. I hope their continuity manager takes this into account as well.
  2. Well at least it comes with a proper blaster. Wonder what the print on the back piece will be?
  3. Splurged a bit too much! Got 75131x3 (Resistance Troop BP) and 75140x1 (Resistance Troop Transport) I took my 2 Rebel BF Bps and proceeded to diversify my Resistance troopers! Got a little army going now!
  4. Yes, the tan is looking a bit unsightly on Tarkin upon further examination, but would it be OK to swap the head and put it on to a Imperial Technician included in the Battlefront Imperial BP figure? Or is that grey too light/printing of the rank too mismatched? Just trying to think of a way the figure can be kept with the rather imposing imperial gray we are used to from the films while getting a pretty recent print that works. Edit* (NVM, It seems that won't work at all, I just looked at my figure and noticed he has no rank printing and while his legs get a nice print they're tool pouches which would look bad on Tarkin) Seems returnees like me who are parts poor will have to endure tan Tarkin for some time. But I want that Vader, Sabine and Pilot so bad!
  5. I am so stoked for this set. Tarkin aside it will be cool to have these figures and vehicles (though they will cost me more than 90$ here). Now I just need them to release a small set with Zeb and Ill be happy! Got Hera in a micro fighter, going to get Kanan from his speeder, Ezra and Chopper from the Phantom, that will leave Sabine and Zeb as the last of the pack! Common LEGO start pumping out more of these!
  6. So jelly, specially with everyone decking theirs out with proper blasters! I may have to place an order for a hundred of them in the near future. I think Ive become a battle pack collector ><
  7. Got another BF Rebels BP >.> I love me them Duros and Rodians! My local shop ran out of empire BPs >< But this Thursday I am going back to check and see if they got anymore! So yes...I have found the good stuff too! Rawr!!!! (ooh my wallet should I find multiples of either of them =))
  8. Because somewhere along the way folks forgot that gaming is about the games and only the games. I actually have stopped going to sites like IGN because they seem to frame a lot of things in this "me vs. you" mentality. It is childish and tiring. If you like games you get every and any system that delivers what you want. If you can't afford them all you get the one with the least compromises to your game preference. The fanboyism I have noticed only advances materialism or over justifying how you choose to spend your money. Which in itself is a silly notion to me.
  9. I have bought myself too many LEGO sets since coming out of my Dark Age. I have two children and wonder if it is spoiling them. One difference is they're both girls and one of them is only 1. But like the previous poster simply stating how things work, seems to work. I sometimes find myself saying "can't this week/month because I need the money for something else" suffices. If anything my oldest knows that this money thing seems to run low like gas on a car so when there is plenty we can "splurge" when there is not enough we get things that we need more than LEGO. But she keeps plenty busy with things beyond LEGO so for now easy breezy. As she gets older it will depend on her "love" of LEGO or not. But she will probably just take for granted that daddy loves him his LEGO. heh heh=)
  10. I agree. I dont mind the look of the battle damage too much it makes them seem like "grizzled veterans" who know whats up. Pristine and polished troops look like cannon fodder. I want to remove only some of the damage so that it looks unique for each trooper in these battle packs. Going to look for anything like Brasso at my local hardware store. Japan is picky about what it lets in chemical-wise into the country but I am sure there is a domestic version somewhere I just gotta go dig for it.
  11. There is no teacher like experience I guess! I'll give it a shot!
  12. Hmm toothpaste works just as well you say? How can you check the grit level on toothpaste? Also by magic eraser do we mean the kneaded eraser types that a sketch artist might use to remove pencil from paper? If so how long does this method take over either Brasso or toothpaste? Though I am more apt to try the toothpaste as it seems the least hassle-inducing procedure to go through.
  13. I just recently got this battle pack myself. And while I do find the damage to be not too bad, I do want to get a few more of this particular BP and erase some of the damage so that it looks different on each stormie I get. When using the toothpick near the vent scar how did you do it exactly? Did you just dip the tip with Brasso and then lightly rub it perpendicular to the damage or parallel to it? That is the one part of trying this that is scaring me witless.
  14. But don't you need some logic to build some stuff with LEGO? Oo I am confoodled now!
  15. Welcome! And I know the feels! Had almost forgotten LEGO until recently.
  16. Got 4 sets yesterday. Both battle packs for the Battlefront line up and 2 micro fighters: The Ghost and AT-DP. I can't quite make out what the Rebel Alliance faction represents though other than perhaps it is the Tatooine rebels, though why one comes with the Hoth helmet is beyond me. Loved the Galactic Empire set though. The Stormies look cool with the battle damage and the Shock Trooper looks awesome! I might get another one because there can never be enough Stormtroopers!
  17. Thank you kindly. I am really loving this place!
  18. Also lets not forget it wasn't even a 2015 set! >< It literally clobbered everything else in City for the entire actual 2015 line-up despite its price, size, subject matter, AND age! >.> Maybe LEGO R&D already has more than 3 in the works heh heh! Imagine the storm if anything of equal size/parts for police makes the list for next year's report \(o.0)/
  19. Thanks for the welcome! Sadly, I moved house a few years back and am in an area with no Bic Camera so I have to settle for Yamada Denki which has a very poor selection but decent prices when something is on offer. I have also long since discarded buying used here, nothing LEGO and used is to be seen. On occasion Ill head out to Gotenba for the Click Brick but their prices are no better than Yamada Denki. Despite the challenges of building in Japan I still have promised myself to get as much LEGO as I can this year! I call it returnee syndrome lol. I had not touched LEGO since I was a child. Forgot how cool they are! P.S. I managed to complete my Swamp Police series! Took some time and 2 sets were really pricey but it comes with the territory of collecting here. heh heh Thanks! for the welcome!! And yah I chose and odd name. Mostly to describe my location and hobby all in one! Oo Though looking at it more closely it could've put a bit more thought into it heh heh.
  20. Heh heh not surprised by the more traditional Police Station taking a slot. I love Swamp Police but I even I could tell it wasn't all the cool with the kids here in Japan. I got Swamp Police Station and the Crooks Hideout for half off on the same day at my local store. The sets worth having from the line up were never officially released in Japan (the Hovercraft Arrest and the Water Plane, both of which I had to import) and I am sure that probably dented perception in regions that were flooded with the rest of Swamp Police but not the coolest sets within it. Still kudos to the City line for having a top seller!
  21. That snow plow is awesome! It is up front on my traffic display at home heh heh. Grats on the Camper Van! It is a beauty!
  22. We are IN the pipe! 5 by 5! OO Can you make a whole fleet of these pretty pls?!!!! Escorted by a massive Sulaco? mmm.....I need to watch this movie again!
  23. Any reason why it can't be both? I have the Camper Van and will be getting the Van and Caravan this month. The Camper Van has a few things going for it but so does the Van and Caravan. The choice I guess will come down to your personal aesthetic when it comes to these vehicles. I am loving these recent campers to death so I can't resist myself! The Camper Van is a great display piece, the interior is pretty nice and the set on the whole has a lot of things for the pair of figures to do. The Van and Caravan also come in the 6 stud wide build (Which I prefer over the 4 stud wide build with the tires sticking out) and looking at it overall (love the online reviews for it) it has just as much charm as the Camper Van. And that is really it for me, both vehicles have that certain charm that just holds me, in fact the traffic/recreational vehicle line from Lego is by far one of the most appealing in the City line for me. I would suggest staggering your purchases, get the Camper Van first (since it is the older one and quite a looker) and later on get the Van and Caravan! You can't miss with either one IMHO.
  24. Thank you for the info! Wonder what kind of details it will have on the parts! As for the mask I reckon there is only so much you can do at that scale but I am still pumped I have no Vader yet so this will be my first. Rawr, Can't throw money at LEGO fast enough! Cant wait to see that!
