  1. Well they are constantly at 20% on amazon and except for maybe Vader never went out of stock much. I don't want to say they are bombing but they are not hot sellers either.
  2. No way Bossk will not be updated, he looks extremly dated. ( Also had to change my pants because of the BH BP confirmation ) Did you notice if the piece count was increased for the Battlepacks or if the builds were larger? They both seem rather nice to say the least. Thanks a lot for the update!
  3. I was bored by Tolkien's writing style at some point, I don't usually mind over elaborated style, heck I was able to get through the Silmarion ( not drunk, but that book is shite ), but the descriptions simply never ends! I get that Tolkien was writting this as some sort of escape from his experience from the great war but some stuff was plain stupid, ex: charging a spear wall head on with cavalry successfully. Anyone red a Song of Ice and Fire? And what did you think of them? Personally the first 3 books were highly addicting, some of the best stuff I red, the first half of the fourth one was meh while the second half was great and I couldn't care much for a Dance with Dragons ( the focused characters are fan favorites but their story arcs were soo lame ).
  4. I believe the micro fighters subject has not been touched yet: Am I the only one having a beef with their pricing and their concept in general? A lot of small pieces, a single fig and a 10 USD price tag? For 3$ more you can buy a starter or battle pack with 3 more mini-figs, albeit shittier builds. And I especially like how they ended up using the same pilot mini-fig for both the u-wing and y-wing, which are not cheap by any means, yet they have two different ones for the micros, looks like some proper marketing techniques. I'll propably end up bricklinking them.
  5. I think that Saw's gonna be included in a Rebels set, if they ever manage to release more than 2 proper sets a year. Lego coverage of Rebels is pretty awefull.
  6. As a completly new theme? Transformers ( I want a Sound Wave, and imagine getting all 5 combaticons to form Bruticus! ) as nice as Star Trek sounds unless you have to base it on the new movies I doubt it would happen. Some nintendo characters would also be nice. As a reboot.... I think everything was mentionned above.
  7. Interesting notes concerning the battlepacks is the price increase: they cost 3 more euro than usual, meaning more pieces = better builds.
  8. The figures have already been confirmed for the Quad, and they are lame: Finn, Rey, BB-8 and a Stormtrooper. Unless you meant freemakers? The Tracker 1 4 figs ( annoying brat, Emperor, what appears to be an Ithorian jedi with a dark green light saber and a probe droid ). The arrow head appears to include both of the kid's parents and their droid Roger, and two other figs, they are too blurry to make anything of them.
  9. Not sure about Clone Wars variant, but it's definitly not commander Bly in there: just a plain phase 1 clone trooper.
  10. Last episode was not too bad, cric crac made it possible to find a geonosian adorable and Saw was a complete megablocks. They were almost in danger a couple times, the key word is almost. The ghost almost established a new record, the one to beat is surviving the combined firepower of a couple TIEs and fregates at point blank range for 15 seconds, we are talking about a light freighter here? - They took no damage from a collapsing tunnel they were escaping from. - Apparently 2 proton torpedos can cut clean off a light imperial frigate, but a bombing run from 2 TIE bombers tickled the Ghost's shield. - Sabine wrecked the rocket troopers squadron ( which were AWESOME ) by farting thermal detonators 360 degree style with dead eye accuracy. ( Sand storm also scratched her paint job, which I think she found out to be more annoying ). Also mentions sand gets everywhere, which was funny. - I hate Sabine. - Ezra was surprinsingly decent troughout the episode. - The Imperials should pratice their fart jokes because it's not their ship or blasters that's gonna end this bunch of demi gods. - I think we need a Death Battle kind of video to match up the Death Star vs the Ghost, I'm betting on the Ghost. Sorry for the rant, but I try to make it entertainning.
  11. The stomtrooper commander figure is intriguing: they are either not final translation, a litteral storm trooper commander ( with blue stripes, member Force Unleashed? ) or a force order thingy. Darth Vader's transformation seems like a good deal considering the size of the thing. Here's my guess at the U.S prices, 75531 - Stormtrooper Commander buildable figure (24,99$)75532 - Scout Trooper & Speederbike buildable figure (54,99$)75166 - First Order Transportation Speeder Battle Pack (12,99$)75167 - Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack (12,99$)75178 - Jakku Quad Jumper (59,99$)75180 - Rathtar Escape (69,99$)75182 - Republic Fighter Tank (29,99$)75183 - Darth Vader Transformation (34,99$)75185 - Tracker 1 (69.99$)75186 - Arrowhead (89.99$)
  12. I know some people who went into the lobby for PTSD reasons, namely gruesome military service or recovering from injuries. I'm not aware of any trans Lego youtubers though.
  13. I stash them all in my closest: I put smaller boxes in the bigger ones and kind of display them. I could never get rid of the bigger boxes, especially the UCS Slave 1 box art it's so good looking.
  14. I think the only reason they still use the old heads for the modulars is for some kind of company legacy . I find them really creepy with modern hair and civilian clothing, like some kind of animated evil mannequin. I still like them with retro looking 90's medieval gear but meh. Thanks for mentionning trains, they have yet achieved to surpass the emerald night express IMO, And god that female mini-fig is loads of wrongs hahaha.
  15. The discussion shifted to starwars because it's the easiest way to compare sets, as so many remakes occurs For Starwars I'll go with the The 2007 MTT vs the 2014 one. Day and Night. Castle... the whole 2013 wave vs the previous Kingdom theme? I would also give Adventurers Desert and Jungle an edge over it's Orient Expedition counter part. Kind of gives me a nauxious vibe like Paradisa. And dare I say Bionicle? Edit: In response of Fred's concern on the falcon, the 2015 is overall the better model: the mandibles are worked better, the interior space is really nice and has a lot more greebling going on on the fuselage. The only annoying thing is the rectangular dish instead of the circular one if you're more of an OT fan.
  16. Simply dusting won't do it though, the dust seems to have litterally formed a ''solid'' crust on some of these models. Doesn't the clanking of the pieces in the washer too loud though? I can imagine the insane amount of noise it would make!
  17. I wonder if this is the closesest thing to a CMF Starwars is gonna get: but this doesn't bear the may the 4th badge on the lower right. All we can assume is that it's if there's a stand an pin they are going to release follow-ups in a timely fashion.
  18. I think showing grand moff tarkin as a brief aulogram would have been more subtle and the CGI would have been near impossible to detect because of the static.
  19. Well, the scenario depicted did not occured but the structure itself is quite accurate ( death star plan and orange crate excluded ). The cargo ship was too big to happen for the winter wave though, and sadly no RO sets for this summer ( Yay, Freemakers! )
  20. Takodana has a shittier build but at least the figs were nice. So much pieces were wasted on the Scariff set: the door mechanism, the under platform storage section and the exploding floor platforms, Jang covered all of it, except we was wrong on the pricing, it'a 60 US$. Mini-figs wise the two shore troopers are awesome, but only 4 figs? I'm gonna wait for the inevitable 20% from amazon on this one.
  21. I love that of all things the most up voted comment on the video is ''Nice, the tie Defender is cannon, I hope it becomes a Lego set''. Jesus Christ.
  22. Prices around Europe may vary wildly, Germany tends to get the better deals for example. I extrapolated what the sets will cost in CAN if any fellow Canucks tribesmen stumble upon this, of course without taxes. 75165 - Imperial Battle Pack 4 figs 111pcs 16$ CAN 75164 - Rebel Battle Pack 4 figs 120pcs 16$ CAN 75173 - Luke's Landspeeder 4 figs 149pcs 35$ CAN 75168 - Yoda's Starfighter 2 figs 262pcs 40$ CAN 75169 - Dual on Naboo 3 figs 208pcs 40$ CAN 75174 - Desert Skiff 4 figs 277pcs 50$ CAN 75170 - The Phantom 3 figs 269pcs 50$ CAN 75175 - A-Wing 3 figs 358pcs 60$ CAN ( pukes in a corner ) 75171- Battle on Scarif 4 figs 419pcs 75$ CAN 75172 - Y-Wing 5 figs 691pcs 90$ CAN The best values are obviously the Y-Wing and the Battlepacks, which I will get day one ( which mean march , because North America ) Overall I notice a SOLID 10$ increase from last year's winter wave equivalent sets, Obi Wan's Jedi starfighter being roughly the same size of Yoda's ship, yet is 10$ cheaper?, Luke's landspeeder is 35$ for barely including more pieces than a battlepack??? I'm really glad the decided to release another A-wing , Skiff with Sarlacc and Thrawn is finally in a lego set put jesus christ those prices are TFA bad.
  23. Well I mean it's certainly not Lego's fault, they saw how much people were willing to pay for the thing and released the thing again; after all the only things that are certain is this world is death and Lego Starwars remakes
  24. This looks like the exact copy of 10179 cropped with the Photoshop magic wand and filled with black. Uh.... I felt a disturbance in the force, as if people who bought this from the after market or bricklinked the thing suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced . I already shudder at the MSRP!
  25. I'd take an official set of this vehicle over an AT-ACT any time.
