  1. Ring of Kafrene – Located in the galaxy's Expansion Region between Takodana and the Corellian Trade Spine, the Ring of Kafrene is an asteroid belt in which a great mining colony was constructed in the days of the Old Republic. During the civil war, it is controlled by the Galactic Empire and home to a great number of different beings, looking to make a living under difficult circumstances. The Empire's grip around the system is tight, but the sheer amount of ragtag individuals crowding the streets of the colony makes it hard for authorities to keep a close eye on shady business being conducted in the back alleys. One can stumble upon a lot of useful information in this colony if asking the right questions – and quickly be silenced if asking the wrong ones. 2. You're welcome! It was a fun task, so I wanted to give it a shot right away. I would have gotten to it sooner but different timezones interfered, you posted your request at about 11pm at my place and I wouldn't get to a PC until the next morning, or else you would have gotten your reply within an hour. P.S.: I would love to see a photo of the finished & applied decal!
  3. Gave it a shot. I hope it's is similar to what you had in mind. I made two versions for good measure; one is like you requested, the other one is "Code Yellow" instead of "Orange", because, y'know, Lego. I thought it may be a funny thing to do in addition to replacing the album art with a minifig head, but feel free to use the one you find more appropriate.
  4. I think you did a fantastic paint job, especially on Plo Koon's fighter. Tbh, at first I didn't even see it was painted. I thought it was an official printing and that there was probably a playset with these printed parts, so I was pretty impressed to see that you did it yourself. Are these Revell colors you are using? I didn't browse all the pictures – it was a bit hard to view them all since you stored each link in a separate spoiler tag, unfortunately.
  5. I chuckled. I think I posted this before somewhere, but couldn't find it.
  6. It looks kinda plain if you look at the empty state, but if it were filled with TIEs, it would be simply glorious! So, a great and kinda sturdy-looking build, I also really like the rooftop, it looks very realistic. Good job!
  7. Do you have your photo on the computer? If so, on Mac, you can simple adjust the image size even in the preview app. Just open your photo with the default Preview, and in the menu there's a "Tools" option. You will find an "Adjust Size... " option there that lets you scale your image. You can also crop it there. Cropping and scaling your images is something you will be doing often when posting photos online for Nar Eurbrikka, so it's a good idea for you to become familiar with it.
  8. What seems to be the problem with your pictures? Maybe I can help. :)
  9. Welcome to Nar Eurbrikka! Too bad you chose the wrong side of the conflict, though... maybe one day you'll be allowed to peacefully surrender or die honorably.
  10. Very nice! Instantly recognizable, I like it a lot. Welcome back! :)
  11. Dunno if this is too late, but I just found your discussion from christmas about Thrawn's torso... ironically, I did a torso update specifically designed to address the insignia issue at the start of december, but simply forgot to post it here. But better late than never, I suppose? Go wild, have fun. /* Edit: I just realize why I didn't post it earlier, because it's not finished! Guess I'll finish it right now, it needs epaulettes and more details... brb with an updated version. //* Edit2: Updated. For anyone pointing out differences between this and the official Lego minifig, slight modifications were made to make it more movie-accurate.
  12. So, speaking of Dark Forces, I think you are still save to feature Kyle Katarn in your story, even though he isn't canon anymore. Just don't let him be the one who handed the Death Star plans over to Leia personally, let's just assume he was involved in infiltrating the Imperial Research Center on Eadu or something instead. Be creative
  13. I agree that it would be a nice shakeup and definitely feel connected with what's going on in the canon right now. Also, as official and confirmed information on new locations is starting to spread via wookieepedia and such, I am willing to contribute with additional planet and location bios, if wanted.
  14. Don't worry, I think you are off to a good start! :) First of all, it would be helpful if you could provide higher resolution pictures, so that it would be easier to check out your designs. From what I could see, I think this is already showing some promise. Having a common symbol for your knights so they are easily identifiable which side of the conflict they belong to is a very good design choice. Apart from that, your white knight can use some more details. For now, you have like the "raw design" that they would use as a template to paint on their clothes; now you have to make it look like they actually have it on their clothes. Folds and wrinkles indicate that someone is wearing a shirt, stitch lines can help make it look more medieval. You will probably want some kind of neckline and maybe have some chainmail be visible underneath it. Most knights wore those under their shirts. Also, a brown belt running diagonally across the torso would be a common thing, as knights often used one to carry their swords and shields on their backs. So, in essence, I think you will want to add some details. Don't be shy to look at official Lego designs for inspiration; it's never a shame to learn from the best and find out what makes their designs work. I'm looking forward to seeing your updated work! What software are you using, by the way?
  15. Was about to suggest those as well, but wanted to wait until the spoiler ban that we have in place lifts tomorrow... My suggestions are:
  16. Yeah, perhaps. I do test all my decals printed as stickers, though, to test it on actual minifigs before wasting precious decal paper :) Still, I have updated it with a bigger belt buckle. Also, I have added a back and I have a first version of the face decals, though I am still working on that. I think I am on the right track, but it could use a tad more likeness to Mads Mikkelsen. Check it out.
  17. That sounds good, I am glad to hear that you are better! Yes, check it out, even if you are not into traditional role playing, this is still just some harmless Lego fun after all Did you see Rogue One and the new Lego sets? I think the latest wave is pretty amazing, there is so much that I want in it
  18. I am so saddened by this. Star Wars is a great part of my life and helped make me who I am today. And Carrie was a big part of that and an icon of my childhood. You will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed. Thank you, princess. May you rest peacefully and with that adorable smile of yours on your lips.
  19. She didn't make it. Carrie Fisher has died. Rest in peace, princess...
  20. I can relate to a certain degree, OP, and I am glad that you are sharing your sentiments here. Talking about it is definitely better than keeping it inside. Also, Lego is a great hobby to resort to, because if offers so many options for creativity. So, keep going and try to do what you like to do. I take it from your avatar that you are a Star Wars fan, too? Maybe you'll want to check out the Nar Eurbrikka role play here on EB. It's great fun and lets you combine two great hobbies into one and be creative together with others, not just with building but also with telling and sharing stories. It's not as social as going out and meeting people, but still some good fun nonetheless! I think it should be noted that this is a very strong and good post. Reading it, I couldn't help but nod all the way through.
  21. Yes, I am currently working on that!
  22. The stable condition thing was, sadly, a misreport. She is in ICU and not even her brother who is there in person has heard anything solid about her condition for hours now. Things are... not looking too bright right now. Hang in there, Your Highness. This is our most desperate hour.
  23. I think it is a little sad that nowadays (and I do blame the modern internet culture for this), everyone has to voice his or her opinion by trashtalking something. "X is sooo good, it utterly destroys Y", "Y is so great it wipes the floor with X easily", and so on. Like, I loved The Force Awakens, and I love Rogue One now, but I don't feel the need to put more weight to my opinion by emphasizing how much better RO is than TFA. I can enjoy both without attesting clear superiority to one over the other. I wish people would return more to celebrating something without belittling something else at the same time. Having said that, I walked out of the theater the first time thinking it was cool, but by now I think it is excellent. I really, really enjoy Rogue One and have seen it two times now, I will soon go a third time and maybe even a fourth, which would be the most time I've seen a movie in cinemas.
  24. Update 2: grey lines and wrinkles for better visibility when printed, added binoculars. Update 1: Added face, back. Hi there, I am currently working on decals for Rogue One's Galen Erso and am finished for now with the torso, so I thought I would share my progress here in case anybody wants to use them, since there is no official minifig (yet). This is his farmer outfit from the trailers: This served as my template. I hope I can come up with a good face, too, and eventually post it here. Let me know what you think, c&c welcome!
  25. Hope it's okay if I step in too, I would be curious to see the design on a torso Keep in mind though that if you are using a clear decal, the yellow color of the bat logo, especially on dark grey surfaces, will probably not work too well.
